The property is beautiful but Billy and Gill made our stay extra special. They couldn’t do enough to help us feel at home. The apartment was clean, spacious, warm, safe, cosy and exactly as described. There is a large lounge to relax in with a great range of DVDS, games and books. We also had access to the games room which our boys were intrigued by and found a lovely Pinocchio book, Disney jigsaw puzzle and had a little go on the snooker table. But the stand out was the garden with treehouse, trampoline and ride on toys - our boys were obsessed - it was all perfect for our needs. Nice little extra touches were the welcome treats on arrival for both us and our kids and a bottle milk in the fridge. Billy and Gill always had time to talk and make sure everything was okay for us. I had a treatment with Gill which was amazing and would definitely recommend. Already planning our next trip at Stonelea House - thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely home.

A fantastic property! We stay in many Airbnb’s and we’ve never been so happy with a stay.. very clean and tidy, great facilities and even a few welcome gifts! Emma was very professional and responsive in communications.. everything was perfect! We enjoyed the log burner, for which there were logs, kindling and firelighters ready to go! The hot tub was absolutely amazing.. it has lights that change colour and it was very easy to operate.. it was all ready to use, we loved it in the evenings! Kitchen was well equipped and perfect for self catering, great oven/hob, and spotlessly clean. On that note, we were exceptionally happy with the overall cleanliness of the property! Excellent bed linen, towels for the bathroom, and extra for the hot tub. The location is so peaceful and private, a true countryside gem! I could go on and on!.. Thank you, Emma for such a lovely and enjoyable romantic getaway! We will certainly be back! :)

Great location, around the corner from the Metro. Exceeded expectation as haven't used air BnB before. Hosts were helpful. A lovely place, highly recomend!

Property was very clean and tidy and was extremely well furnished with all essentials and more. We felt the hosts had gone the extra mile with some of the finishing touches / extras which came across as they genuinely cared. Hot tub was great, ready to use on arrival and private. Only minor issue we had was the cot bed was a little bit tempremental to put up, however when we asked for any advice Chris called immediately.

We spent a wonderful week in Mill Barn. Lots of small touches like flowers on arrival, brownies, milk in the fridge and the fire set up made the place really welcoming and inviting. Nice walk to the local pub but be prepared for the hill back up. Overall would highly recommend.

Lovely peaceful and secluded location. Fun building to live in. Friendly hosts. We loved going out on bike rides and coming back to relax in the hot tub watching the stars.

Really enjoyed our stay. The place was lovely and cosy with comfortable beds. Appreciated that the hot tub was covered so we could use it despite the bad weather. Lovely hosts!

We were a family of 15 With ages ranging from 7-80 The house was clean & spacious if a little tired & we just managed the bedroom spaces However we made the house our home for the 4 days we were there & we had several birthday celebrations Malcolm was extremely attentive particularly in relation to hot tubs He was very easy going & friendly & nothing was too much bother He also supplied a welcome pack & appeared with fresh eggs on our first morning We had a very special time there including a walk around Hadrian’s Wall & a visit to the Roman museum All in all we all had a fabulous time

Cosy cottage next to the sea. Stunning views and peaceful location. The view of the stars at night was impressive - no light pollution. Lots of birds to watch and great rock pools. The house was warm with a log fire. The bedrooms were a good size. Beds were comfy with clean linen and bedding. We like the area and would like to come back and explore more soon.

