Renee's place was great and my group of friends really enjoyed our winter stay. The cottage was modern and cozy, and the views were great from both decks. We had everything we needed, and the kitchen was well equipt with pots & pans of various sizes, cutlery, and dishes which was a welcomed surprise. The amount of beds really came in handy with a larger group, and they were comfy with clean sheets. The location was great for us as we were there to ice fish so didn't really need any entertainment or amenities, but there's really no grocery stores or shops around so make sure you bring everything you need. The driveway just fit 3 SUV's but we needed to manoeuvre the cars to get them to fit and getting them out was a bit of a struggle as the driveway is a little steep and slippery when iced over. Overall, we had a lovely stay and I would definitely stay here again!

Our six weeks stay at Heathers place was amazing. She is one of the most accommodating hosts we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The house was supurb, well heated and cozy for our winter stay. The kitchen modern and well equipped. The two bedrooms we used were a little small but more than adequate for our needs and the yard spacious. Kelly’s place is well worth every penny. Beautiful river and huge property with a great fire pit and multiple paddle boats. Also well equipped inside with everything you need and very well kept. Felt right at home. Would definitely recommend!

Christina's cottage was a great place to relax and unwind with my friends. Seriously, we didn't want to leave. The house is clean, uncluttered, and perfectly decorated. The fully stocked kitchen and comfortable living room made our stay extra enjoyable. Christina has thought of everything that a traveler may need... snacks, games, toiletries, beach towels.. you name it. The back deck gave us a front row seat for the sunset, so nice! She was very responsive to anything we needed. Great house, great host. Thank you.

Our stay at the cottage was very enjoyable. The cottage was very clean with all essentials and many pleasant extras included like Keurig machine, bbq, kayaks and canoes, fire pit, and pool. The lake is quiet here with access to it steps from the cottage. A little boat house is also available with many life jackets for adults and kids. Fishing can be done at the dock. Rich was an excellent and responsive host. He answered all my questions promptly and helped us literally within minutes when we needed additional info about the area. We definitely would recommend friends to stay at this lovely cottage!

This home is stunning, and well equipped, in a beautiful location. It was outstanding to be right on the lake with kayaks and canoes. Nights were spent grilling, having bonfires, and looking out over the lake (or up at the stars) in the hot tub. Everything was fantastic - the only downfall is accessibility, as you need to take a ferry to the island. At the end of the day though, the ferry was just an extra piece of planning and research, but was unproblematic. Great house - thank you Maria!

Our second time staying with Jenny, just as good as the first! Perfect house for large groups. Jenny is great to deal with and always quick to respond. Great location if you would like to stay close to PEC.

We had an amazing time at Pete’s. The location was perfect, we had our own private beach. The kids enjoyed the provided kayaks and water toys. Our dogs lived in the water for 7 days. The house is much bigger than it appears in photos, and has ample room for a large family or group.

We had a very relaxing, peaceful time at the cottage, it is the perfect place to recharge! Everything in the description is true. The place is spotless, tastefully done, awesome woodstove with wood supplied. The kitchen spice cupboard is a dream. The host even has some coffee if you run low. Everything is top of the line, what a treat! Another treat is feeding the birds, chipmunks, red squirrels and a friendly black one. Jars of food to share with our furry friends! This is our second time visiting. The location is easy to find and down the road from Apsley.Definitely worth the drive! Thanks Stephen we'll visit again.

We had such a wonderful stay! The space was warm, inviting, and all it was advertised to be. It was exactly what we needed—a comfortable and peaceful spot to relax. Beautiful winter stay at well equipped comfy cabin! Definitely need 4WD and snow tires for the roads up in Haliburton. But so beautiful and peaceful with gorgeous view of the lake. Deer come through the property regularly. Cabin warmed up quick once wood stove got going. Beds were very comfortable. I only recommend visitors bring dry firewood to get fire going when you arrive. :-) Great experience would love to book again in fall.

