The place was great with a group of friends, even had leftover rooms.

I had such a lovely stay at this unique top-floor Airbnb in Alameda! Nestled right by the lagoon, the location was peaceful and scenic, with gorgeous light filtering through the windows all day. The space had this wonderful artsy, hippy-aunt energy — full of character, cozy nooks, eclectic decor, and little touches that made it feel like a true home away from home. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, breathe, and enjoy a good book or a walk by the water. Super comfortable, clean, and well-stocked with everything I needed. Alameda itself is a charming escape just outside the bustle of SF, and this spot was the perfect base for exploring. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something with heart and soul. I’d absolutely stay here again!

This place made us want to sell our home and move in. It was perfect, quaint, clean, had amazing amenities. The neighborhood was adorable, amazing views.... 10000000/10. Definitely stay here if you get the chance.

Very spacious. Had great time with family

We took our electric car to Civic Center. It would be 80% charged at 11pm. We could have left it overnight. However, when we explained to Dave that we tired and were unable to charge from our arbnb unit; he explained it was very old wiring and that he would extend the power from the back with a 100 foot extension. It was a trickle charge using 120 amps. Yet his responsiveness and the convenience was very nice. He was so enthusiastic after talking with us that he thought he might buy an electric vehicle with it a 240amp charger which his guests could use for an additional charge. I was so grateful later to be able to relax by taking a walk right out the door. The air and sounds of the birds were refreshing. Walking through a fence entrance to the parking lot/lake, I found a trail along wetlands to a newer neighborhood next to & looping back to our older village-like neighborhood. Our West facing windows had a direct view of the Civic Center Spire which I loved.

Absolutely loved it and was so peaceful!! I would love to come back for a longer stay!

Great layout. Our family of 4 and dogs were very comfortable here for 3 weeks when our kitchen was being remodeled. Backyard was great for kids and dogs. Neighborhood has everything you need within walking distance-coffee shops, restaurants etc. Very close to golden gate park for outdoor recreation.

Sunny was super helpful, anticipated our needs. Look forward to stying there on our next visit

Needed a place for a few days… and fell in LOVE with this hidden gem!!! Amazing hosts- Lori& Mike are the best! They are friendly , helpful and inviting- while simultaneously giving privacy and space. Not to mention all of the amazing work they are doing in and for the community- check out their bio!! The accommodations were beautiful, peaceful and intentional. And CLEAN!! Every space well curated. Home felt like a hug- and was filled with treasures! Looking forward to a return trip!! Courtney's house was a beautiful place to stay in San Rafael. It was meticulously designed, and even more tasteful and well-curated than we expected. It was everything we wanted for a tranquil northern California retreat. We've been recommending it to all our friends and relatives who need a place to stay in Marin County.

A wonderful home in a quite par of town..

My family (parents, grandparents, and kids) stayed at this great waterfront home in March 2025. My kids loved the heated pool, hot tub, and kayak! We liked the well appointed kitchen and having lots of space to spread out across the five bedrooms. The only downside is that’s it’s a bit on the well used side and could use touch-ups here and there and one bedroom is a loft so we had to be aware of the noise level downstairs. That didn’t stop us from having a great time and using this as our jumping off point to the city (15-30 min depending on traffic) or North Bay for hiking, oysters, and wine.

The house for our needs perfectly and Noel was helpful when we let him know of a couple small issues. The kitchen was perfect for our family dinners together so we didn’t have to worry about eating out each meal.

I always book for a nice home with indoor pool every year to celebrate my birthday. Nelson's place is perfect for the occasion. the place is very homey with lots of space for the family. my 3 grand daughters and the adults enjoyed the pool and the jaccuzi. we all enjoyed our stay and i should say that Nelson is an excellent host. very professional, attentive to our areas of concern and quick to respond and act upon. highly recommended👍🏼👍🏼

It was very nice. It was next to down town and east access to it. Pretty town and very quiet. Ashley responded very quick and nice. I felt welcomed and recommended to anyone who needs quiet time. Thanks Ashley!!

Melodie's place is officially my favorite spot to stay while I'm working in the Marin area. It's super clean, super well thought out and super easy to navigate. She's left wonderful notes to explain things and guide you as a newcomer to her home. The view makes you feel like you're in a tree house above an expansive metropolis but quiet as quiet can be. Melodie, herself, felt very approachable and warm. 5 Stars and more!

We had a great stay at Stephen's place. It was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. It is in a walkable area with easy access to restaurants and shops. Our kids (ages 6 and 3) loved staying in the trundle bed. And Stephen was proactive in providing helpful instructions and was easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Alameda.

The place was a stand-alone building with windows on 4 sides and 2 glass doors so could really enjoy the views, still being private. Parking right outside the door. others were staying on the property as well, but no noise; very quiet. place had just what I needed, simple and clean--great. communication was great and Hila was responsive and helpful. Great stay, would stay there again -- thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at Mel’s place! Short walk to the beach. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen came equipped with everything you might need to cook. Mel was very responsive to any questions we had. Nice place to stay while visiting the area!

It’s a very private abode even though you share a gated entrance with the owner. Barry couldn’t have been friendlier and had a great spirt about him. We nerded out on landscaping, tiny homes, and rivers. He sold me on giving the American River some of my time this year. I’d absolutely stay here again. The only real issue was the effort to climb down a ladder half awake. I did it in the dark so I wouldn’t lose my cat eyes and wake up too fast. There’s plenty of outside lounging areas and the views are pretty. I had a decent view of the night sky to the east and above. The town may be busy but you’re perched hillside under some great live oaks. The neighborhood was full of quiet families and quirky houses that are truly Marin County in nature. Open space trails are just uphill and the town is just down. It’s very convenient to everything.

The Retreat was a very nice tiny home, perfect for me and my dog. The yard is enclosed with a beautiful garden and areas to sit and enjoy the smells. The neighborhood is quiet and a great place to walk up in the Oakland Hills. The views of the Bay Area are spectacular. I would definitely recommend it.

This was definitely the best airbnb I've found in the area! The space was private and comfortable. Plenty of clean towels, toilet paper, and paper towels (a surprising annoyance of mine with stays other places!). Responsive host. Helpful instructions. Felt right at home in the space. Clean and tidy. Comfy bed, pillows (actually 4 of them, thank you!), and overall temperature of the apartment. Easy check-in and check-out. One thing to note is that it is conveniently located across from bart station, so there is some noise associated with that, but you ARE in the city, so there's that. It didn't really bother me, just something to note if you're a light sleeper (but the bed was so comfy, it didn't phase me much!). I stayed for 12 days, and it was perfect for my needs. I would definitely stay again! Thank you!!
