We are on a roadtrip around North Island. We started 2 weeks ago. And our 2 night stay at the cabin was just what we needed: a relax-day. The weather was great, the view over the sea phantastic, the family wild turkeijs walking around our cabin so nice. We did a small beach walk and most of our time we sat on the veranda. Sometimes looking through the binoculars. We did nothing. We felt at home. Andrew gave good and complete instructions before we came in. We felt it nice that we have met Christine. She informed us friendly about her farming and about the environment. Thank you Andrew and Christine for your hospitality 😊

I was part of a wedding party for days-long wedding festivities up the road and Jeremy and Rae's Tiny House was the perfect retreat from the chaos – as well as a blissful place for us to do hair and makeup looking out over the peaceful paddocks! Jeremy and Rae are super lovely, helpful and friendly and I really appreciated the little extras – from chocolate biscuits in a tin, to bringing coffee while we were getting ready for the wedding. Highly recommend The Tiny House for a rural escape that's not too far from AK City!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mary Ann’s house, Ara Station! Mary Ann was incredibly kind and welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed her delicious homemade breakfast. She even provided some toys for our 5-year-old daughter, which she absolutely loved! The house itself is beautiful, filled with natural light, and offers an amazing view. It’s so peaceful and quiet—falling asleep to the sounds of birds and the ocean was perfect. We enjoyed walking to the lake and even further to the waterfall. The lake is wonderful for swimming, and Mary Ann’s recommendation to visit Fairy Falls was spot on—it was absolutely stunning. After a long journey, this was the perfect place to arrive and unwind. We highly recommend staying here!

What a magical place!! We feel completely recharged after our stay at Emma's beautiful holiday home. A great getaway for every age, spaceous inside and out, and with lots to do, but quiet enough if you enjoy your tranquil moments. Emma is a fantastic host, very responsive and caring. Will be back in a heartbeat, absolutely love this place!!

Love love love everything about this home. The views, the animals, the conversations. Everything was like a fairytale. The fruit from the farm was delicious (even tried a new type of fruit I’d never had!), the tub was perfect for a nice relaxing soak after being at the beach all day. Will be coming back here when I visit NZ again. 11/10

Great views and friendly hosts.

With beautiful views across to the Firth of Thames, this was a great place to spend time at the seabird coast and catch the right tides. The house was comfortable and very well fitted out. Big oven and all we needed. Excellent cafe just up the hill with gallery. Barry and Liz were very kind and helpful, and changed the booking when we needed to.

We had an amazing stay! The place is stunning, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. Everything was spotless and well-designed for comfort. Brian and Jenny were incredible hosts—warm, attentive, and thoughtful. I especially loved how instantly we felt at home. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

Our stay at Coastal Acres Escape was nothing short of magical! This beautiful, peaceful, and homely retreat was the perfect place for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed—with a thoughtful treat of wine and muffins waiting for us. The breathtaking views were unlike anything we’ve ever seen, and every little detail in the house had been carefully considered. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed for cooking, and the bathroom had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The luxurious bathtubs and bath salts made it impossible not to unwind completely. The location was stunning, the home was exquisite, and Sarah was an absolute pleasure—so friendly and easy to reach. We couldn’t recommend Coastal Acres Escape highly enough and will definitely be back to relax and recharge again!

Loved the cottage in Karaka. Beautiful, charming, quiet, peaceful area in the Southern end of Auckland. The cottage has a great kitchen with everything you need. Michelle left a lovely fresh loaf of bread and eggs for us. Super comfy bed with top quality linen. The central aircon is great. The outdoor bath tub was the highlight for me, just wonderful to gaze at the stars at night! Had a wonderful stay, many thanks Michelle.

We were looking for a stop over somewhere between stops that would cut the distance having to drive on any particular day. The Nest was perfect, set just off SH1 north of Auckland it was an ideal stop over. There is as much or as little to do locally and some great options to eat out or as we did dined sat on the balcony taking in the wonderful view and waiting for the odd fleeting visit from a Fantail or two. It was such a relaxing space and we were blessed with a clear night so stargazing was a real treat. This is a wonderful location to recharge batteries and chill !

Great peaceful location to spend after or before an international flight. The surroundings are beautiful. We loved the great deck and the comfortable bed. We would highly recommend this place!

We had a lovely 2 night stay - quiet, private and tranquil with beautiful views of rolling hills and paddocks. Kelly is an excellent communicator and swift to assist. Everything is as described; the listing descriptions are well-crafted with honesty and integrity. Happy to have found this place and would recommend to others!

Lovely homey place. Gets quite hot in summer tho with no AC. Well equipped kitchen. Good TV setup. Just wish the windows had mosquito nets.

I had a great stay here, the house was immaculate, and well stocked. An easy place to stay while enjoying the local activities in Waipu. Beautiful outlook and for a rural property felt like it wasn’t too far off the beaten track. Highly recommend :)

We absolutely loved staying in the cute caravan! It was super calm and almost felt like the only neighbors were some adorable chickens. Cozy bed, nice shower and beautiful nature wherever you were looking🌿 Donna was super kind and always happy to help, if needed. Would definitely recommend if you want to escape the city for a bit 🔅

What a lovely stay. Anette and Keith were the most wonderful hosts. Super friendly and took time out of their day to let our children go feed the sheep and alpaca which they absolutely loved. Surroundings were so gorgeous, peaceful and relaxing. Anette and Keith recommended some great places nearby and we got to go to a nice beach and lots of restaurants only 10 minutes away. Such a nice and relaxing end to a busy trip. Would 100% recommend, such a fabulous place to stay and the best hosts imaginable. ♥️

Great location close to the beach. But also a great place to hang around and relax with family and friends. The backyard has a lovely garden and plenty of room for the kids to run around, and the house is well equipped with just about everything you need. Would love to come back and stay again sometime. thanks!

Heaven’s Rest and Kiwu cabin are worth far more than 5 stars. Robert has thought of everything. We have never stayed in an Airbnb that has included so much food for breakfast, teas, coffees fruit etc. As much as you would get at a hotel buffet breakfast! kiwi cabin overlooks a beautiful paddock with a cow and 2 goats in residence. They kept us very entertained. The cabin was spotless, with beautiful furnishings and very cosy. We absolutely 100% recommend a stay at Heaven’s Rest.

For my wife and me, this was the perfect place to rest and recharge after a long transit from the U.S. An easy 40-minute drive from Aukland airport brought us to this very peaceful and beautiful lodging, where we were warmly welcomed. We slept like a dream in the comfy bed and appreciated the great shower, the little kitchen well stocked with breakfast options, and the big windows and deck giving lovely, restful views of the farm and landscape beyond. We enjoyed a walk to Hunua Falls and a supper at a vineyard just down the road. We couldn't have asked for a better first night in New Zealand!
