This is an amazingly well-preserved 1970s apartment. No, it isn't an apartment decorated with modern stuff in the style of the 70s...it was actually outfitted in the 70s and everything has been cared for impeccably. We couldn't believe the stuff lasted all these years and was in such good condition. The apartment is well-provisioned, even though it is a small space, our family of 2 adults and 2 kids and a dog had no trouble enjoying the space. We appreciated Jennifer's tips and instructions as well as her friendliness and responsiveness. The access to Bear Valley Ski Resort is perfect. The pricing is lower than anything else we found in the area. Jennifer does everything she can to keep the price affordable.

Great place to stay for a family ski weekend! The pictures are a bit confusing- thought the bunk beds are in a separate room, but they’re actually in a hallway alcove which turned out to be great for kids wanting to be close to parents. Living room seating is a bit sparse for a place that sleeps 8, but otherwise it was great! We would definitely love to stay again!

We were grateful to find this little gem on our visit to Pine Grove to reunite with family. Everything as described, loved the deck where we enjoyed our morning coffee, then the hot tub in the evening. Comfortable beds, a very complete kitchen, plenty of dvds to choose from. A lovely bottle of wine waiting for us after a long day of travel as well as a sampling of delicious ice cream to get us next door to try out the rest of our favorite flavors. Walking distance to Graze which turned into our favorite breakfast place. Roadhouse coffee another nice place. Local grocery had great variety if you didn’t want to make a trip to Jackson. We fell in love with Pine Grove and its surrounding area. Plenty of trails to hike, close to wineries, we even took a day trip to Calaveras to see the giant sequoias. Our family reunion turned into a memorable vacation. Thanks Stew for sharing your cozy chalet!

This airbnb was comfortable and cute. Our dogs loved it too. Location was great since it’s a 1 minute walk to the little downtown area. Beds are comfortable and place was cozy. It didn’t feel like a basement apartment since there was plenty of light. The only downsides: the kitchenette had almost no counter space for the simple cooking that can be done, and the flushing of the upstairs toilet was extremely loud and should be fixed.

Cute little studio situated above a garage with a separate entrance from the main house. It is a great value, and well situated in Twain Harte. It’s not the most toddler friendly place due to the refrigerator and microwave being at toddler height, but we should have noticed that in the pictures. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone (aside from someone with a curious 1.5-2.5 year old).

Had an excellent stay! The house was fully equipped. We got there tired from visiting big trees, made a wonderful dinner and got to relax and have family time. It was perfect. Definitely would stay again.

Great place to stay. It was quiet and lots of wild life right outside your window. Also great star gazing at night and awesome view from the back deck. Water was always hot and abundant.

Very peaceful area. The place was clean and nicely decorated. We were a bit disappointed that the hot tub was no longer available and that it wasn’t communicated to us that it would no longer be available. Would absolutely stay here again though.

We had an amazing stay at this Charissa's property in Murphy, CA, over the long weekend! The property was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, making it the perfect home base for the getaway. The hosts were welcoming and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was excellent—close to Bear Valley Adventure Park and downtown Murphys, where the kids had a blast, and they got to experience snow for the first time! The surroundings were peaceful, and we enjoyed the beautiful mountain views. Highly recommend this place for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway. We’d definitely love to return!

We had a fantastic time at Fred and Patricia’s home. It was perfect for our group of six. Centrally located, comfortable, and with a very usable kitchen to prepare meals. Already talking about a follow-up trip!

We were at Elaine's place from Thanksgiving Day until Sunday check out. We used to spend lots of time in Murphy's with family and this was a perfect location to easily walk to everything downtown, even with 3 children under the age of 6. The house was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The beds were incredibly comfortable. It was the best stocked kitchen/home we have ever had in an AirBnB... and we have stayed in a lot. The bathrooms also had any item you might need. On Saturday, we had a plumbing problem causing the pipes to back up. The most amazing part of our stay, was that without any urging from us, Elaine drove all the way from the Bay Area where she was with family, to address the problem. She managed to find 2 plumbers on the holiday weekend who came ASAP and cleared out the pipes at the street. Elaine was out there with them in the cold and dark, investigating the cause. Then Elaine cleaned up the one small affected area in the bathroom herself. Thank you!!

Perfect home for our family visit to Sonora. Very nicely kept home with everything we needed! We were so grateful for a kitchen stocked with essentials too.

Lovely condo in Bear Valley, one of the nicer ones we’ve stayed at and we’ve been coming here for 20-plus years! Super convenient and close to the XC ski area. We had a blast and will definitely rent Kerry’s place again! She is a perfect host and very responsive/proactive.

Kristin’s place was just what our family of 3 needed for a quick trip to the snow. The extra sleds she provided were a nice little addition and being able to walk to snow mobile rentals, tubing and sledding and Bear Valley Lodge restaurants made it a great location for multiple activities.

Me and my friends had a great experience staying here, it was so easy to check in and get situated. The suite was so spacious and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The hosts were very responsive, and made this weekend getaway so pleasant.

Chuck was extremely responsive and helpful. The location was perfect for catching the shuttle to the mountain in the morning and parking could not have been easier.

Great location with lots of activities to do in the country club ! Very close to Yosemite national park. Alan was very helpful and quick to respond .

This stay made us want to buy a place in Bear Valley. The people who live and work here are so friendly and helpful. Extremely well-appointed kitchen - nice knives, pots/pans. Tastefully decorated.
