The barn was beautifully situated and very peaceful. We loved the family dogs and cats coming to visit us. The barn is right on the Cuckoo trail and so we enjoyed walking along enjoying the spring sunshine . A really lovely pub in Old Heathfield called The Star Inn is definitely worth a visit, it's warm, cosy and very friendly. The food was delicious so well worth the short walk from the barn. A couple of nights in this beautiful setting was just perfect.

If you are looking for peace and quiet this is perfect. Just an easy place to stay!.

This was a Birthday treat that I booked for my husband. It was just what we were looking for. Surrounded by beauty and so peaceful. Great recommendation set out in Gemma’s booklet. Absolutely great. Gemma gave very clear and concise information from booking onwards, taking all the stress of the unknown away. Such an easy check in and out. We could not have asked for more! Can’t wait to return. Oh and Lux our dog loved it to 🐶

We were 4 friends, a daughter and 2 dogs. We booked at very short notice (the morning of the stay) as our ferry to Guernsey was cancelled due to the weather. Rachel was very responsive to taking our booking and getting the cleaners arranged. The property is very beautiful and spacious with a larger kitchen and dining area. The entrance door is the smallest I have seen and it felt we were entering a large Bilbo Baggins hobbit house. Plenty of parking space for our 3 cars. Plenty of kitchen equipment, crockery, glasses and fridge space. We sat in the large lounge and watched the 6 Nations Rugby when it rained and had wonderful walks on a few beaches. There is an excellent butchers 5 minutes away and also fantastic fresh fish at a Hastings fishmongers. We had a great time celebrating a friend’s birthday and I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful property in stunning surroundings with a great host. Super comfy beds with crisp white quality linen and it was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Lovely to have our own outside space and the views from the upstairs patio windows were gorgeous. Our visit was for a family members funeral and this property gave us the peaceful bolthole we needed.

Just came back from a weekend stay at Alice and Alan's place. We were welcomed at the gate by Alan and were instantly made to feel right at home. The place was cosy, spotless and well appointed with beautiful surroundings. There's a large pond on the property which is a perfect place to have your morning tea and there are plenty of beautiful walks in the surrounding area. Alice and Alan were excellent hosts - friendly, responsive and accessible if we had any queries. I'd highly recommend for a weekend getaway and would definitely consider coming back.

Lovely Kent getaway It was our first time visiting Kent and we wanted to spend a relaxing family weekend. We’re so happy we picked this place! Emma is a fantastic host and communication was simple and clear since the beginning. The place is wonderful, so charming, beautifully decorated, clean and well equipped. Our son fell in love with the little play area above the stairs! We would love to go back!

A cute lodge set amid the vast countryside. Calm and tranquil yet close to the bustling town of Rye and Camber Sands! Couldn’t have asked for more, especially on our trip where we had e does sun and lambs bouncing around at our doorstep! Lovely little break, would highly recommend

We took my wife’s parents for a weekend away,not too far from home, but out in the Kent countryside. The barn was as described and as shown in the pictures. The instructions to find and access the property were clear and accurate. The barn is very warm, which was nice as travelling with elderly parents. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. There is a nice kitchen which we only used for breakfast but there was everything available if you wanted to bring food and cook. There are plenty of DVD’s, books and local information available if you wanted to read or the weather is bad and you stay in. This is the perfect space for 4 people with two bedrooms both of which are en-suite. Parking is right next to the building and it’s easy to get to local attractions. Perfect stay even if the weather was freezing cold. Thank you.

This stay was lovely, great for the price, very clean and comfortable. The host was friendly and contactable. We would definitely recommend and return if in the area again.

was a lovely location for a relaxing weekend break. lovely hot tub to soak in private and peaceful. great break for the 2 of us and our dog. nice dog walk through fields to the nearby pub The Plough which was dog friendly and lovely food.

Amazing stay my friends and I loved this place it left like home to home! Can’t wait to rebook so much to do onsite and off so close to the beach! We also had breakfast which was really good and farm shop is brilliant! Hot tub is really good touch! Alex was a Fantastic host! Thank you for having us !

Very happy with our choice of the Cottage, very close to our own properties , so more than likely we will try and stay there again not because what i just said but its so peaceful as well and that is very important to us as a family, it also contained all and more desirable amenities you need. Perhaps if there is something I would add to the cottage service I personally would in a hot day of a guest arriving,( like us) I would make sure to leave the windows upstairs open to create a cooler ambience . When we arrived ( end of the day) it was just like in Dubai -) very hot! Many thanks

We had a fantastic stay in the beautiful Sussex countryside. The accommodation was perfect for our family, our toddler loved the horses and friendly dogs. Nick and Nicole were super hosts and we appreciated extras like a welcome hamper and dressing gowns. Although the weather was cold and wet, the cottage was very warm and cosy: a real home from home! would definitely recommend and love to come back sometime!

We had a fabulous couple of nights at the Cow Shed, the instructions Caroline left were really clear and made the place very easy to find. Comfy bed, cosy fireplace and everything we needed for a lovely weekend away. The location was great, a 5-minute drive to the Pantiles and some tasty recommendations in the guest book. Thank you!

A very peaceful location, Charlie very kindly allowed an early check-in which helped with your travel plans. We walked into a warm home, clean and quaintly decorated, that was both inviting and relaxing. Charlie also ensured we were supplied with some delicious essentials! Can't recommend this location enough.

I stayed at Andrew's place for a week with my husband and 3 year old son and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The open kitchen/lounge area works well with young children. The wood burner had a sturdy safety gate and all plug sockets had protective covers. It's well placed for visiting the local area. Plenty of national trust properties nearby and we drove the Heart of Kent route one day. Port Lympe zoo is also brilliant. Unfortunately, our son became ill during our stay so we had to cut our stay short by a couple of days. Despite that, my son hasn't stopped talking about our stay at Long Stable and will be booking a return stay in the near future. Marie, Oli and Alfie.

This property is outstanding. It's set in the beautiful Kent countryside but not far from anywhere. It's extremely well-equipped, very modern inside. It's warm and very comfortable. Sharron is a great host; very accommodating, helpful and kind. Just the best. We go to the UK from Canada every year to see my cousin who lives nearby and we will definitely be asking Sharron if we can stay here again in future years.

Cannot recommend enough - had a fantastic stay, Vivienne was so helpful and responsive, often checked in to make sure I had everything I needed. Overall, had a fantastic stay and was well looked after. Beautiful surroundings, even in cold wet Feb. Plenty of wildlife, chickens, ducks and guinea fowl to admire out the window!

Surrounded by nature, feels very private too. Can completely unwind with sheep so say hello if you look out the window in the morning! The barn is clean, very cosy and has all the amenities you could need. Walked to the brewery nearby and went on a few runs in the surrounding countryside. Had a glorious stay!