Sone and Blessy's cottage exuded warmth and hospitality, making it the perfect vacation rental for relaxation and fun. The cottage easily accommodated our group of 8 and offered plenty of amenities, including canoeing, an outdoor fireplace, and a game room. The well-equipped kitchen and large living room added to our enjoyment. We were impressed by the spotless cleanliness and hotel-style bedding. We can't wait to return!

Very cozy stay! We stayed during a winter storm and the wood stove kept us warm. It was also very clean and had a nice full kitchen. The location is very nice and feels private as well.

We spent three lovely late winter nights. The cottage was clean, spacious and very inviting. My wife and I loved the sauna and my kids loved the hot tub. We cozied up in the evening watching movies, puzzling and playing cards. The deck with the fire pit was a favourite spot for a morning coffee looking at the frozen lake. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to escape the city and unwind for a getaway as a couple or family. Hosts were fantastic!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Cedar Canoe Cottage! The cottage itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed exploring on the kayaks, paddle board and canoe.

Had a nice weekend on shores of Golden Lake. Desmond was very accommodating when we had to switch dates due to conflicts, and was very good to communicate with. Cottage was a rustic combination of old meets new; but everything needed was there.

We had a fantastic stay for a long weekend (birthday) getaway. Nice private location with a view. Enjoyed the hot-tub while watching the first snowfall of the season, wood stove and the well stocked kitchen. Host even left some treats for my pup, which she really enjoyed and was very responsive/helpful. Pros: private location, right on the water, kayak/canoe/hot tub for use, well stocked kitchen, responsive host! Cons: (only 1!) mice! My dog could not stop hunting the cabin throughout our stay lol (she is dedicated, like a cat!) , and we did find some droppings on the dishes in the cupboards, before use. Overall - we had a fantastic time. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back soon!

We had the most peaceful winter getaway at the cabin! The cabin was the perfect place to get out of the city and enjoy the natural surroundings, the quiet, and the snow. We loved having a cozy fire in the woodstove or a hottub soak after a snowy hike or snowshoe at Gatineau Park. What a beautiful place. Thank you Kim and Scott!!

We had a great stay at The Boathouse. The cabin is cosy and cute, and very tastefully decorated and stocked for a winter stay - from cute little knick-knacks on the bookshelf, to old National Geographics to take a little nostalgic trip back in time, as well as interesting books to leaf through for a stay in and fun games to play. Cindy and her family were very welcoming and accommodating, from providing headlamps when we forgot ours to well-stocked snowshoes if you want to explore nearby trails. beautiful sunsets and sunrises as well! we cooked a few of our meals and thought that while the kitchen is generally well stocked, could maybe do with a refreshing of the utensils (maybe more spatulas/turners). the shower was also a bit tight for my bf (he is 6'3). thank you Cindy and family for an overall wonderful stay!

We spend my husband's birthday at Katherine & William’s cabin. The space is super cute and cozy, we felt at home! The surroundings are beautiful and calm, perfect for a weekend getaway. We also took advantage of Katherine’s tips and spent some time at trails and local restaurants, and it was amazing! I highly recommend and it was one of my best Airbnb experiences!

My partner and I had a wonderful long weekend at Krista's bunkie. It was so warm and cozy, a perfect place to hunker down over a snow stormy weekend. Krista was very friendly and responsive, she reached out a couple times throughout our stay to ensure all was well and to see if we needed anything. The bunkie is fully stocked with all the essentials you'd need(paper towels,Kleenex,salt,pepper,olive oil etc.)and is super homey. Overall, super peaceful and relaxing stay- Highly recommend!

Best cabin-in-the-woods weekend ever! Perfect spot for hiking, kayaking, movie watching, and board games. Bill went above and beyond to make the trip go smoothly.

We had a wonderful stay in this cabin where we spent two days remote working and a weekend (internet connection is reliable). It is peaceful, we saw some little animals outside the cabin like a rabbit and a deer. Snowhoes are available to explore the domain and there is an access to the lake.
