We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful—spacious, clean, and instantly felt like home. It’s in a fantastic location, just a short walk to the water with a perfect jetty. We rented a boat and had so much fun exploring the area. Communication with Madi was excellent—she was super helpful and even arranged for wood to be delivered for us. The neighbours were lovely too, which just added to the warm and welcoming vibe. Highly recommend this place and we’ll definitely be back!

We just returned from a (too brief!) stay at Hans' place and are already planning our next visit. The house is modern, immaculate and comfortable, but the location is absolutely incredible. The kids would have happily spent our entire visit down at the beach, and we enjoyed starting and ending our days (with coffee or wine in hand) walking down the path to the shore and sitting on a bench taking in the view while they splashed about. On our next visit we will plan fewer excursions and build in more down time to spend at the house just enjoying the property and the amazing location.

What an absolutely amazing place, so peaceful and really beautiful surroundings, close to activities in Swellendam but away from the crowds. The perfect getaway with family. Lena was an absolute star.

It's a great location, very near the Wandelpad walk along the river and a few minutes' walk to the town centre. Our host Allison was quick to respond and most helpful. Highly recommended!

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

This is a very large, comfortable, clean, beautiful apartment with great views of the ocean. It is a short five minute walk to the Lighthouse and to the convenience, store and restaurants in town. Would loved the peacefulness of this town and its non-touristy appeal even though you are right there where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. Hillary was a great host, staying late for our evening arrival. We highly recommend this is a place to stay.

Philip was proactive on check in details, met us on arrival, showed us around and made us feel right at home in his wonderful very spacious apartment. The facilities, surrounding and overall space in the apartment is five star + The decor was modern, beautifully appointed and ultra smart! With and a lovely five minute walk to the beach and beach restaurants.

My husband, seven year old son, and I stayed on Melanie’s farm and loved it. The accommodation was exactly as shown in the photos and in the description. Melanie gave excellent, detailed instructions and left nothing to chance. We will definitely be back to visit again.

Vidis place ticket all the boxes. Elvida and Dawie were lovely hosts. The only rental unit on the property, the unit is spacious, well equiped, wi fi excellent, gated parking, quite safe area, away from the bussy road and beach crowds, dark bedroom for a good nights rest, 10 min walk to main beach and small mall with food and liquor store etc. We enjoyed our 3 night stay and when next in Struisbaai this will be our first choice to book.

We had the most unforgettable stay in Gansbaai, and Ethan was very accommodating. The 5-bedroom house was absolutely stunning — spacious, beautifully designed, and tastefully decorated with every detail thoughtfully considered. We have booked Bruce's wonderful Whale Huys for our extended family holidays... we were a small group of nine people. I used to live in Gansbaai and De Kelders for a decade in 20 years ago, and my parents and my brother's family had already visited the region also. What a pleasure to discover Bruce's amazing house and to be able to enjoy Walker Bay and the coastline of De Kelders from this house. René, the property manager, welcomed us to the house and showed us the facilities. The house was absolutely perfect for our family and our stay... we just wish we had more time. The house is stunning and offers incredible views over the Ocean and Walker Bay... looking westward, the sunsets are just stunning. The house had every amenity one could need or dream of. The rooms and spaces were spacious, comfortable and perfect, the terraces were amazing, the bar room overlooking the pool was ideal, etc. Just the perfect home away from home. I highly recommend this house when visiting the region!

The house at De Kelders is exquisite. The open view is 180 deg of sea view right above the rocks and the beautiful sea. Saw many seals. The house is beautifully appointed with stunning finishes. The house offers all the necessary amenities It’s peaceful and open plan. Both Hermanus and Stanford is close for restaurants and there are many accessible beaches. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing holiday
