Nice, quiet place to chill and use as a base to explore the area. I took a walk on the path they created on the property and think it's cool how you can stroll for three minutes or 30. Jim and Jan were very accommodating before I arrived and it was nice to meet them (and TK the Cat!) when I got up in the morning for coffee.

Excellent stay. Super cozy & clean. I wish I had stayed more than 1 night. I am also a host in Norfolk & I am used to having shared bathroom & kitchen with other guests, but it was a lovely change to be a guest this time! :-) Soooo awesome that Raven & Flame provide things to cook! Eggs, bread, jams, teas & coffees. It was such a nice touch! I was in town for a concert but will definitely book again when I come back for hiking! Thanks for an awesome place to rest. I love the artwork in the room! And the beautiful plants all over! This plant girl was happy.

A very homey comfortable stay. Very peaceful neighborhood close to downtown. A real bed and breakfast where you feel like a guest in your family’s home. It was great!

Our stay was great! Nancy is very easy to communicate with. Her home is beautiful, clean and within walking distance to so many places! We will definitely be back!

Nancy was super friendly, communicative and accommodating. I traveled alone and the bedroom was perfect with lighting, fan, bedding, black out shades, plenty of bureau and shelf space and best of all... an exceptional mattress. I woke up rested and my back felt great. Parking is free and I was able to get a spot in front of the house for the entire weekend. It is walkable to the farmer's market, historic downtown and the pedestrian mall. I would stay at Nancy's home for sure the next time I visit Charlottesville 👍.

Flame and Raven are cool people. This is the first time I’ve stayed at an Airbnb that felt like an actual Bnb. The two of them put in a ton of effort and really try to give their guests an experience. When we got there they gave us a tour of the house, showed us where all the breakfast food was and what were could and couldn’t eat. They were well prepared with coffee and tea, and were excited about their local bread and eggs. They are excellent hosts, making you feel welcome without being overbearing. I will point out for anyone who is a light sleeper, the three guest rooms are right next to one another and the walls are thin. You can definitely hear other guests if they aren’t extremely quiet and if they’re on a different schedule than you. This is by no means a fault against Flame and Raven, just something to know. This place is definitely good value, and the hosts are worth meeting.

We would stay here again in a heartbeat next time in Charlottesville. I don’t think the pictures do the place justice and it is in a great location. Thanks again Raven and Flame!!

We had a wonderful stay at Nancy's house! Her home is walking distance to many great restaurants and things to do. The bedroom was large and comfy. The bathroom is shared but we had no problems sharing with the other guests. Nancy did a great job communicating any info we would need before our trip and was very helpful. We will absolutely be back!

From the moment you walk in the door it feels like home. The Barn is such a cozy space, the decor is amazing and the amenities are terrific, they even have 2 types of creamer in the fridge for your coffee. The beds are super comfortable and the linens are so soft. Location can’t be beat, you are so close to all the wineries and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

One of those rare places that has the fortune of a quiet, secluded lot in the city that has quick access to everything in town. Too many nice touches to mention inside and out, resulting in a comfortable and peaceful break from our day to day responsibilities in town. And that falls entirely on our host, who has clearly done this long enough to know when a little note or a bit of something extra in the kitchen can go a long way. Absolutely recommended, we hope to return soon!

We loved our Christmas holiday stay. It was so easy to come and go and not trouble Bianca and her husband, due to the well lighted, private entrance. Like all other reviewers, we were so very pleased with the extra touches she provided: croissants, wine, snacks, breakfast foods of cereal/oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit. There were helpful signs throughout to let us know exactly how the facility should be treated. The furnniture was comfortable and the kitchen just right for our needs. I was appreciative of the nice hot water for shower and great water pressure. So relaxing. Most of all was Bianca herself, always offering to help (she even helped me load luggage into my car at the end of our stay). A very gracious and giving host. We recommend this accommodation for anyone desiring a comfortable suite and extra T.L.C.

We spent one night here and would come back. It was clean, pleasant, reasonably priced, and within a reasonable walk to downtown. Getting in and leaving were very smooth, and the bed was very comfortable. Belmont looks as if it has plenty of interesting restaurants but we were meeting up with people in the historic district so didn't spend time in the neighborhood.

Truly an amazing little Inn. The rooms are so clean and the beds are so comfortable. The owners are lovely, down to earth, kind caring people. They make the stay so enjoyable and we can not wait to return. If you want to get away from the stress of life and enjoy the slower lifestyle of the 1800’s you need to stay here at the Hollymead House Inn.

Super comfortable room and bed. Nice coffee nook with snacks and lemon water. Breakfast was delicious. Owners gave great vineyard and restaurant recommendations .

Beautiful little inn very close to Charlottesville in a lovely quiet neighborhood. The owners are wonderful - very kind and informative with lots of great suggestions for things to do and see. Can’t wait to go back!

I had a great stay at the Fairhaven for one night while visiting UVA. The room was clean and private, and Raven and Flame were both warm and friendly. I appreciate their flexibility with my check-in time. The house is on the other side of town from the college - something to be aware of for guests visiting UVA. There is a bus you can take to bring you to the center of town. I would definitely recommend the Fairhaven and felt it was great value for what I paid.

Anne’s place was absolutely spotless, beautifully designed and perfect for our weekend in Charlottesville! She was so thoughtful and made us feel right at home. We cannot wait for our next visit! If her room is available you should absolutely book it!

We had a wonderful stay at Hollymead House. It was the perfect respite from a day of wedding festivities and going-ons about town. The room was clean and smelled amazing. Breakfast was delicious. Our hosts were kind, so eager to ensure we had everything we needed, and worked to create such a calm and cozy atmosphere for their guests.

We stayed in room #3. It was nicely decorated. The bed was super comfy and we slept great. Fresh flowers were in our room when we got in which was a nice touch. Our room had 2 robes in the closet along with plenty of hangars. Room also had a dresser. No TV is in the bedroom (which we did not miss) but there was a TV in the main house which could be used. The B&B is located within 20 minutes of downtown CVille, Monticello, hiking and our favorite, Snugglebutts Farm. The owners are very nice and knowledgeable about the area. There are a lot of things to look at inside the home which they have a vast knowledge of the history of the items. The breakfast was simple but fantastic. Granola, yogurt, fresh berries, croissants and/or muffins. The coffee was great. They also had a selection of Teas.

We greatly enjoyed meeting Bianca and staying at her lovely home. She is an extremely thoughtful host and all of our needs were taken care of. Will definitely stay there again and if I could give her six stars - I would ! 🥰
