Thank you to the brilliant hosts for making our stay so enjoyable. Perfect location beside the sea, and within 5 minutes drive of the supermarket and restaurants in Akranes. Under an hour into the city centre and just over an hour to the airport. The ideal base. Salvor and Bjorn were so kind and welcoming. The apartment looks out at the sea, and was immaculately prepared. Full of personal touches and all essentials. The hot tub was a godsend each night, and we got the northern lights on our last night. What an end to a great stay. Fully recommend staying here. If it was a hotel it would be a 5 star. Thank you again to our lovely hosts.

Great stay! The unit is warm and comfortable, lots of space and comfort for your guests. It was nice that the space had so much as far as ease with the grocery store close and walkable restaurants/bar, scenic things to see. We stayed for 7 days and this was our base, we saw and did so much of Iceland and our group was always comfortable and at ease. Amenities are great and lots of kitchen items for all your cooking needs. Would definitely stay again. I appreciate the heat was set and ready for us when arriving. We couldn’t figure out the bathroom fan but otherwise stay was great!

If you are going to Iceland, I can not say enough about this space. I got lost the first night, which was my fault and I forgot where I put the code to the lock box. The space was gorgeous, I saw the northern lights from the outside deck, we were on the water, the sunsets were stunning. You could have fit 4 easily, but if you have children, the couches where very comfortable so you could fit more. You had every amenity you could need (well, I could need) I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, it was perfect for us, and the hosts were great. Thank you for a wonderful lodging for our stay.

Die Unterkunft von Hafrun ist wirklich ein Traum. Auf den Bildern sieht sie gut aus, in echt ist sie einfach fantastisch. Modern, extrem sauber, gepflegt, stilvoll. Die Lage am Meer ist toll, ein Parkplatz ist vorhanden und sie ist einfach zu erreichen. An Ausstattung ist alles da, was man von einem AirBnB zu erwarten hat und noch viel mehr. Die Küche ist besser ausgestattet als meine eigene und ansonsten ist auch in der gesamten Wohnung alles vorhanden, was der Herz begehrt. Hafrun ist ein sehr zuvorkommender Gastgeber, meldet sich immer sehr zeitnah, ist immer sehr freundlich und respektvoll und kümmert sich um die Anliegen. Außerdem gibt es in der Wohnung einen kleinen Reiseführer mit Tips für Akranes sowie Island an sich. Dieser hat uns sehr geholfen. Alles in allem ist die Unterkunft ein wahrer Diamant, wenn man in einer ruhigen Gegend ein paar schöne Tage in Island verbringen möchte. Vielleicht ein bisschen teuer, aber bei dem was man bekommt, kann man da drüber hinwegsehen.

Una hat eine tolle Wohnung in der die Familie sonst selber lebt. Die gesamte Wohnung ist modern eingerichtet. Die Betten / Matrazen sind sehr gut und die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Die Waschküche nicht zu vergessen mit Waschmaschine und Trockner. Una und ihr Ehemann stehen bei Problemen schnell zur Verfügung. Wichtig zu wissen, dass es morgens lange dauern kann bis warmes Wasser kommt, aber es kommt :-) In naher Umgebung ist ein Bäcker (Kallabakkri), zu Fuss erreichbar. Gut Essen lässt sich mittags oder abends im "Galito". Una hat eine kleine Mappe mit Informationen zu Akranes vorbereitet. Bei Sonnenschein gerne zum Strand fahren. Rundum eine tolle Wohnung.

I spent 5 nights in the apartment related to work near Akranes - my most important criteria is that it is quiet and peaceful in the neighbourhood. The apartment is basically at the end of a dead-end street. No traffic whatsoever. Great view towards the ocean. The host was responsive and dealt with one minor issue promptly. The apartment is functional, everything was working fine (laundry machine, Netflix on the TV and WiFi) - I can recommend staying here for your trip to Iceland.

I wish that Airbnb included a rating titled ' seriously awesome' because that is how we would rate our stay with Patrycja , Max and Cat 💯👌🌟 From the moment I reached out to Patrycja 2 years ago I have been confident that our stay in Arkranes would be wonderful and I was right. Patrycja is a genuine, warm, welcoming and generous host. She has a lovely very comfortable modern home. We enjoyed being able to sit in the alfresco hot jacuzzi for a couple of hours after a long days drive. In addition to being an accomplished flautist and piano player, Patrycja is an extremely interesting person to talk with. Her knowledge of tourist sites around Iceland is wonderful . We really enjoyed the Icelandic lamb soup Patrycja prepared for us , and delicious coffee and home made Polish cookies each morning. The neighbourhood is safe and there is a delicious bakeri a couple of blocks away .We would stay with Patrycja again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her Air bnb if you are in this area.
