This cabin trip had been long anticipated and we were not disappointed at all. The hosts have been so friendly, responsive and accommodating. Nothing fell short of our expectations. The cabin was just as described. They've provided everything you would need and more. My husband and I booked it to spend with our children and grandchildren and it was perfect for our group. The bunkhouse was great! Much warmer than I expected. It's great for adults, no bathroom so wouldn't recommend for children. We also loved the setup of the fire pit and the extra lighting, since it does get pretty dark at night. We loved the pool table and board games they had. The hot tub was such a great way to end the day. Loved the upstairs shower! They really do have everything ready for their guests, towels, kitchen dining items, toiletries, coffee so we had no worries. It was one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. For an Airbnb, they provided so much. We wish we had more time. Thank you so much!!

Great place to hang out if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Had just spent a day moving a family member so the jacuzzi hot tub was just what we needed. Would definitely stay here again!!

Stayed over New Year’s Eve with friends. Marla was very responsive to any questions we had. We enjoyed the place and especially the hot tub. Would stay here again.

My husband and I had a great stay here for my birthday. The cabin was cozy and clean giving the perfect vibe for a snowy springtime stay. We loved the local restaurant recommendation but also enjoyed cooking in the clean minimal kitchen. Liz was very responsive when we had questions and her overall communication was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to be back again myself. Thanks Liz!

My friends and I needed a vacation from the mundane. This place was exactly what we needed. The perfect place to be holed up after a snowstorm that left 6+inches. It was warm and cozy and the decor is adorable.

This was our first trip together and the cabin was everything we were looking for. We felt very much at home and spent an hour or two in the hot tub each night looking outside at the water. We even grilled dinner one night and ate on the dock right next to the water. The best part was our host offering us a later checkout time without us even asking, allowing us to enjoy our last morning a little longer and sleep in a little more after a late night. We would consider visiting again if we ever want to come back to the area

I was very impressed with the place by the lake very nice Sadie is a great person and had the opportunity to meet her at the venue that my son was having his wedding reception. We are already planning our next visit. Also the Hot Tub was ready to go when we got there Thanks John

it was a perfect place to visit my son during his spring break at Stout University. Close to everything, yet you feel so far from it all, beautiful, rustic, cozy and well outfitted. I hope to stay there again when I visit my son at school.

The place was serene with beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset. I loved that the the cabin was well stocked to ensure the most enjoyable stay from fire starter to fire wood. They even included a well-stocked first aid kit that we unfortunately needed to utilized. Very thoughtful hosts!

I had such a wonderful stay! The space was exactly as described, clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. The host was super responsive and made check-in a breeze. The coziest gals winter getaway! The cabin is located on a peaceful lake and the sunrise/sunset over the frozen lake in the huge windows was lovely! The layout of kitchen/living area is perfect for conversation, there are plenty of beds for a group, and the fireplace is a great plus! Chelsea and Ross were incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive during our stay!

If you are looking for a bit of magic on the lakefront this is the location for you! Our family enjoyed a long weekend away at The Owl’s Nest with our dogs and we had a wonderful time! Jami and Jay were amazing hosts! So welcoming and answered any questions we had right away. There was a handwritten note welcoming us upon our arrival. The home is cozy, comfortable and super clean! We loved the wood stove in the living room for the crisp Fall nights while listening to music. The screened in porch was perfect for enjoying a hot mug of coffee and watching the sunrise while listening to the calls of Bald Eagles and Loons. The basement was perfect for watching a movie, playing darts or reading a book in the comfy leather sofa. We enjoyed the canoe and kayak on our last day there. The sand beach was perfect for our dogs to explore and rest in the sunshine. Thank you for an awesome experience at your beautiful property! We will definitely be back!!

We had a great time - it was exactly what we were looking for - a remote cabin. Some other reviews seem to expect more than that - which is not - but it’s perfect for what it is. Maybe a little pricey given the lack of amenities but a great stay and would definitely go back

This is the third time we've stayed at one of Doug's properties, and as usual, it does not disappoint. We love coming to a peaceful, comfortable, and well-stocked (but not cluttered!) space that welcomes you from the moment you walk in. We enjoyed fresh eggs in the morning, walks to the river, and the great hikes just a short drive away. We spent hours listening to music on the sound system and cooking good food in a surprisingly well-stocked kitchen. Doug is an extremely thoughtful host, and we appreciated his quick responsiveness and flexibility with our check-in and check-out times. Though this was not a deterrent to our stay, one thing I thought worth mentioning for other travelers with dogs: springtime is definitely tick season in the river valley!

We have only come in the warmer months so this was a real treat to come in the winter. Easy to use indoor fireplace and kitchen has everything we needed. Grocery store either in Hinckley or Danbury. We went snowshoeing right after a snowfall. It was beautiful and got a bit lost; we should've brought a map that is provided in the cabin...We called and owners immediately helped us by co.ing to rescue us from the trails around Beaver Pond. We will be back this summer and again next Winter!!!

Amazing place. Super cozy and comfortable. The wood burning stove and record player created a magical retreat for creating family memories. The loft is adorable and very spacious! The basement was way roomier than expected. All beds were very comfortable!! and a total hit with my kids. Communication was quick and easy and Naomi was great at checking in with us throughout our stay. Highly recommend!!!

We recently stayed at Matt's cabin and it was the perfect getaway. The house was spotless, well maintained and comfortable. We normally pack bedding, towels and all the "cabin box essentials" which were all provided by Matt which is great to know for the next time! The yard is flat leading to your own private dock. There is also a pontoon boat there if you wanted to rent that. The weather was perfect, the leaves just starting to change, and the fishing was great! We will be back.

Has a great stay at this adorable Webster cabin. Great location, great house, pictures don’t do it justice! Could use an instruction sheet on how to use the fireplace - we knew how but could imagine some may not. But the host was quick to respond when I had a question about the outdoor string lights. Would totally come back!

Due to an injury, we had to stay a second night here and our host was very accommodating throughout the process. The sauna is PRISTINE. I am a Finlander and grew up with a true sauna house build by my great-grandfather…this was a lot like our homeland property, and made our stay comfortable. We are also a LONG line of musicians and came into town for my father’s show at the Casino. We woke Saturday to him playing the drums! It was such a beautiful touch to a well furnished cabin, which is more like a massive home. Thank you, Pavel. We appreciate your flexibility as we navigated chaos. We would absolutely stay again - the space is extremely large and would fit our large family four times over.
