We stayed here for one week during our two week honeymoon. Drake bay appealed to us because of Corcovado and unspoiled natural surroundings of the Drake Bay Area. The Airbnb is in a fantastic location, situated just outside of Drake Bay. It felt very private, right on the beach. The property is beautiful, we loved being visited by scarlet macaws and white face monkeys. Our host, Alexis, was absolutely phenomenal. She helped with all our tour bookings, local recommendations and checking in each day to see if we needed anything. Alexis went above and beyond, and was the best host we’ve ever encountered. I would highly recommend staying at La Joyita, it’s a little piece of paradise that we will remember forever.

Amazing place to stay. We loved her home and hospitality. The house was very comfortable with a great area to relax inside and outside on the deck. We cooked several nights and also used the grill. Lots of towels and the pool area was perfect. There was other things to do such as ping pong. The beach is a 2 minute walk. The birds in the area were fantastic. The macaws were just right out the door. We also used the kayaks. Amanda’s place is the perfect place to stay. She recommended a restaurant for us when we told her we were going to King Louis Waterfall that was super. We cannot recommend her place enough. Great place to stay.

I cannot say enough positive things about staying at this villa in the jungle! The early mornings listening and watching the macaws, to the peaceful short walks to the private waterfalls and swimming holes, this place is an oasis. But what really makes it perfect is Ashley and Andrew. Their story is inspiring and they do everything they can to make your stay perfect. Even the gardener Luis showed us how to open our own coconuts! Their dogs Baxter and Penny were just icing on the cake. Overall, this place blew me away. Just don’t be surprised to see a few (giant) bugs haha but overall, it was a perfect stay.

Wow! Das war eine sehr schöne Erfahrung! Der Ausblick von der Terasse ist super. Die ganze Natur kommt dich besuchen (Aguti mit Jungen, Kolibri, Tucan, Ara's, Kapuzineraffen, Chachalaca, Brüllaffen, Leguane, viele weitere Vögel). Man sitzt draussen und es wird nie langweilig. Das ganze Dorf mit Restaurant's, Strand sowie die Treffpunkte für Ausflüge sind innerhalb 10min zu Fuss erreichbar. Wir waren mit eigenem Auto da und Yeiner und Sonja haben uns Tipp's gegeben wo wir überall hinfahren konnten. Die zwei geben sich sehr Mühe, dass die Ferien für alle Gäste zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis werden. Vielen Dank, dass wir bei euch sein durften!

A truly exciting and unique experience! The outdoor shower and toilet added a real sense of adventure, and waking up to the sounds of monkeys was simply unforgettable. There's even a small jungle trail to explore, making the stay feel like a real nature getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something special and a bit wild!

The house is in the jungle, near the beach close to Corcovado in the quite wild southwestern part of Costa Rica. As such, it takes some work getting to the place and a four wheel drive vehicle is strongly recommended. It is a lovely house for five people. Hiking trails are close by as are numerous beaches. Monkeys and toucans are in the trees that abut the the house. Tour guides for Corcovado will pick you up at a nearby beach so it is not necessary to walk (or drive) into town. Please remember to bring groceries and beverages for the duration of your stay.

I loved staying at Shane and Katy's place. The bed was comfy, it had the amenities we desired, and the views out over the jungle below and out to the ocean where so amazing. I've been to Costa Rica many many times and this is now probably my favorite place to stay. :-)

Diafrutamos mucgo la estancia. Hicimos 3 tours y nos encantaron. Inclusive vimos una danta durante el tour a caballo. Debra y Idner fueron muy atentos, siempre en contacto y flexibles. Idner nos ayudo con los tours, y nos habilito el baño para usarlo despues de haber salido ya que un tour terminaba tarde. Es lejos manejando, pero valio la pena. recomendada la zona y recomendado hospedarse con Debra y Idner.

This was our first time renting an Airbnb in a foreign country, so we were a little nervous. Charles was super helpful and responsive during the whole trip. He gave us great recommendations, scheduled our excursions, and answered all of our questions. The main thing we wanted to do was to go offshore fishing. Charles hooked us up with two great captains (Louis and Donald (Dos Mas), and we had a great day of fishing. The house is located just a very short walk from the pier where you catch the boat. There are also several good restaurants that are within a short walk from the house. We also did an off-road drive and a short hike to the King Louis waterfall, tour of chocolate farm, and went surfing with Keilor (Lakos surf shop in town). We would recommend all of these activities highly. This was a great trip and we had a party of 6 from age 7 to 71. The fishing was amazing.
