The A frame was great. We loved the ambience while staying and the breakfast was amazing. The location is very difficult to locate if arriving after dark. I would highly recommend using “Garden View Restaurant” as your Google maps location. This will put you right across the train tracks from the restaurant. You then head down the train tracks and the A Frame is on the right. The just offered a Tuktuk ride for a fair price down and back to town. After getting dropped off the hosts Tuktuk had a malfunction and we had to try to pick me back to the location. We waited 30 minutes trying to do that with no luck. We negotiated with several drivers and non agreed to go down the road at all. One would go but for 10X the price of the pick me. Best to drive down yourself and park near the train station.

We only had 3 nights in the Tea Cabin but could easily have stayed for longer. We have visited many Airbnbs but this one stands out from all the rest due to its stunning location and beautiful views over the tea plantations and mountains. To wake up to those views is something we’ll never forget. We were very well looked after and all requests are dealt with via a group chat which is set up before arrival. Top tip for anyone visiting SL for the first time you must buy an e-SIM at the airport. We used Dialog and it only cost £4 for 20GB and they set your phone up for you. We were collected from Ella railway station even though the train was running late and a free tuk-tuk was available throughout. The staff were incredibly helpful, polite, responsive and respectful. One standout day for us walking the railway tracks behind the cabin all the way to the Nine Arches Bridge which must be done! We had two very enjoyable evenings down in Ella each time using the free tuk. Highly recommended!

Anjelo was a fantastic host and super responsive throughout and I can't thank the caretaker for the house, Keerthi, enough for taking care of my family when we stayed for a couple of nights. Keerthi helped arrange meals, took us around in his tuktuk to tourist sites, restaurants, the money exchange and even nearby shops and was always reachable within minutes and made our whole experience much more enjoyable. Highly recommend Anjelo's house !

We really liked our time at this place. The landlord tried everything to make it as much Perfect as possible for us. He offered us connections to local guides, provided a delicious local breakfast and took us with him in his car. We fully recommend this Air BnB!

Lasithas brother Damit and the rest of the crew were the most kind and helpful people! We found Ella town too busy and noisy for our taste but thanks to the incredible staff we got a memorable experience anyway!

I had a pleasant stay at this well-maintained property. The space was clean, comfortable, and well taken care of, making for a relaxing experience. The host was responsive, and the overall ambiance was great. However, I believe bath accessories could be improved to enhance the experience further. With a few upgrades or adjustments, this place could be perfect. Would still recommend it for a comfortable stay!

It was a beautiful place and the staff was absolutely wonderful. The wifi was not working but I guess that's common on in the hills and we ended up not missing it much since the property in one of the best ones in Sri Lanka.

We loved our stay at Solitary Resort. It is situated on a hill in the „jungle“ close to Ella city center. The room and bathroom was perfectly clean. We got amazing Sri lankan breakfast every morning, that we enjoyed on our terasse with the most beautiful view. Dileepa was very lovely and provided us with many tips surrounding the area, which helped us a lot to make the most out of our time in Ella. 100% recommend this place!

Wunderschönes Cabin mit toller Aussicht. Wir haben uns hier direkt zu Hause gefühlt. Wir haben mit dem gemieteten Motorrad, welches wir hier in der Unterkunft mieten konnten die atemberaubende Gegend erkundet. Wir können diese Unterkunft allen Empfehlen, die auf Ruhe und Natur wert legen und etwas abseits der üblichen Touri-Routen unterkommen wollen. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben!