A beautiful place to stay inside and out. The views were breathtaking! Our little dogs loved playing in the garden which was well fenced (even our mischievous Westie couldn’t find a way to escape!) The fire was such a nice touch, we loved having fires each day. Wood was supplied if you didn’t use the heating which was great! Coming from a city we don’t have a fire so happy to not use the heating! Kate was so responsive and really friendly. We even had some fresh eggs from her hens which was so lovely. We were thrilled to see the property in snow on our last night/day it really just rounded off our stay perfectly! If you are thinking about booking..do it! Also the shower is great! (Always something I judge! Haha) Can’t wait to rebook!❤️

Ideal location, this annex was spacious, very clean, with a great shower & bathroom and a very comfy bed! This was our second visit, and although the weather was awful , there were plenty of places to visit nearby. Being near the A1 meant it was easy to get around, yet we were never aware of traffic noise even though we like to sleep with our bedroom window open! The White Swan at the end of the road does fantastic food, so we were able to eat there a few times. We had a problem with getting the heating on, and Ian was immediately on hand to sort it.We wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Old School annex for a stay in this wonderful area.

Me and my partner absolutely loved staying here! The chapel though beautifully renovated has kept all its traditional charm. The hosts were super friendly and it’s the perfect historic base to explore the surrounding areas and Newcastle itself. We will definitely be coming back! ✨

Lovely stay at seashell cottage. Large property , Clean and tidy . Thank-you to Jen for putting up the Xmas tree and making the house look so festive . Also thank you for all the extra goodies that were left. They were unexpected but a lovely surprise. The house is situated within walking distance to the beach, the Marina and the town . Had a wonderful meal in the Harbour inn which is just down the road from the house. Plenty of unrestricted parking also on the street . Across from the house is a field which is a great bonus for the dogs. The field runs down to the dunes and onto the beach . All in all a good place to stay and ideally situated for exploring other areas in Northumberland.

We, a family of five, enjoyed wonderful four nights in the lovely House on the Hill which was exactly as described. A great plus was the tennis court, that was very well received by our children. Walking the dog was a great experience. We used the farm cottage to explore Scottish Borders, Northumberland and of course Edinburgh. We would certainly come back and highly recommend this lovely place!

What can I say... Absolutely fantastic place. You couldn't ask for anything more. Really peaceful location with fantastic views of the hills etc. We had a strange issue but this was sorted out very swiftly by Malcolm 👍 We will definitely be looking to book again and have another peaceful time just watching the world go by. How was your host Nathalie is an attentive host, phone call on arrival as we’d got a little lost! Explained all facilities and gave us tips for days out & eating out recommendations. Perfect host. How clean was lodge Despite the smell of dog when we first entered the lodge, once we got inside & unpacked everything was clean & tidy. Plenty of cleaning products should we have needed them (we had brought our own just in case) Both bathrooms were clean smelt fresh. Facilities WiFi was a lovely addition, perfect for me to play on social media uploading my photos from each day. Lovely furniture with plenty of space to relax inside & on the deck. View of lake was stunning. Everything you need in kitchen & throughout the lodge from books, games, video games. Everything has been thought of. Thankfully the gas bottle held out. I did find this part a bit stressful. Understandably, Nathalie is concerned at the cost of gas bottles & fair usage of it. Perfect stay! We have loved it. Thank you

John looks after the place well and is helpful and responsive. A good host. This is the second time we've been, and with good reason. Others have evidently visited even more frequently. We love it here. Great having the amenities, which we used every day over a Christmas week.

Fabulous little cottage. It's in a great area for nearby attractions. The Cottage itself is so pretty and contains everything you'd need. The games room, the pool and the chickens are an added bonus. We had a lovely stay.

Spacious and warm cottage in a great location for exploring beautiful Northumberland. Bellingham is a great place to stay with pubs, places to eat, co-op, butchers, etc. We loved the Hareshaw Linn walk to the waterfall, followed by a visit to Tea on The Train, which is a fun way to have lunch on an old Inter City train carriage! Kielder Observatory is only 30 minutes away for unbeatable stargazing. What a fantastic trip! We will look for Norma's cottage again on our next visit to Northumberland.

We had an amazing stay at the Orchard hideaway - it is in beautiful, rural and peaceful surroundings, and is exactly like the photos. It is private, warm and very clean, the hot tub is great and well maintained, and the host has thought of everything to make it a comfortable relaxing stay. We would love to come back and 100% recommend!
