This home was an amazing getaway for our friends and family! Hot tub was so nice and was surrounded by a gazebo so even when it got cold at night it was so enjoyable, he was so nice to help us get to the Emus and donkeys by ATV to feed with the kids! It was a beautiful spot all around, house has charm and the Master bed was so comfortable! Leif was close by if we needed anything! Two ponds are able to be fished at and we were all catching bass! It was overall just amazing! 10/10 gotta try this spot out!

We did a mini staycation for Spring Break and had a very relaxing time! We didn’t need to go anywhere after we bought groceries. This place has everything! Hot tub, fire pits, tons of board games, arcade! My 2 boys, 15 and 11 had a blast and my husband and I got to take it all in and relax as well. Highly recommend!! I had some questions here and there and Misti would answer them lickity split! Awesome host!

There was a variety of snacks that were left for us, which was very appreciated. Also the hot tub was the star of the show! The place is clan and it comes with everything that I could think of. Highly recommend.

Very cozy place, perfect place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet for a few days. Internet was a little slow, but it was still good enough for remote work (we didn't try turning video on for our meetings though). We would love to come back here, the hot tub and wood burning stove were great. Chadi was very quick to respond to any questions.

Great house close to Sugarbowl. Brent was very flexible and helpful. Kitchen was nice, the beds were comfy and the front stairs were heated (so no shoveling!). We hope to be back for another ski trip!

Our visit was such a beautiful stay. Our entire family, including our pets enjoyed the home and its amenities. It offered deck with grilling and outdoor seating for breakfast or coffee. The yard below offers fire pit with tree stumps surrounding it for s’mores. Behind the home is a clean and well maintained hot tub that the teens enjoyed. It’s very peaceful and quiet at night. The home has a great layout with well kept furniture and appliances that all functioned. The bedding felt like hotel quality and towels, as well. The hosts were great in keeping a well stocked home with everything we needed for cooking, cleaning, and even a thoughtful welcome basket with coffee pods! Overall, fantastic stay. We ventured to hike at Hazel Meadow to see the waterfall. A breathtaking hike around Jenkinson Lake.

I really enjoyed staying in Matt’s cabin with my wife, niece, nephew, cousin, and our dog. It was a cozy place with a ton of character. The location was great for us as it is much closer to the Bay than some Tahoe spots, and the cabin is in a quiet area with great sledding nearby. Would love to return!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Our host Olivia was so helpful, super responsive, always checking in and making sure we had what we need. Just a wonderful place to get away and relax, felt like home away from home.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Workshop! This place immediately felt like home - if our home was full of the most amazing antiques. Gail also added thoughtful touches for our dog, and even had a balloon waiting to celebrate a birthday. I would absolutely stay here again.

As just about everyone else who has rented this amazing place, we had a really magical time. This is a beautifully designed space with a lot of details that really make it an exceptional space (taller counters, flush laid doormats, etc). For future guests: there is a bedroom on the ground floor with a double bed. Upstairs in an open loft there is a (queen?) bed and we did ask for the other (double) bed to get setup. The surrounding land is beautiful. The kids loved looking for frogs and lizards and playing basketball. There’s also a gorgeous table outside for eating. Based on just how well outfitted this rental is I’d assume it’s a well used second home. It had everything including a great spice drawer.

Wonderful place to stay close. My daughter and I had an amazing weekend, and loved that it was only a 9 minute drive from Sugar Bowl. The house has a great fully stocked kitchen. Jennifer was very responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay again!

Comfortable cabin for 2 people. Convenient location to explore Donner Pass area and easy access to the cabin. Wood stove worked great and plenty of wood, walkable neighborhood, responsive host, kitchen has very basic amenities and fine for simple meal prep but a bit small/cramped if you plan on more than simple cooking. Main bed has a very firm mattress if that's what you like. Close to the busy Hwy 80 corridor but the winter snow dampened the traffic noise. Appreciated the pet supplies (dog bowl, towels). Hosts are prompt communicators, cabin works great for a base camp. Thanks Petra and Gunnar.

