So happy to have stayed in Susanne's home! She was so warm and welcoming at our check-in and was ready to answer questions that I now see were already answered in the posting but I had overlooked hahaha. She was kind nonetheless and was helpful! My husband, 2 year old, parents, mother-in-law, and aunt & uncle stayed the weekend for a nearby wedding. We were so pleased to see that there were toys and books for our son! He absolutely loved the home, especially having ample space outside to play and see the cows too! It was a beautiful and peaceful property! Just a note that I wanted to add for future stays in case it's helpful for anyone planning - the full bathroom upstairs is shared between the single beds (bedroom 3 in the pictures) and the queen (bedroom 4). The double bed (bedroom 2) would have to enter through either of the other two rooms to use that bathroom. And then the downstairs bathroom is the only one downstairs. It worked out perfectly fine for us and our arrangements!

Bill's awesome. My family spent Thanksgiving at his place and I reached out ahead of time to find out if there's a mixer for our whipped cream. I would've brought mine from home, but within 2 minutes, he had ordered one to be delivered prior to our arrival! He responded to my questions within minutes. Adorable kitchen worked well for our TG prep. Dining room is in a cozy window-laden spot that was perfect for doing puzzles. Bedrooms have really comfy beds and linens. Bathroom is small, but has everything you need - plenty of fresh thick towels and the water pressure is impressive. Ping-pong table = fun. Backyard was perfect for our dog when we didn't have the time to spend in Court Square Park, conveniently located right down the road. There are two off-street well-lit parking spaces. And the location is fun - eat, drink and shop; catch a movie; just walk around and stumble upon a street performer. All good. UVA is a short walk down Main Street, cideries and wineries a short drive. Go!

Our stay was great! The house was perfect for our party of five. It was clean, comfy, and the walkability was great. Johnny and Celina were super responsive and friendly and we would definitely stay again!

First ever girls weekend for 4 lifelong friends went GREAT! The location of the home was perfect - so close to many restaurants, wineries & breweries. We also checked out the antique & craft shops! Michele was as quick as humanly possible to respond to & remedy an issue with the front door lock. A wonderful place to stay in Afton (Rt 151)! Thanks!

This home was ideally located in the Belmont neighborhood walkable to great restaurants and shops and close to all the main attractions in Charlottesville. The house had great character with lots of artwork and plants. Very intentional and eclectic in the best of ways. The hosts were responsive especially when we had trouble getting the key out of the lockbox and also going the extra mile to mail us a hat that we accidentally left at the house. I highly recommend this place and would consider staying here again.

Sarah’s place was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway with friends! We enjoyed relaxing in the spacious kitchen and living room each evening and the rooms were all great sizes for our stay. Sarah’s communication was very helpful and timely. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if in the area! Seeing deer walking and squirrels playing in the backyard were added bonuses!

I booked this house for my bridal party and myself to stay at the night before my wedding. The house was super close to my wedding venue at Hardware Hills Vineyard! Our stay was perfect and the house was exactly as described. It was nice to wake up on the morning of wedding and walk outside on the porch and watch the sheep. Loved it!

Hannah was an incredibly thoughtful host - she left bagels and orange juice in the fridge, plenty of towels, and lots of brochures with recommendations of things to do in the area. We’d definitely enjoy renting her place again.

Was a grey place to stay. Easy to get places and Katie provided some great recommendations for things around town.

We really enjoyed our stay. It is a super comfortable home away from home. Carolyn is a great host. Her instructions are clear and easy to follow. She also left us some delicious lemon pound cake! A convenient location for checking out the area. The quiet street makes it perfect for enjoying the screened in porch.

Andrew’s place was exactly what we were looking for. It was quite cozy and homey and we were perfectly comfortable. It’s just close enough to downtown to walk, if you aren’t in a rush.

Great apartment, good location with walkable restaurants and bars. Francois was very helpful and it was a perfect stay for the weekend.

Peter and Paige's place was a great value for a great stay. We brought our dog and found ourselves with more than enough space to enjoy the apartment. The kitchen had all the necessary supplies so we felt right at home. Due to strong winds in the area, the power went out overnight. Peter immediately came to see if we were okay, providing a flashlight and candles while the city repaired the downed lines. Paige also kept in touch to provide updates. Power came back on the next morning and we were good to go! Location is super close to several grocery stores and eateries, and driving distance to several parks and the university. Again, this was a great stay!

One of those rare places that has the fortune of a quiet, secluded lot in the city that has quick access to everything in town. Too many nice touches to mention inside and out, resulting in a comfortable and peaceful break from our day to day responsibilities in town. And that falls entirely on our host, who has clearly done this long enough to know when a little note or a bit of something extra in the kitchen can go a long way. Absolutely recommended, we hope to return soon!

We had a lovely stay at Jodi’s place! The apartment was spotless, and the furnishings were very comfortable and plentiful. We visited over Christmas. She decorated and even provided a Christmas tree. Even had everything I needed to prepare meals. We felt right at home and enjoyed every moment. Very close to grocery store, quiet neighborhood. You can tell immediately this host cares about the guest experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfy, spacious and very clean place to stay!

This was our second stay in this condo and we love the location and spaciousness. We have family nearby and easily met up on the mall for numerous outings. One small suggestion: Housekeeping may need to communicate better with management. We arrived to a sink that was clogged. But it was fixed very quickly, so was not an issue.

The Townie was a fantastic spot for a quick weekend getaway to Charlottesville! Just off the Downtown Mall was great for running back and forth for various kid/dog/shopping bag reasons. The home was very well appointed. Cozy, thoughtful, and with personality. We didn't stay long enough to cook in (we wanted to explore the food offerings around) but the kitchen seemed stocked nicely. Melissa was very upfront in the listing about noise at night. I did take advantage of the provided ear plugs on night two, which really helped. That is the one downside of a lively location - but that's urban life!

This was a great, affordable place for my family to stay for our weekend in Charlottesville. Sarah was very communicative and allowed us early check in and late checkout to make the most of our stay. The condos are tucked away in a quiet part of the city. perfect for our short stay
