This beautiful Oakland Oasis was better than I imagined it would be! This place exceeded my expectations! Coming through the gate the first night, to a path of twinkling lights leading us to our adorable cabin took my breath away! It was the perfect location for peace and quiet right in the middle of Oakland. My only regret is that I didn’t spend more time on the property. We flew in from out of state to visit friends and spent a lot of time out and about. I definitely want to come back to spend more time hanging out in the backyard with the goats and chickens. My 13-year-old loved the backyard, the trampoline and the animals. The location was very walkable and within several blocks of many restaurants and shops. We rented a car and street parking was easily accessible. Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park was only an 8 minute drive away and we spent most mornings walking through the mountains enjoying the beautiful trees and views of San Francisco. Highly recommend this listing!

I had such a lovely stay at Maria's cottage! Comfortable bed, loads of towels, coffee, and sparkling waters combined with gorgeous views made for a special couple of days. As other reviews have mentioned, you can tell that Maria has a love of hosting, which shows up in the sweet touches and great organization of the space, as well as her kind communication. I will return to this property, especially as it is priced so well!

We were in a pinch and Radhia was quick to respond and offer up a solution. She allowed us to drop our luggage off at the main house as we had to be out of our other place at 11 am. By the time we checked in she had brought our luggage to the quest cabin. Little things like that make all the difference. Thank you for your hospitality and allowing us to stay at your cabin. It was exactly what we needed.

What a wonderful find! One could not ask for a more beautiful, quiet location, but still close to good food, shopping and hiking. The apartment is appointed with lovely fabrics designed by the owners and art from their travels. Everything is spotless, the bed is amazing and the hosts offer tea, coffee and the basics for breakfast. My friend and I both loved it.

We enjoyed our stay at Barbara's charming Backyard Beach House for the third time, and felt at home there. We find it restful to stay in this quiet neighborhood. It's always nice to communicate with Barbara and Ken, as they are readily available if we have questions or requests. We consider this house a gem of a find. Thank you again Barbara and Ken for contributing to our lovely vacation.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Sarah's place! Sarah has created a back yard paradise and the cottage is lovely. The beds are really comfortable. It is also within walking distance of a great coffee shop that had wonderful breakfast and lunch options. We ate there several times. The Vallejo ferry to San Francisco is a convenient distance from the cottage and worth the ride. This is a wonderful gem in the Airbnb world. And Sarah is amazing!

Really enjoyed our stay, it felt like an old-school style AirBnb. Nice welcome note, delicious breakfast snacks, stocked bathroom.

A fanatic spot. Close to lots of things but still in a quiet neighborhood. Very proactive and friendly host made the whole experience so easy. Highly recommend!

It’s a great little studio in a nice area in San Rafael. Andrea was very kind enough to let us do a late check-in and was flexible with check out. The apartment has all you need for a quick few nights stay. The area was safe and quiet. The bed was very comfy. Overall it’s a good value and in a good location

I enjoyed my stay at Mary Lee and David’s place. It was perfectly located for my purposes, affording easy access to both the East Bay and Marin. The place is well appointed and clean, the entry through the backyard pretty, and the neighborhood charming. They were great hosts - available, but not hovering, their communication clear and timely.

Mira was quick to respond and provided clear directions. Her place is in a quiet residential neighborhood. It’s bright and airy and had everything we needed for our short stay! Will certainly stay again!

The guest house is tiny but very clean and quiet. Perfect for the three nights we stayed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the view of the bay, bridge, and city lights. The private patio allowed us space to enjoy the outdoors while visiting with my son and his girlfriend who are Berkeley students. The robes and slippers for the hot tub were a nice touch. You definitely want to have a car if you stay up in the hills as the hike up is steep. We had a rental car and there was plenty of street parking available.

A quiet and comfortable spot. Unlimited things to do with its proximity to the grand/lakeshore district. I love the view from the backyard and have had a great peaceful stay everytime I’ve booked. Would highly recommend!

Great! We were warn of a tempory fly infestation and asked if wr wanted yo cancel but we did not and there was no flies.

Skavik's cottage, in their beautiful backyard was just wonderful! The space was just right for us. We normally don't stay in studios, but the way this was laid out worked out really well for us. He and his wife were always so accommodating and so kind. We had a medical issue, and they were so good about checking in with us to make sure we were doing okay. We felt very comfortable there and they have done just such a nice job with decor + with the outside spaces and garden!

Mary & Steve are awesome hosts as they always go above and beyond! Their cozy Cottage is always our first choice when visiting the Bay Area. The cleanliness, amenities, comfort and coziness give us the feeling of being right at home. On our next visit to the Bay Area we certainly hope Mary & Steve's Cottage will be available.

I stayed at Steven's place while attending a conference at SFSU. It was in a nice and quiet neighborhood and very conveniently located for my purposes. It was a quick walk to the university. It was also a 10 minute walk from grocery stores/ a mall and a 5 minute walk to the MUNI. The apartment itself was clean, quiet, and had a very comfortable bed. Steven was quick to respond and very accommodating when I had questions about my reservation. I would stay here again.

First let me start by saying the pictures posted are exactly as the place! It’s street parking but felt safe as a residential neighborhood with plenty of parking. Kananu was very respectful & responsive within minutes if not seconds! Kananu’s place has everything you need to feel right at home. The host gave nice recommendations for what’s in the area for dining, fun activities for all ages & shopping. We had a small issue with the water heater making nose and she was able to get the issue resolved quickly without interfering with our stay. I would definitely recommend Kananu’s place to anyone traveling to the area and definitely will be back for another stay! Her place definitely makes you feel like you’re in your own home.

Within a 5 to 10-minute drive, you'll find Costco, Walmart, Safeway, 24 Hour Fitness, and even Nordstrom Rack. Access to the freeway is quick and hassle-free. Jun’s place is in a safe, quiet neighborhood, and inside, you'll find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The space is impeccably clean and well-organized. A+ for both the host and the accommodation!
