It was a pleasure staying at Amy’s place. I especially appreciated her letting me bring my trailer with permission. Also the personal use of a full sized fridge was great for prepping and freezing a bunch of food for my long journey.

Chism’s place was a fantastic base camp for us on our short trip to Anchorage! It was only a few minutes from downtown but had a wonderful peacefulness to it that is exactly what 2 Chicagoans needed to slow down. Everything is exactly as shown or described and the bonus was the shower water pressure! 5/5, great place to stay!

We very lucky to met Mary and stayed her house. She prepared a local delicious dinner and lovely breakfast for our 8 persons group. We all enjoyed that special home make dinner and breakfast with fresh garden seasonal vegetables from Mary. We all appreciated her hard working and friendly assistance during we stayed at her home. We want to say, thank you, Mary and your families. Best wishes to you and your family. If we have a chance in the future, we will stay your house and recommend other travelers consider to select this house as your home to enjoy farm style experiences. Thanks again, Mary!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sonja’s place! We were so thrilled with our extended stay. The location cannot be beat, and the unit is very spacious and comfortable with everything you need to feel right at home. We especially liked the well stocked kitchen and blackout curtains for a good nights sleep even in the summer. We highly recommend staying here!

John’s place was great and conveniently located for our Anchorage vacation. It was nice to have breakfast items upon arrival so we could relax and not have to run to the grocery store right away. We look forward to staying here again on our future trips!

We had a wonderful stay and felt completely at home. This charming little place has everything you could need. The hosts replied quickly to any questions we had. I would definitely stay there again. It came with all the pots, pans, and utensils for cooking, plus a great big bathtub for relaxing and a washer and dryer for convenience.

Todd's place was a great find! Spacious, comfortable, and conveniently located- this was a perfect stop in Anchorage. Todd was a gracious, helpful host, and Tux the cat made me feel right at home!

Great place to stay in Anchorage. Quiet neighborhood. Sarah was responsive and available to answer any questions. Clean peaceful space. We enjoyed our stay!!! We will look to stay again the next time we are in Anchorage.

Allot of space, big kitchen and was well stocked with everything you need for a long stay. I loved the super comfortable seats in the living room and it was great to have the big outdoor space/deck. Just remember it’s a family home so you will hear the daily activities upstairs. A side benefit is that it’s right off the bike trail so it’s an easy and beautiful walk to some really good local restaurants and a frozen yogurt place.

We had a great time! This location is a perfect escape from the city, while still not being too far away to enjoy the scenery, downtown parks, shops, etc. The hot tub was such a nice touch and was very relaxing! We enjoyed every second of our stay and would definitely book again if we find ourselves back in Anchorage one day.

What a little slice of peace and quiet! Even though the space was the lower half of home in a neighborhood, we felt like we were secluded away from everything. The views were incredible and we were able to eagle watch right out our front door. There was also a walking path to a pond beyond the trees. We were even treated to the aurora our first night. This home also had heated floors in the bedrooms and bathroom and that was amazing! The beds were very comfortable too! We loved everything about it. The hosts were responsive and helpful with all questions. We would definitely stay again!

Literally their craftsmanship and attention to every single detail of the guest experience blew us away, especially for the price. Honestly was probably better than any place I’ve ever stayed at in the valley and I do it often for work. I came up to the valley this time with the intention to give my wife a good experience so she would want to move up. This place was a wonderful oasis and a perfect setting for us to have as a homebase. And yes, we are moving up! I would totally recommend them to anyone. Totally blew us away! Thank you, Vera!

This is the second time we’ve stayed and it was just as amazing as the first! We love the addition of the kitchen. Dawn has thought of everything- comfy beds, lots of pillows, linens, blankets, and towels. The kitchen is fully stocked and the bathroom has everything you need. It’s so quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend Dawn’s place!

Bob and Donna were amazing hosts. The most welcoming hosts we have ever seen. Bob went out of his way to help us to show Flat Top at midnight. Both helped us to understand things around Alaska for first time visitors. Best recommendations for places and restaurants as per your food choices. Best couple and host ever met. Thank You Both. This location was perfect for our girls book weekend . Everything was so nice and clean . The place looked exactly how it was pictured! Great communcation but still had our space! We’ll be coming again ❤️

We were first time in Alaska and were travelling with our toddler. We needed private space, full kitchen, close by grocery stores and easy access to downtown by a car. Lauren’s place was perfect for all those requirements. The unit is a basement unit with separate entrance and dedicated parking. Lots of grocery stores near by including walmart. The downtown was just 10-12 min away so we could easily go there for museums in the days and nice/famous restaurants in the evening. Host is very responsive and happy to help if you have questions.

Great place to call home base while in town for shopping! Quiet and awesome location for shopping! Hot tub was a super fun and relaxing addition! Absolutely recommend.

My two young sons and I stayed, and found the unit spacious, immaculate, nicely appointed. Pay careful attention to the instructions. I didn't and struggled a bit to find the entrance, perhaps due to the eight-hour flight and four-hour time zone difference. Once we did, getting in was a cinch. Their recommendations for local establishments was spot on.

I was in Anchorage for a funeral and my accommodations fell through, last minute. Because I had stayed at Julie and Doug’s twice before, I reached out and they were quick to respond and had it available for me within the hour. It was a great choice because I already knew the place was allergy free and safe. Plus, it is very comfortable and the location is great when staying in Anchorage.

We had a comfortable stay at Snob Hollow. My co worker and I each had our own bedroom and full bathroom which made getting ready quick and easy before our day of meetings. Holly was proactive in her communication. Check in and out went smoothly. The bungalow was clean with modern decor. We will definitely stay again!

This was our second stay at Laura’s place and it was just as nice as I remembered. Our first stay was in the summer and it was hot for Alaska but she provided an AC unit that made it a comfortable escape from the heat. This time we stayed during a chilly, windy winter weekend and it was just as comfortable but with cozy warmth! Everything was very clean with plenty of extras. The washer/dryer is a game changer for our away from home adventures. I also enjoy the view from the bedroom window - we were able to wake up to a cow moose and her calf in the backyard. Laura is quick to respond, friendly and very accommodating. We are looking forward to our future stays this summer. Thank you Laura!

My dog and I stayed long term twice at Brian and Kathleen's place. First round was 6 weeks and second round was nearly 5 months. Thoroughly enjoyed living in hillside, outside of the busier city part of Anchorage, great place to walk my dog and see moose. Brian and Kathleen were responsive to every need and were very accommodating. Puma and I were comfortable, had good privacy and enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommend Brian and Kathleen's Alaskan abode.
