A truly special and beautiful spot! We spent our evenings watching the sun set on incredible views from the hot tub. Totally enchanted! We loved the peace and quiet around the lodge but could easily get to the surrounding areas to enjoy beaches, eateries and walks. An absolutely brilliant wee break away!

Thank you to Vivienne for allowing us to stay in her beautiful house. It was exactly what we needed after 2 very busy days. The hot tub went down an absolute treat. The scenery surrounding the place was incredibly beautiful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to relax and unwind.

Absolutely amazing. Very clean and exactly as shown on pictures. I was a bit worried about being cold overnight but the heating was working very well and kept us warm at all times. Netflix wasn’t working- I guess it’s to with the rural area so it affects the internet connection. We weren’t aware of extra electricity charges until the arrival but that didn’t affect our stay what so ever. Everything was spot on. Thank you!

I stayed about a month and travelled around a bit. It's a good location the weather is a little more dry and sunny in this area compared to the surroundings. If you need a minimalist spot to stay while in the highlands or passing through this is a good location. There are lots of places within the close vicinity to a hour each way depending on what you are looking to do. Very easy to get to and in and out of with a local shop and market a few blocks down. Host was super nice and communicative and the facilities were perfect for my needs whilst I stayed.

Capo Farmhouse is a true gem to find. From the clear and accurate pictures you can really see what the house & surrounding area is going to be. What the pics do not convey is how spacious and private the house is. This is an incredible part of the world and using Capo Farmhouse (&cottages) as a base to explore from is an honour. And, if you want to stay close to 'home' the Farmhouse is absolutely the best place to do this. They have a great array of games, the hot tub, the beautiful gardens and lovely walks close by without having to drive. We would highly recommend the Farmhouse and the standout features for us are the cosy feel of the place with the fire on. The ridiculously comfortable beds. The amazing surroundings and how private & peaceful it is. Just remember to take your own coffee!

The cabin is lovely and we especially enjoyed the log burning fire and seating area with comfy swing chair and hammock. Steve was very friendly and helpful. Perfect place to go to relax and Forres is beautiful too.

hele lieve mensen, met een lief huisje op hun terrein. Fruit en melk was als welkom aanwezig en ook verse bloemen. Aanrader is Stonehaven en de wandeling naar het kasteel, prachtig.

A wonderful place to stay, I highly recommend it. Alistair was a fantastic host. Upon our arrival we even had bread, wine and milk waiting for us. There are two very good breakfast spots nearby and the town of Ballater is about a ten minute drive away for shopping, groceries, drinks and dinner. The area is very peaceful. Also, Balmoral castle is right down the road!

We had a magical stay at the cottage! The pictures don’t do justice to it and we highly recommend getting better pictures. We got very lucky with the weather, saw sun, rainbow and snowfall! The place is also aptly located for northern lights sightings. We got amazing sightings from the cottage on two nights. The Aga kitchen is 5 stars in itself! We loved bringing in new years at the cottage with our little baby. The cot and high chair were both super helpful. Thank you Jennifer for being so responsive and helping our stay.

Stayed for 3 nights with my dog. Holmhead exceeded my expectations and I felt instantly at home. The location is superb and perfect for exploring the Cairngorms or even just stepping outside the front door and being in the forest. The cottage is extremely well equipped for its size and I found a few things, for guests use, that I wasn't quite expecting, (hot water bottles :) ). The brand new electric heating is very effective and the log burner is 'ferocious', but definitely a must when temperatures were below freezing. Cat is a very gracious, accommodating and genial host. I would definitely stay here again and recommend thoroughly.

Fantastic cottage! Host was great, very helpful and kind. Good base to explore Aberdeen. Cosy, clean and loads of interesting books to flick through. Highly recommend ☺️

We had a great stay on our trip to visit friends in Aberdeen. Peter and Angela were great hosts, giving good suggestions for activities with kids like the science centre and innoflate which were 5 minutes away at the beachfront. The apartment was well stalked and spacious, ideal for our small kids. Peter even obliged with getting a new remote control for the TV as a replacement for one that was on the way out We would definitely stay again on future trips

We had a fantastic stay in Viewfield Gardens. Colin’s house is extremely well equipped, 2 receptions rooms, plus conservatory and a spacious kitchen diner! The bathroom was fab with a great shower! The house was spotlessly clean. It was a relaxing and welcoming place to come home to having explored the delights of Aberdeen. There is also a very pretty park within a minute’s walk! Communication with Colin was great! Lots of info before arrival - Thank you!

Ideally located in Central Forres with all local amenities easily accessed. House is clean, well equipped and great for a couple or lone traveller and is in a quiet pedestrian area just off the High Street.

Cute and cozy home that was perfect for my family of three (would well suit a family of four as well). Excellent location, will definitely stay again next time we are in town visiting family.

Lovely flat, great location. Easy to find with very good directions. Very handy for city centre, and a 20-25 walk to West End. I didn't try the gym, but I'll do that next time. Begona was very helpful with any questions I had. Will definitely stay again.

John went above and beyond with responding to me quickly and giving thorough answers to my questions! He took care of everything that came up! Parking wasn’t bad at all even though it’s a street over from the Main Street! The area around was walkable even with the bad weather that came through during my stay!

Amazing flat and was very spacious for the 3 of us who stayed. Instructions to check in and check out were straightforward and easy to understand. There was also a guide on the local area which included numbers for taxi’s if required. If you are visiting Aberdeen I strongly recommend this as a place to stay 😊

What a stunning place to stay! This was our last night in Scotland & we loved spending it in the gatehouse at the castle! Everything about our stay was very special, the property has been decorated with love, every small detail added to our comfort & enjoyment. Fluffy, generous & plentiful towels, crispy sheets & supportive pillows on quality beds, welcome basket of goodies, well equipped kitchen, inviting bath…the list goes on. Breakfast at the farm shop was yummy & overall a stand out stay for our family on our road trip through England, Ireland, Wales and beautiful Scotland. Thanks Sarah 🙂

We loved our time in Anters Cottage! The surroundings of the estate were beautiful and peaceful, and only a short distance from the village. We were able to explore and hike the surrounding munros and come back to a cozy fire and bath. Lots of space to dry off our things too! We can't wait to come back again in the future.
