Staying at Daniela & Carmen’s house was a wonderful experience. The view from their back porch is awesome, and their hospitality is even better. It was a true, local, hosted experience (what AirBnb was founded on)! The house is up on a steep hill, but it’s in a great, cozy location; totally worth it for the views and cool breezy weather. It was a very comfortable, economical accommodation, just as their listing had described. Also, Carmen is a great cook, very caring, and was super patient with my mediocre Spanish! Daniela was an awesome host; she communicated really well about logistics, was flexible with my shifting plans, and was super friendly. I would stay with them again in a heartbeat.

The house was clean and neat. Great location only minutes drive to downtown La Fortuna. Only recommendation would be to possibly put a sign at the road as the house was tucked back off the road a bit. There was a great little breakfast place only a few minutes walk from the house. This was my families pick for best house as part of our vacation.

We stayed just one night as we were using the area as a half-way point to our next destination, but have no complaints. I did not think to see if there was hot water for a shower, but the climate is so nice, it was not a major problem. The hosts were responsive, and very accommodating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Esmeralda, which is located across from an Indigenous art gallery in the countryside, about a half-hour drive from the busy streets of Monteverde. It is conveniently located about a half-hour drive from the Selvatura Park and Treetopia Park. The house is modern, attractive and nicely furnished. The kitchen is well equipped with quality appliances and cookware. The mattresses and furniture are super comfortable.The house is spotlessly clean. Access to the home is secured via an electric gate. Our host, Miriam, is a charming and gracious lady, who welcomed us warmly and ensured we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. Although we don’t speak a word of Spanish, she communicated with us with the assistance of Google Translate. Of the three homes we rented during out Costa Rica vacation (all of which were lovely), Casa Esmeralda was by far the best value.

Had a bit of difficulty finding the place but that was due to my inability to use my Google Maps when dropped off by bus as local Walmart lot. I reached out to the owner and I was quickly picked up by Leila's husband. The next day it was an easy walk to the airport. A 20 min. walk with my backpack. Very convenient location for flight arrival or departure.

Todo el servicio fue increíblemente amable, y muy pendiente de todo. Siempre dispuestos ayudar y recomendar Restaurantes y actividades cercas de la zona. la Ubicación es perfecta, cerca de Rest. Laundrys.. etc. En lo personal me encanto, adicional viajábamos con un mejor y fue super cómodo y agradable el ambiente para el también. Definitivamente regresamos.

Very beautiful location on Lake Arenal, lots of birds in the garden, amazing view, and excellent restaurant on the property. We were able the rent a kayak to explore the lake which was a lot of fun and very convenient. Stayed one night on the way from La Fortuna to Monteverde.

Koky es amable y atento, nos ayudó con el check in adelantado, el lugar es bonito y seguro, muy cerca del centro pero a pesar de esto muy tranquilo. Muy recomendado.

We stayed here one night and our time was MUCH too short. We are already planning to return for a longer time. It is perfect for a couple or a family and even for a small group. A stay for one night or one month, this place is perfect. A stay for one couple or one family, or for a larger group, this place is perfect. It is an excellent place to enter and leave the country, since it is close to the airport, and it is an excellent place to use as your base as you explore the surrounding area. It is also an excellent place to stay and be relaxed and refreshed. And, the customer service is excellent. Manual is very responsive and helpful and his staff are kind, thoughtful and very good at making guests feel cared for and at home.

Nice and clean. Good service and maricela even came and picked me up at my previous hotel. Beautiful garden and balcony to enjoy.

We booked this little house before going to Monteverde NP and it was very much worth it. The location is on a hill so a decent car is advised, the views are amazing, Mari was there to welcome us and show us the lock for the gate, the views are amazing, there is a bit of street noise but it didn't bother us too much, and also: the views are amazing! Really!

Rebecca's place worked out well for our trip to LaFortuna. It's about 10 min to town. It's a nice place. The pool was great. Be aware that the Hottub is a Jacuzzi that you have to fill with cold water and then wait 2 hrs for the heater to warm it up. Not a deal breaker but something to be aware of. The other issue is the rooster next door starts going off at 5:10 am like an alarm clock.
