A really lovely cabin with everything you need for enjoying a few days in the Lakes. We loved the location, very close to Ambleside and not far from Grasmere and Windermere for shops. Loads of nice trails available as soon as you leave the estate. We stayed with two kids and it was perfect, would love to visit again!

Honestly could not recommend this place enough, to start Gayle let us know that it was ready early if needed, easy instructions on how to get inside, the place has everything you’ll need, plates cups and cutlery, a fridge, microwave kettle etc. Inside the home is instructions on where to put rubbish etc which is always swiftly collected from the box outside, Bathroom is perfect with great shower pressure and the heating is fab. Local taxi numbers provided and local restaurant menus, even some sleep spray in the drawers!! The place is very homely and has absolutely everything you’ll need, upon entry we had some robes slippers and even some little chocolates provided which was nice. We also were given some breakfast items, biscuits and water. Gayle checked in after our first night to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything, honestly 10/10 can’t fault it!! The room is also bigger than we expected! Would recommend and would love to return if in the area :)

A beautiful location, perfect for wildlife spotting and relaxing. The local community were friendly and welcoming. It was the ideal base from which to explore the area with our children and family who live nearby. We visited Ayr beach, Calderglen, and Dumfries House, all of which were excellent. Cottage was well equipped with everything we needed and we were able to get a supermarket delivery direct to the door with all the supplies we needed. The children enjoyed the books, toys and games provided. Overall a great stay, and would recommend to anyone looking to visit this region of Scotland.

A beautiful house in a fantastic location which had everything we needed for a night away to celebrate our friend's birthday! Thanks so much for having the hot tub on so we could use it the evening we arrived. We enjoyed it again before breakfast... what a treat looking out at the spectacle views on a sunny Saturday morning in March! Memories made will be treasured for a long time to come. We had a fantastic time with Conna, the apartment was pristine and the pool and cinema room were used loads by our kids. Well placed for the Causeway route and short hop in to Belfast made things incredibly convenient, Downshire train station is a 15 min walk away. Conna was a very pro-active host, we were met when we arrived and shown around and we had a selection of welcome treats too. All in all we would highly recommend and are keen to stay here again when we are back in NI

Our second time visiting the Tranquil Orchard to stay in the Nuthatch Cabin with Hot tub. Excellent hosts and fabulous facilities, beautiful views and complimentary wine and Scottish tablet on arrival. Wendy and Joe very kindly left a lovely card for me as my mum had sadly passed away 2 days before our trip was planned. It was the perfect escape to rest and reflect in beautiful surroundings with my partner and friends. I can’t wait to visit again to make more happy memories . Thank you so much Wendy and Joe for everything, I am eternally grateful to both of you xxxx

Dan was a great host and his place is just as described. Lots of good beaches and things for the children to do are not too far away. Its a shame that the bridge over the railway line to the beach is closed but this is beyond Dan's control.!

We just had a great stay at the templand cottages. Brilliant location. Very peaceful. The pool was great additional amenity as the kids loved it. We stayed in the Jane Welsh cottage and it was probably the most private when in the hot tub and had excellent views over the hills. Thanks for a relaxing stay.
