We loved the house and the proximity to the beach. We only walked to the beach once for the sunrise, but spent the rest of the time in the house. We loved that each room was spacious, clean, and had a bathroom for each room.

I needed a place to stay while I was in town awaiting the birth of my grandchild. I loved the quaint back yard with the hot tub and twinkle lights surrounded by beautiful trees and landscape . Home was very comfortable and I felt very safe, as I was alone.

Incredible location, and close to everything!

Bryan's place definitely felt like a little home away from home on the beach. It's a quaint cottage, packed with essentials and was just the right size for us two. I was very thankful for its size and no stairs when I unfortunately sprained my ankle on day 2 of our vacation and had to hobble around in crutches the rest of the time! Even though you're right off the main road, there was no noise and was pretty quiet and peaceful. Beach access is right down the road and very easily walkable, or hobbable. The hot tub was a great plus to relax in after a long night. Bryan was very communicative and prompt with questions we had prior to booking. Check-in was very easy and check-out instructions were very reasonable and clear. Overall a great stay that we would definitely book again!

We loved the Whimsy Whale cottage. It was exactly as described in the listing. The pictures were spot on. Angela was a fantastic host, always responsive to our questions and needs. We would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this day! It was the perfect place for my dogs and I to have a great weekend away and enjoy Oak Island. Super close to an awesome dog park and great restaurants downtown. Loved the space and the set up.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, the beach was beautiful and it was peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed the fact that the kitchen and home was stocked with whatever you needed - from hats and beach bags to a hand mixer and other kitchen tools. We felt right at home and would definitely stay here again.

This was my first time using Airbnb and I was not dissappointed. This was a cute, quiet little place to stay just a few minutes from Holden Beach and central to other places we visited while there. No problems checking in. Host was quick to respond. My family and I felt safe in the small neighborhood. Everything was clean and looked just like the listing described. I love that pets are allowed at this location so my little guy could tag along. It felt just like being at home. Would definitely recommend.

Leslie Ann's place was perfect size for our family of four. We loved the space underneath the house, which was spacious and great for hanging out. The location was amazing being less than 5 minute walk to the beach and close to many restaurants and stores. We had a great stay and would happily stay here again.

Was in the perfect part of town. Fun, food, shopping, sweet treats, kids play ground, swings by the lake and so much more with in steps of the house. We knew the first part of our stay would have some ugly weather....we didn't hear a thing our first night and plenty in house to keep you busy. From the video games and tvs throughout...the books were all amazing...the record player!! Got to explain to my daughter who Pink Floyd was and she heard it on vinyl! Awesome memory! No doubt 100 out of 10!!!!!

The place was great. Felt very a spacious and private. The fenced in yard was very well maintained and great for our pups. Great, friendly people. We have stayed in Wilmington/Wrightsville many time and this location is great. While it’s not on the beach, it’s so close and lots of walkable dining. Super close to Airlie Gardens and the harbor for sunsets. Thanks for the stay!

Great place and great host

I stayed for a long weekend with my mother and six year old daughter and we all loved it. It was extremely clean and comfortable. We really appreciated how communicative the hosts were, going out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. We will definitely return!

First time back to Oak Island in 15 years and it did not disappoint. Steven’s place was perfect for us. The location was amazing and the house itself was like being at home. We rented the golf cart and so glad we did. Our car stayed parked and we enjoyed riding around on the cart. We will definitely rent again!

This is my 5th stay at Mike’s place and I keep coming back because it’s just magic. Perfect little beach cottage right on the water. Coffee on that porch is one of my favorite places. Mike is always kind and responsive.

We have stayed many places up the coast and when Oak Island popped up it was new. I had originally been looking at beach view rentals but most seemed a bit sterile after viewing this property. Communication was excellent from the offset and every aspect of a stay is well thought out. Easy to find and in a quiet residential neighbourhood we were greeted with a warm and welcoming home environment. My youngest had the bunk bed and had a nightmare - easiest resettling yet as he went straight back to sleep on the bottom bunk across from his sister. We played games then watched vhs movies each night after days in the local towns and walking the beaches. I am so glad I opted for 3 nights (would have stayed longer) since it felt more like a proper break where we got to know the area a bit (and could get laundry done before leaving). It was cold when we were there but the days were beautiful and the blankets were plentiful. Memories were made thanks to this delightful getaway. Thanks!

This is our second stay at this house and we absolutely love it. We are 3 couples and love the spaciousness and coziness of the house. There are two patios that we enjoy sitting on. The house is very well equipped. It was cold and there were extra blankets. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. We love the neighborhood. It is walkable to the beach and very enjoyable to walk around the neighborhood. Check in and reservation process was easy. We were very excited to have bikes in good shape! We will be back!

The Cottage is a beautiful place to stay while visiting the Wrightsville Beach area. Kristi and Ian were very communicative and kept us posted of holiday events happening in the area during our stay. We found everything we needed in the kitchen to make a nice meal on Thanksgiving. It's a pretty short drive to the beach and just about a mile from Airlie Gardens. We would definitely recommend this spot to others!

Jeanette was a great host. If you wanna be private she won’t be in your business. If you want to talk to her when you see she will say hi and talk to you. My girlfriend and I were hanging out at night patio/balcony and we weren’t disturbed at all. I recommend staying here if you are looking for a private beach stay without spending thousands of dollars.
