This place was nice. We could tell Kristen spent time and effort making this a welcoming and pleasing place to relax on a getaway. Close to the hot springs and Alamosa without being in a busy or noisy area. We all slept well and enjoyed our stay! We only stayed one night but wished we had booked two nights. We were on a girls' trip, but this location would have been great for a family adventure or a romantic weekend. The views from the house are beautiful. Kristen responds quickly to requests and questions. We've already recommended this site to friends and family. We plan on staying here again when we visit the sand dunes with our kids this summer. We had a really peaceful weekend in this campsite. Nothing but a fire ring, bench, and a flat patch of gravel surrounded by some awesome mountains. The views of the dunes were cool especially getting the transition from sunset, moonrise, and sunrise. The stargazing would have been great if the moon wasn't so bright. We'll definitely be happy to come back in the future. There was plenty of clear space for our big tent. We didn't encounter a single human or animal while out there, just total peace.

What an exceptional visit and what an exceptional location and space. We absolutely enjoyed it and would recommend this to anyone looking for serenity and a change of pace.

The wood cabin was comfortable and cozy, especially in the winter. The wood burning stove kept the main area really warm with plenty of wood logs supplied. The kitchen was stocked with breakfast food and all the utensils you need to cook. There were thoughtful touches to amenities needed for a comfortable stay like board games, books, extra toothbrushes, etc. While the cabin is in the valley, the location is central to a lot of recreational places with Sangre de Cristo mountains to the right and San Juan mountains to the left. We were 40 min to sand dunes in the east, 60 min to wolfcreek ski area to the west, and about 30 min to del norte. It’s also dark sky at night so you can see the stars and the constellations really well at night. Great find!

We enjoyed our stay here! It was so beautiful and peaceful. Very quiet and incredible breathtaking views on all sides. We enjoyed the fireplace. Highly recommend staying here if you are planning to visit the Great Sand Dunes! The hosts were very quick to respond and super nice!

Bro, this place blew my mind. The Sacred White Shell Mountain Campground is next-level perfect. The views of Mount Blanca? Unreal. Like, you look around, and it feels like the mountains are flexing just for you. The night sky? Absolute stunner—stars for days. This spot gave me all the space I needed to vibe out and just be in nature. The setup is clean, private, and peaceful. Major points for being dog-friendly too—my pup and I had the ultimate bro adventure. If you're into epic mountain backdrops, chill vibes, and camping like a legend, this is the place to be. Highly recommend. Would I come back? Hell yeah. Stay here—you won’t regret it. 🏔️🔥

We absolutely loved our stay in Mosca! The view from the cabin of both the Great Sand Dunes National Park and the night sky is absolutely stunning! The location was perfect to enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets at the Great Dunes National Park with the deer and then hike to the ethereal frozen waterfall at Zapata Falls! We went to both multiple times a day since we were right by the entrance to both!!! The cabin has lofty ceilings with floor to ceiling windows and a huge deck to enjoy the view! The beds were clean and comfortable, the living room has comfy couches with a fireplace to soak up the views in comfort, and the kitchen was well-appointed with even amazing coffee! Every last detail was perfect — from comfortable beds, to beautifully pruned trees for the perfect view, to guidebooks and tips, to fun paths throughout the property, to the utterly clear and peaceful night sky with more stars than we’d ever seen before!
