This old-fashioned diner, owned by a single mom, serves hearty meals that last all day. Their eggs Benedict, with fresh spinach, avocado, and homemade skillet potatoes, is a standout. Watching “CoCo” cook—his energy is unmatched—is an experience! Get there early; we went twice, and it was packed. Consider contributing to The Local Joint’s “pay it forward” option. A $10 donation covers a meal for someone in need. This region of North Carolina was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene. The destruction is heartbreaking, but the community is rebuilding. Many businesses and walking trails remain closed, so keep that in mind.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great communication, excellent location that was walkable to downtown but also peaceful and quiet. Very comfortable and we loved the private hot tub. Will stay again!

Brandon and Becca’s listing is the perfect place in Hendersonville, near the downtown area and easy for swift drives to other nearby towns and cities. The house included everything stated, including the amazing hot tub that was perfect for the chilly nights. Although we didn’t get to use the fire pit, they were still very helpful when we had a question about it. I brought my dog and he absolutely loved the backyard space, making it like his own little racetrack. I would 1000000% recommend this place to anybody traveling to the Hendersonville/Asheville/Brevard areas. And I will be keeping them on my favorite list to ensure I return!

This quaint cottage is nestled in the blue ridge mountains with beautiful views and cozy amenities. The house was as described, the hot tub was great, the stars were beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay! Perfect mix of old and new. Loved the fireplaces and hot tubs! Makes me want a stone cottage with dark wood, tall ceilings and built ins! Very relaxing and easy drive to points of interest. Loved the pond and cows.

Wonderful stay just minutes from Asheville but quiet and dark enough to see stars and wildlife. Loved the big screened porch and seating on the ridge, as well as all the tools in the kitchen.

We had a wonderful time celebrating my fiancés birthday in Saluda as well as staying at Karen and Katie’s place. It’s an absolute adorable house that was perfect for the two of us and our service dog. Location was peaceful and exactly what we were looking for! Would definitely go back!

My husband and I booked Mike's place because it was recommended to us by family that lives in the area. It did not disappoint, in fact, it exceeded my expectations. I can't say enough of how clean and welcoming it was, and after a long drive we were so happy to unwind in such a perfect place. The location was also extremely important for us. It was near our family and it was walking distance to Main Street. We were a short drive to favorite restaurants and to Pisgah National Forest. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and look forward to visiting again. Thank you Mike! We appreciate your hard work in maintaining such a lovely place.

Amazing location, easy drive to hikes and downtown. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The yard was an added plus for my dog. Burn pit seemed like a perfect place to spend evenings, unfortunately we couldn’t utilize it due to a burn ban in effect. We definitely would stay again!

We had a truly wonderful time here! Mike was the most amazing host, and greeted us when we arrived. We appreciated the welcome bottle of wine, the cozy cottage, and beautiful yard. Most importantly, I forgot my work laptop when I left, and Mike was so understanding and responsive. He arranged for next-day shipping, which put my distraught mind at ease. Beautiful home—we enjoyed our stay very much. Francis was friendly and so helpful! We brought our son and two furry four legged daughters who loved the grounds! It was actually better than pictures and descriptions. Home was clean, inviting, comfortable. You won’t be disappointed picking this home for a vacation or quick stay We will definitely be back. Great location — 10 mins to the Blue Ridge parkway and 10 mins to grocery stores. The space was comfortable and we enjoyed lounging on the patio bed after a hike. Our dog loved the path behind the house too!

We had a very comfortable stay for two nights. We had two couples staying and for us, sharing a bathroom amongst the four of us was very easy and simple. The itchen was well sticked. The lication is such that going for a walk would not E easy but the home itself was more than comfortable .

Delightful stay! Went to Asheville for business and stayed at this lovely cottage in nearby Candler. This pristine one bedroom unit, (with fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and gas fireplace), is located in a rural setting a short drive from Asheville. Ate at nearby Hungry Bear Cafe, (a great diner serving breakfast and lunch) as well as at the Waffle House. Ordered delivery twice from El Paraiso Mexican Grill and once from Galactic Pizza. The attention to detail is always amazing at this property-supplies for the fire pit and roasting marshmallows were already there upon our arrival. Love the location with easy access to Hendersonville or Brevard. Host is very easy to communicate with. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back again!

This was our second stay at Bluebird and it was just as lovely as the first. Lauria and Randy are excellent hosts and their home is such a peaceful respite from the world. Our boys were 1 and 4 last time we came and they’ve been asking to go back ever since. They were sad to leave when it was time to go. They feel so at home there. A perfect way to explore the beautiful WNC region while coming home to a peaceful, secluded paradise at the end of every day.

This cottage provided a wonderful weekend getaway. It is cozy with all that you would need. They were great with their instructions and the location was very quiet. It is walkable to many of our favorite eating spots. It was a great find for the 2 of us, and we look forward to going back!
