We can't begin to describe the amazing time we had at Finca. We were fully immersed in the culture of the Costa Rican life! The property is beautiful, birds, chickens, horses, flowers and fruit trees everywhere. Luis was our guide for the week, and he truly loves what he does. He took us line fishing 4 times at the mouth of the Pacific Ocean, and we caught huge snappers and sea bass which Rachael cooked for us. So many monkeys!! Catching crabs for bait was so much fun. Toucans a sloth, parrots, howler monkeys the list is endless. Sleeping was great, we were a little concerned that there was no A/C but the fans kept us cool at night and during the day. We would definitely go back again. Oh, forgot our massages by Sara in the open air, truly incredible.

Yeiner and his wife are so helpful! He met us at the beach and provided a ride to the Airbnb. He helped us set up a tour of the National Park, and provided transportation to the beach, where our tour began. He checked in to make sure we had all we needed. We were very well cared for. The area felt safe and we could walk to restaurants and the beach. Yeiner’s place is far enough from the beach to feel like you are in the jungle, but close enough to walk there in about 10 minutes. It is hilly, so be prepared hike up and down. After our day time adventures, we were able to fully enjoy evenings on the deck. We highly recommend this Airbnb!

We had some trouble locating/accessing Samuel’s place due to the fact that we drove and instructions were unclear. And even though we knew there were rivers to cross, it had rained that day and it was WAY scarier than we expected! Beyond that, Samuels place was great. We loved the accessibility to the beach which was AMAZING and almost always empty!It was unbelievably gorgeous and catching the boats to our tours from the beach was awesome! The restaurant on site is the only option for food due to the remote location. The food was very good and reasonably priced ($12 per meal). You just pay at the end before checking out, very convenient. Samuel was quick to respond to anything we needed and help us solve a couple issues!

We truly appreciate Familia Riba De La Ossa - welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our priceless stay! The home is beautifully crafted with art that helps you connect with the magical natural surroundings, and it offers a variety of comfortable places to sit and observe unique birds, monkeys, insects, and plants in the pristine jungle surrounding their home. We loved swimming and relaxing on the beautiful (feels like a private) beach, hiking the Drake Bay trail, falling asleep and waking up with calming sounds of the waves and jungle - healing and inspirational! We went on incredible adventures to Corcovado, Tapir Trail, Sierpe River and the Riba family offered to help arrange all. Our time there reminded our family how important it is to love and protect the natural world we live in - thank you, Pablo, Lucia and Sofia for sharing your home with us, the warm welcome and hospitable stay! We hope to return soon!

We stayed for 8 days in February. It’s an easy 2-minute walk to the beautiful, sandy bottom beach. Very private: we never saw more than 4 to 6 people in the water. The garden around the house is amazing….so many flowers and fruit trees and a couple “frog ponds”. Nony took us for a walk one night with a good flashlight and we saw several frogs and sleeping butterflies. We flew to Drake Bay then Karin arranged a taxi to the house. (45 min. ride) We bought groceries on the way in and then had more delivered on the 4th day. We had dinner delivered from the basic restaurant one night - delivery charge was only $2 per meal. Karin and Nony were Very quick to respond to any question or need that we had and were completely knowledgeable about the plants and wildlife. The front ‘yard’ was visited by many tanagers, woodpeckers, as well as toucans and macaws and monkeys most days. We would definitely come back here. Nony and Karin brought us fresh fruit Every day!

Wir haben vier Übernachtungen in dieser wunderschönen Unterkunft verbracht. Shane und Katharina sind sehr freundlich, äußerst hilfreich und reagieren sehr schnell auf sämtliche Anfragen. Das kleine Haus liegt oberhalb mit einem fantastischen Blick auf die Bucht und den Urwald. Morgens früh direkt nach Sonnenaufgang kann man zahlreiche Vogelarten beobachten. Im Haus gibt es alles, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub benötigt. Frühstück, Mittagessen oder Abendessen kann man im fußläufigen Restaurant vorbestellen. Die Gegend ist grandios. Von hier aus sind wir per Boot zum Nationalpark und auch zum Schnorcheln auf die 12 Meilen vorgelagerte Insel gebracht worden. Sehr schöne Ausflüge. Ansonsten sind wir durch den unmittelbar am Strand beginnenden Urwald gelaufen. Hier gibt es mit etwas Glück neben der einzigartigen Vogelwelt Tapire, verschiedene Äffchen und ab und an einen Puma zu sehen. Ein sehr schönes Häuschen im Paradies.

Scarlett House is a jewel of a home in a spectacular setting just next to Corcovado national park. Seven friends stayed together here, and enjoyed the home cooking of Tatiana, and the expert guidance of Yeri, who brings a lifetime of local and lived knowledge, with such generosity, care, responsiveness, and humour. We walked in the park, kayaked at sunrise, and birdwatched all times of day and nite. Huge thanks for this treasured time in an unforgettable, peaceful spot.