Lovely spot, perfect for the "cozy cabin weekend" my family craved. The cabin has many LARGE windows that look out into the trees, lots to amuse one on the property, and great nearby hiking if you're looking to get out. It was spotlessly clean. If you visit at a chilly time of year I would recommend bringing slippers--the cabin heats up well and quickly, but the tile floor stayed cold :)

A lot of attention to detail was what I noticed. When I arrived, everything I needed and wanted was right there, even things that are important like a super comfortable bed, with high-quality linens. The place was adorable, spacious and relaxing. Perfect for what I needed, I’ll definitely be back again.

Just as described. A peaceful getaway. A great space for families. Well stocked kitchen. Very clean. A few bugs but nothing out of the ordinary for being in a wooded area. Comfortable furniture inside and out. Mattresses are firm. Great suggestions for food and activities near by, but mostly just stayed in the cabin and enjoyed the peace and quiet. My children and I all really enjoyed our stay!

We would definitely return to this beautiful and comfortable home in the mountains. It is very secluded and at a lower elevation so road conditions, traffic, crowds, etc. were not an issue. Still, we were so close to skiing, lakes, hiking trails, Kirkwood, Tahoe, etc. that we could choose a new activity each day. Spacious kitchen and big table for game nights too. Loved it and hope to go back!

I have stayed here multiple times and always have had a great experience. It’s a beautiful property with the full cabin in the woods experience. A beautiful night sky with the sound of nature. I highly recommend!

The moment you walk into the Airbnb you can tell that the hosts were thoughtful in creating an aesthetically pleasing spot. It's very quaint and perfect for relaxing outside and enjoying the spa amenities. The outdoor sauna, bath, and table w/ a firepit worked great and were all VERY enjoyable. They are new hosts and they are working out the kinks, but I don't foresee this being an ongoing issue. The hosts are very attentive and open to feedback. The spot is close to Nevada City and has great foot spots. Overall, very pleased!!

This cabin is awesome. The peaceful wooded surroundings are great, the fireplace is nice and comfy, and there’s plenty to do inside the cabin.

We had a great time at this cabin! It was absolutely beautiful. First night there was hardly any snow and the second night it was snowing all day and was an absolute winter wonderland. I highly appreciate the snow plow on the road to get us safely back to highway 80. Friendly neighbors too, hi Randy!

The Cabin is a charming, cozy spot nestled in the middle of the woods. We needed a last-minute reservation, and luckily, the Cabin was available, so we jumped on it. Cristy was very communicative and even allowed us to check in 30 minutes early, which was a huge help since we were traveling with two small children. The place is filled with fun activities like board games, and the kids absolutely loved all the little tchotchkes. The Snow Park is conveniently close, and the Cabin provided a wonderfully warm retreat to snuggle up in after a day in the snow. Thanks, Cristy!

Nice house in forest setting close to hwy 50 and El Dorado National Forest. Private but a little too close to the highway. You can hear traffic if sitting outside but not from inside and you can't really see the cars because of all the beautiful trees surrounding the house.

I very much enjoyed my stay at this cabin. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, utinsels, plates, glasses, mugs, etc. The dishwasher is narrower than usual but I was glad to have it. The washer and dryer worked well, too. The Xfinity wifi was definitely fast enough to work from the cabin and for streaming. As mentioned in the description, I didn’t have cell service there via Verizon, but using the wifi calling setting on my phone worked well. I had a tasty dinner at the 50 Grand restaurant (reservations sometimes needed). There’s a full-sized Safeway grocery store in that area. There’s a reservoir nearby with a hiking trail around most of it and a waterfall. There should be a parking pass for the reservoir in the drawer. My phone mapping app found the cabin address just fine. If possible, it would be good to arrive during the day as the cabin is on a side road from the main road that is slightly tricky to find. The cabin is mostly shaded in the pine trees with midday sun.
