Sanjaya is een geweldige host!! Niets is te veel om te regelen; van treinkaartjes tot tuk tuk, van hulp bij ‘ hoe werkt dit nou’ tot het brengen van een heerlijk ontbijt Hij stond meteen voor ons klaar. Kleine details maken een verblijf in deze prachtige villa net ff waardevoller. Ook het personeel is zo vriendelijk en attent. De rust, het uitzicht, de mooie kamers en de tuin maken het plaatje compleet. Helaas voor ons waren we hier maar één nacht. Mocht je een plek zoeken in Nuwara Eliya dan is deze villa zeker aan te bevelen!! Ik zeg gaan!!!!

We had an incredibly relaxed and satisfying stay at Rajiv’s place. It’s hard to believe this charming bungalow is 144 years old, thanks to Rajiv’s meticulous upkeep while preserving its colonial charm in every corner. Ideally located in Nuwara Eliya, it’s a perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind. The hospitality was exceptional—caretakers Lasantha, Pradeep, and the team went above and beyond, from welcoming us with tea to preparing amazing dinners. They even let me join in and cook, which I thoroughly enjoyed! A special thanks to Rajiv for personally staying an extra hour to greet us and give us a tour of the property before leaving. Highly recommend this beautiful place for an unforgettable getaway!

A quiet and spacious place close to the market and town center, with some pleasantly friendly (not overfriendly) dogs in the lovely garden. Food delivery is available and groceries are a short walking distance away. Internet was patchy. The washing machine was useful. Overall, a lovely bnb.

We loved Banyan Camp- a peaceful retreat with friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings, very chilled and delicious food. Highly recommended

Big and delicious breakfast! The room was clean and with a beautiful view of the mountains. The owner suggested us places to visit and organized a tuk tuk to the tea factory, little Adams Peak and to the waterfall. The only thing that could be improved is the Wi-Fi connection inside the rooms.

I had a great stay at Serendib. The host was super responsive and accommodating. Tea service was amazing. The room was simple but clean. This place is a little outside Ella but easily reachable by tuktuk or car. It is also close to Haputale. The host was able to help me get to the hotel and around the area. Overall a good experience.

This is a beautiful Villa that can accomodate around 6-7 people. I would say I had the most amazing stay there. The place is clean and tidy. It had all the amenities required. The care-taker Dias did a wonderful job in cooking and catering to our needs from time to time. Jayantha, the owner of the property was beyond helpful to make our whole trip a beautiful one.

This beautiful cottage is small, and perfect for a small family. Since Nuwera Eliya gets a bit cold at night, the cozy bed rooms and the blankets provided by Thidasala came to our rescue. His father took care of us so well, since Thidasala was not in town when we visited. We appreciate that. The view from the room of the Gregory Lake is brilliant. The wifi is good. We had a small kitchen as well. The bathroom was clean and we had hot water. This place is perfect for a small family who wants to enjoy the city, and not be in the rush. Their hospitality was amazing. 5 star from me.

We had a great time at the Sitara bungalow. Beautiful place up in the hills in a tea estate, bit away from the busy Ella. Place is very spacious and nicely decorated. This is a better alternative to staying in Ella. The staff Ghandi and Nalini took good care of us. Gandhi's polsombola was amazing. We really enjoyed the meals they prepared for us. Leon the German Shepherd was a pleasure to have arround. We highly recommend this place.

What a magical place to stay. it was a really lovely experience and the manager and staff were all very helpful and friendly. Ashan arranged a safari for us and all of that went seamlessly. We wil definitely recommend Banyan Camp to others and will come back again for a longer stay if we return to Sri Lanka

Surrounded by nature, outside of the hustle and bustle of Ella, offering a calm and quiet setting, whilst only a 20 minute walk into town or a 5 minute Tuk Tuk. The breakfast is a good start to the day and dinner can be prepared on request. The hosts are friendly and attentive, and give you the space to relax, whilst being on hand if needed. Would highly recommend.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, somewhat remote, villa with amazing surroundings. We walked down to the river, did yoga on the patio and had Ayurvedic treatments next door. The owner is a charming person with a beautiful vision for the place. He was very friendly and took time out to show us around the garden and let us try fresh herbs and spices. I would recommend to have a car so that you can get to Kandy and visit all beautiful and inspiring sights the area has to offer.

A true retreat, nestled in the mountains. think stunning views, tranquility, wild peacocks and monkeys,but not a handy location to sight see from. Map was misleading and Haputhale is an hour away. Rooms are simple with delightful antiques. Staff are very courteous but have very limited English. Food was simple and delicious Sri Lankan cuisine. Make sure you book meals in advance. They kindly arranged a delicious birthday cake for us. Beautiful gardens with architectural features everywhere, lovely views, good swimming pool but lacking any comfortable seating. A truly unique place to get away from modern life.

Located about 20 minute drive from Ella, The Hideaway is a beautiful and remote spot, and was in fact better than I had expected from the AirBnB profile and pictures. The views are the major selling point, with fantastic views throughout the location. Staff very helpful in organising trips into Ella and able to offer on site spa treatment which was excellent. Bedrooms were more comfortable than I had expected, bathrooms were quite basic but not enough to trouble me. Onsite food was very good, but we preferred to travel into Ella for evening meals. Whether you want to just hideaway for a few days, or use this as a more remote spot to access Ella - it is great.

Outstanding place, surreal views and service to match! The pictures don't do it justice but trust me, you won't be disappointed! Perfect angle for sunset over the infinity pool or even dining in room. Be careful on the road in, very rocky. Loved our stay here and already planning our next trip back! Gamini deserves a gold medal, couldn't ask for a better host!

This was by far one of the most beautiful airbnbs I have been to! The staff were incredibly helpful and the house itself was gorgeous. Thank you and I hope to be back again!

Vi hade några underbara dagar på soma land. Mr Gamage och hans fru hade inte kunnat vara mer omtänksamma och hjälpsamma. Vi tog en dagstur upp på teplantagen som hör till huset och fick uppleva fantastisk natur och fina vyer. Mr Gamage månade verkligen om att vi skulle ha en så bra resa som möjligt och att vi skulle få uppleva riktig Sri lankesisk kultur. Värdparet skjutsades oss en hel dag till Lions rock, lagade väldigt god mat, tog med oss till en tefabrik och såg personligen till att vi kom fram till vårt nästa boende som låg 7 timmar bort. Vi hade inte kunnat blivit mer omhändertagna. Utöver det kommer ni i detta boende få uppleva ett fantastiskt hus med mycket historia, en fin pool och djungeln runt hörnet. Vi ger våra varmaste rekommendationer.
