Very pleasantly surprised. We were worried about no air conditioning but it was very comfortable and cool and the room was spacious and nice. The natural setting was so relaxing and the onsen bath was really nice too. Good value.

We enjoyed ourselves with all the Oriyamake had to offer. Hideyuki-San was a very gracious host and creatively curated the entire experience for us. It was very enriching, having fun and learning about Matagi culture.

I wanted a rural and rustic winter experience in Akita and this place delivered everything I'd hoped for. It is a gorgeous and secluded spot that's a good bit away from everything but not too far. Nozomi and his family were kind and gracious hosts. I was sad to leave.

Teisuke's entire family was very welcoming. They always kept in touch and made sure I was safe traveling to and from and while staying there. They gave me local recommendations and even offered to participate in their family activities. They treated me like a family member. Their house is quite big, a bit cold during the winter season but they give you loads of blankets!

It was a really good and relaxing stay, the place is really authentic and peaceful and Akio is a great host, always responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend

Wir hatten nur einen Zwischenstopp für eine Nacht geplant. Wir bereuen es sehr nicht länger geblieben zu sein. Hiro und seine Mitbewohnerin Nozomi sind sehr nette und freundliche Menschen. Wir haben uns direkt heimisch gefühlt. Am selben Abend nach dem Check-In haben wir gemeinsam eingekauft, gekocht und gegessen. Wir haben bis spät in die Nacht gemeinsam geredet und gelacht. Für uns war es einer der besten Abende unseres Urlaubs. Wenn wir nochmal in der Nähe sind, werden wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen! Danke Hiro und Nozomi für eure Gastfreundschaft!
