My husband and I were looking to take our dog hiking for the first time. We were looking for a low fuss place because we weren't sure how she would adjust to traveling for the first time. Tarik's place was perfect for us. Tarik and Gabriella are excellent hosts. We arrived late the first evening and they had a fire burning in the stove for us and even helped us get it started the next day. They were very flexible and non-judgemental. The farm house was a cute mix of vintage and hippie with great amenities (two bed, two bath, washer/dryer, full kitchen, fenced side yard, etc). It's a new AirBnB and Tarik and Gabriella genuinely cared about our stay and improving the stay for future guests. The location is great (close to Crozet, Charlottesville, Shenandoah NP) while still being very remote and peaceful. I highly recommend staying at the farmhouse if you're looking for something more laid back and non-traditional.

She makes incredibly delicious top-knotch coffee and was like a friend who you go to see and wish you could stay a few nights longer! She gave us great hiking ideas and told us of a delicious breakfast spot dive. Nathan, Tyson and I hope to be back again.

What an amazing place, from the beautiful scenery, to the proximity of stores and vineyards it was absolutely perfect. The home is welcoming and comfortable, so clean and spacious, and has everything you may need for a stay.

a unique property and experience. the pond view offered the level of privacy and relaxation needed for a valentine's day weekend. wouldn't mind staying again. I would also be interested in venturing toward a different type of themed stay offered. the add on of a couples massage was great too.

The house was beautiful and spacious for our group of 9. A lot of natural light and space for us to get cozy all together. The space was clean and well stocked with things that we would need for the weekend. The hosts were amazing, they left us with a binder with information about the property and a list of local shops we could check out. We checked out one of their recommendations, The Local, the food was amazing. They also left a personalized note which was very much appreciated. Our only concern was that property itself is very dark at night and at the end of a dark road that wasn’t paved very well. Additionally, all the windows in the house were unlocked including most of the bedroom windows which we had to lock manually. Outside of that, however, we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely rebook. Thank you Judy for making our weekend so memorable :)

This was my first Air BnB experience. I was most pleased with the experience. The home was clean, well stocked and imminently comfortable. Great location, on a quiet residential street with easy access to all of the events we had planned. Sara was a delight, easy to work with, generous and helpful.

We had a great time and would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a Charlottesville weekend. The Host was super accommodating and helpful, and took the time to meet us at check in and explain the space as well as provide information regarding things to do in the surrounding areas. She also made herself available for any other inquiries that we had both in the time leading up to the reservation and while we were there. The property itself has an excellent location close to many of the attractions in UVA and the surrounding areas. Would definitely stay here again the future.

This was the second stay at Vickie's for me. The location stands out for its peace. natural beauty and charming gardens. Vickie really is a terrific host. She is warm, positive, flexible, and eager to ensure your stay is a good one. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. I'd recommend morning coffee in one of the big, comfortable chairs near the bird feeder!

This place was the perfect getaway!

Second stay here and couldn’t love it more!! After we checked out of Ann’s place, we went to another AirBnb (as we had a bunch of family coming into town and needed a bigger place)….it doesn’t even compare!! Ann’s place is always so clean and lovely and this new place is a reminder of how fortunate we are to have found our lovely, CLEAN, escape in the beautiful VA country! Will be back around graduation time! I miss it already!!

The instructions on finding the place were great! The property itself is beautiful even though it was getting some work done on it. The walkway, the views, and the cats made this place very much worth the visit. The skylight to view the stars at night was amazing, and the jet tub is very relaxing after a long day of hiking in the nearby national park. You might have to drive 15 minutes or a little more for restaurant options, but they are well worth it! We did not stay during any of the events that are listed on the website, but I'd consider coming back during those times as some looked super interesting!

I had an amazing stay here! I stumbled upon not only a retreat but a beautiful community. If you’re looking to get away from the world but not be completely alone, this is the place for you. A place where if you want to be found you will be but if you want to get away you can. I grew up in a rural area so navigating the roads, distance to Walmart, (a short 15 mins) and a bug flying in here or there didn’t bother me. The Airbnb is luxurious, a cute little nook to read in the window, blinds to cover the tv if it’s too much, not one but two balconies! The Sauna powered by a wood stove was a very grounding experience, along with their Lunar Sauna for soaking up moonlight. This place is a place that will take care of you, as long as you take care of it. A true community! So I wouldn’t come here expecting the world to revolve around you, if you aren’t going to put in a little effort yourself. And at the end of the day, it felt rewarding in a way I never imagined. Definitely coming back!

We enjoyed our late fall stay at the cabin. It's fairly close to Shenandoah (took about an hour to get to some of the trails in the southern end of the park), and close to several good wineries as well. Make sure you have the name of your cabin and directions accessible if you're arriving in the dark! Gas fireplace and space heaters kept the place warm on cold nights. The kitchen is fairly decent, but plan to bring everything you need in terms of essentials (oil, etc) and any cookware beyond the very basics--as you'd expect for any AirBnb. Nice little place for a couple's getaway for a weekend.

Leora's place is one of about 8 rustic cottages around a small lake adjacent to what appears to be a dairy/cattle farm. (One of the cows found a way through the fencing and wandered peacefully around the cabins 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there! There is a beautiful 2.0 mile loop walking trail around the property, as well as free use of canoes and mountain bikes. It is very beautiful, peaceful, and pet-friendly! There are a number of nice hiking trails within a short drive. We visited in March when it got quite cold at night and in the early morning. There is a good natural gas heater in the main room, and a portable plug-in heater in the bedroom (both worked fine, esp. after I figured out the controls on the latter unit). The cabins are said to have window AC units when needed, but they were not in evidence when we were there, nor were they needed. Leora was very welcoming and responsive & we highly recommend her place!

The place was immaculate in terms of being clean. It was very quiet (the cabins are roughly 30 yards apart). Probably the quickest responding host I've ever had. There wasn't much to do due it being winter and their being a storm but walking the loops was beautiful. We came here to be off the grid, peaceful weekend away and that's what we got. We especially enjoyed the location In relation to activities, nothing Is more than a 30 minute drive. The only negative thing I could say is the beds being a little uncomfy, but it's a cabin in the woods not the Marriott so it's understandable. FOR FUTURE GUESTS: **I'd recommend arriving before sunset just because the roads are windy and there isn't a bit of light on the roads themselves**

Cozy, clean, quiet in a lovely wooded setting. Exactly what we needed for a great long weekend.

Perfect cozy stay! Cottage was very cute with a view of the creek below. Kitchen was stocked with enough utensils/dishes to make some bread, and there were puzzles, games, books, and magazines. The fireplace was the best part of the cottage, and it really made it feel like the perfect getaway. Check in and check out instructions were very clear and simple, and it was peaceful and quiet.

We loved the location, Crozet is fantastic town, try the pizza place. We headed over to Shenandoah and took an eight mile hike. There are 40+ vineyards in the area. The cabin is small and basic, clean and cozy, grounds are nice.

We had a wonderful stay! The property is spacious, with lots to explore. It is quiet, private, and feels like a real getaway. The staff were attentive, generous and very communicative. We explored the property with our two dogs, who also had a great time. The cottage had plenty of space, was clean, had great hot water, comfy beds, solid heating, and everything else we could have wanted. We look forward to coming back!

Really valuable spot… Amazing views, very peaceful setting, and very responsive host. Highly recommend and we do plan to return!!
