Fallen Timber Ranch was beautiful to be at even during the winter. You are perfectly between Buena Vista and Salida so if you want to go explore a town or eat out you can, you can enjoy winter activities (skiing…) or you can enjoy their property and Colorado mountains. So if you are looking for a combination of adventures (skiing, hiking, rafting…), small town (local food, breweries…), and relaxation (fire pits, watching wildlife, cooking…) this is the place to stay. Plus the stars at night are phenomenal!

This was the perfect little escape from the usual day to day. The house was cozy, the area was beautiful and Eric/Hope are just the best!! The lack of tv and wifi was just as nice a the walks by the river. We got to see and join in the milking process and collecting eggs. We want to make this a reoccurring vaca location.

We loved staying here and getting to meet the horses and very friendly cats! The apartment is cozy and clean and we appreciated the bathrobes and breakfast items and country views. Steph kindly helped us meet her beautiful mustangs and told us about the farm, and the cats were incredibly cuddly. A lovely experience!

When we saw the pictures we said it was perfect but once you get there it’s even better. Everything about this place is amazing. The house was spotless clean with everything you need and might need. They thought about everything here. This place really makes you feel at home. John and Jennifer (momma as we call her now) were very helpful and always making sure we had everything we needed. Words cannot describe this place. You really have to get out there and check it out for yourself self. We will be going back pretty soon!

My husband is suffering from stage four kidney disease and we needed a break from the hospital and chaos from the city. He absolutely loved the shouse and can’t wait to come back. The views were so relaxing and she worked with us to make our stay the best night we have had in a long time. We loved the critters and the inside of the shouse is so cute and cozy. Brooke & Jason McKee Cabot, Arkansas February 12-15 We had such a peaceful time—a perfect place to relax, just the right distance from home. We were amazed by the beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The scenery was gorgeous, and watching the cows graze was a bonus. The home was clean and beautiful, and the hot tub was fantastic. Everything was very well maintained. Lost Creek Grill has amazing food!

This is a great place for a family to stay for a short visit or a long one. It has all the gear to cook your own meals in the kitchen, and there's plenty of room to lounge about on a down day to not feel cramped. The playhouse is a nice added bonus for younger children to play in.

I have stayed at my fair share of Air BNB locations, and this has to be my favorite so far! House was well stocked and there were clear instructions on spaces that were for guests. It was very peaceful at the house and we had a great time watching it snow while utilizing the fireplace. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when I come back to Kansas!!

The cottage was clean, comfortable & quiet. Just the way my husband & I prefer. We would stay again.

My experience here was nothing short of amazing flew in to a very new place to me and she mad me feel like I was home and was just the nicest person who could possible deal with in the air bnb game highly recommend to anyone looking for something private !!

John and Tracy were great hosts. I do recommend reaching out to them as soon as you arrive. They will tell you all the great things about their land and show you around. We visited in the midst of calving season and saw many calves running around. The home is/was perfect for us and we could not have gotten any luckier. We hope to visit again.

Exceptionally clean! Pleasantly surprised how comfortable the RV was. Plenty of space for my husband and I with 3 kids 5 and under. Hosts were incredibly friendly and quick response time with any questions. I hope I get the opportunity to stay again!

We felt at home in the rustic old farmhouse. Being on the farm was beautiful and peaceful. Wevenjoyed going for walks on the farm. I got up early and sat outside with my coffee one morning. Through the e-bird app, I discovered there were 22 different birds chirping and singing. Very cool. We brought out kayaks and were able to take them to Eldorado Lake. I had a great visit with Craig who was friendly and informative about the ranch. My husband and I came home well rested. We hope to return.

A very private and quaint stay!

What a beautiful place to get away and be still. We enjoyed turkeys and deer during our stay. We cooked meals in and just enjoyed the serenity of the space .....highly recommend!!

Pastoral setting and a house with everything you will need. The beds were super comfortable and we slept well! Well supplied kitchen, roomy, comfortable seating, and beautiful views. Kristy and her husband went above and beyond to make our experience a great one. I’d recommend if you are in the area you stay here.

will most definitely return. It was like stepping into my grandparents home. peaceful, relaxing, felt right at home, literally, with all the cattle.
