Jackie was a great host and very communicative! Ended up getting snowed in and they let us stay longer and even came and shoveled the drive way for us! Only 30 minutes from Boone, yet secluded. Would highly recommend taking a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway!

The house is amazing. Extremely well equipped. Amazing decks, docks etc. Great gas grill. Amazing lower level with bar and game room. All three bathrooms and showers are really nice, including outdoor shower. 😀 All of the wall hangings and niknacs are very nice and make it feel like a real home and not just a rental. I could go on and on but I only have so much space. Thanks for sharing your fabulous home. It made our sons wedding week very special!

Overall this was an amazing property to stay at. Shari was able to accommodate us for a last minute check in, I’m talking within hours. She was even able to get us a boat for our stay even with it being Fathers Day weekend. The house was very clean with clear and easy instructions for check in/check out procedures. I would definitely stay again in the future! Our only issue wasn’t about the property or host, rather the next door neighbors. They kept their 2 small dogs outside all day and through the evening. They were barking non stop and it was difficult to fall asleep or enjoy a peaceful time outside. It was noted that quiet time was after 10pm and the dogs were barking well past that. We had to file a noise complaint due to the excessive barking and we honestly felt bad for the dogs seeing that they were caged up outside. We are dog lovers as we have one of our own but the neighbors could have been a little more respectful.

We spent a few days celebrating my husband’s fortieth birthday and this was the perfect location. Close to downtown Blowing Rock and our first time in Lenoir. Beautiful views, peaceful and quiet, great spaces for our needs. We will definitely consider visiting again.

Beautiful home and surroundings. It is quiet and peaceful with woods and water. The reservoir was beautiful, the water was warm. Great for kayaking. The location was private but close to Walmart,Aldi and other stores.

Cindy was a great host and the property was amazing! My multi-generational family and I had a wonderful time and the property was decorated for Christmas with a real tree. While we did have a small issue one day, Cindy handled it right away. Thank you Cindy for being a great host!

We had a multi-generational multi-family vacation week. The house met the needs of all the guests. Those with mobility issues stayed on the main floor and enjoyed the deck. The kids (and kids at heart) ruled the basement space. The hot tub was fun and being able to fish from the dock was great.

Omega & Jeff were very kind & thoughtful. So were the towns folks. I forgot a medication & my husband needed first aid when he fell. Two women were standing nearby. They got what we needed from Elk Pharmacy. The pharmacist was great. The whole town had that "small town feeling." I would love to go back to the Seaford's home again sometime.

We had such a great experience at Preston’s house. Lit was easy to find, very clean, comfy beds, and felt right at home. They had everything there you could ever need and/or forgot to bring with you. We felt super safe there and would 100% recommend for all ages!!! Great find!!!

We had a lovely stay! We loved kayaking, swimming in the warm lake, and taking in the 270 degree lake views on the beautiful shaded dock. Frankie and Gordon were available, when needed, to answer any questions and give recommendations for the area. They live on the other side of the property (in a separate building) so it feels as if you have the place to yourself. Thank you for sharing your beautiful location with us.

Un lugar muy agradable para ir en familia, tiene un río al lado de la casa que le da un toque de paz, hay poca señal de celular pero eso hace que conecten mejor las personas que van a pasar un rato alejádos de los celulares y de la ciudad, les recomiendo ir a esta hermosa cabaña!

Carla was a very thoughtful host. There were snacks, bottled water, coffee and teas with honey, even half and half for the coffee. She provided firewood and skewers for roasting marshmallows. She helped us find the best restaurants with great local recommendations. We even met her dog when we first got there so that everyone was on good terms (no barking, etc.) It's was very easy to have a relaxing weekend at her place.

We absolutely loved Eddie’s space! Our dog fully enjoyed her stay as well! We appreciate the owners Eddie and Larry allowing the space to be dog friendly. It was beautifully kept and designed . Everything looked brand new and recently updated. The space was extremely clean and the location was perfect for visiting our son who attends Lenoir Rhyne. The building itself had so much character . We can’t wait to come back next month! The hosts were so warm and friendly . Thanks again !

Our intergenerational family had a great time. It took a bit of time to adjust to the quirks of the home, like most places we have been, but by day 3 we felt at home. Lots of time spent on the lake with the water toys which was great. We highly recommend the rental for those. It is a beautiful area and we liked that the home was an older log house that fit in with the environment. I will note that the room with two beds had twin beds, not double—two adults could not have slept in one bed. We still had enough beds for us with the extra cot. It is a beautiful setting with a great deck for viewing the lake.

Joyce was an amazing host and very attentive to details that made our trip fantastic. The house was very spacious, comfortable and exceeded my expectations.

The house was lovely and suited our large family. I was a bit disappointed with the extra taxes and fees. I would have like more flexibility with times checking in and out.

This is our second time at this cabin and it is one of favorite places. Susan even put up a Christmas tree which was wonderful. Will be back!

We were immediately impressed with this house. Actually even better than shown in the photos. SO clean and well equipped. Plenty of books, games, puzzles and DVDs available. The deck was fabulous. Our only recommendation was add a couple more rockers for the covered area of the deck. We had one rainy day during our stay and sitting on the deck to enjoy it was fantastic! We also made good use of the gas fire table. Susan’s response time when we reached out was close to immediate and helpful. Overall, we had a fabulous week and having such a comfortable place to stay was a huge part of it! Thank you!

A lovely light filled home in a gated community. Very private and peaceful. We saw deer, turkeys and ducks. Since it is in the woods expect the usual bugs etc. Enjoyed coffee on the porch looking at the incredible view. The clubhouse and pool is a 5 minute walk. The location is a good 30 minutes from Boone. The roads are curvy and winding and you often need to stop for deer. We have family and friends in Boone so we were driving a lot. George was very nice and accommodating. He was in the owner’s apartment a few times to work on the property and I barely knew he was there. The WiFi and phone service was spotty. If I didn’t need to be in Boone so much, I would absolutely stay there again.

The house was lovely. The view was lovely. The host went above and beyond with provisions. It felt like home. The home was very roomy and comfortable. My husband loved cycling the mountainous terrain on his road bike. We hiked around the neighborhood and beyond to the Blue Ridge Parkway. There were so many things to do and see. A great time was had by all. The ping pong table and chess board were right up our youngest's alley. We had tournaments in our "down" time. Thank you for such a comfortable fun home.
