I arrived on a windy and rainy day and initially felt a bit hesitant about staying in a caravan, but this experience far exceeded my expectations! The caravan had a beautiful view, and the interior was cozy and warm, even with the rough weather outside. The internet connection was surprisingly fast and reliable, hot water was available whenever I needed it, and the gas oven worked perfectly. Everything was excellent, with just a minor issue, the towels had a slight smell of humidity. However, I always bring my own towels, so it wasn’t a problem for me. What truly stood out was the hospitality of the owner, who personally visited the caravan to check if I needed anything, which I really appreciated. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

If you want some time to yourself in unbelievably beautiful surroundings staying in lovely accommodation you need to book Granny Mary’s with Wendy. Loved the way Wendy runs her place with clear, concise instructions and friendly communication that left us to ourselves once we were in. Couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you for a wonderful week.

This was my second stay at Lynn’s place and this time I was here for my honeymoon. It is perfectly cosy, clean, and tastefully decorated with a beautiful view down to the water and mountains in the distance. Loved browsing the pamphlets about the history of Skye & sitting by the fire at night with the wind whistling outside. Truly a special and romantic place!

Absolutely stunning location on the Isle of Skye. The hamlet of Glendale is very rural with plenty of country walks right outside the door. This was a perfect location for us to spend 3 weeks over Christmas Holidays. The house was perfect for many pots of tea after long walks in the countryside. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen is a great layout as a family center. The Glendale Country Store is a short walk down the road from the house and has an amazing selection of food options for such a small place. Overall, this was the perfect location for us to spend our family 2024 Christmas Holidays. Hope to come back again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful little cottage. Like a tardis with a nice roomy, cosy interior. Lots of space for cooking and very well equipped. The cottage has a fascinating history, which we learned from Maria, information in the cottage and a mention in the Kildonian museum, which especially opened for us as it closes for the winter in October. Despite the closure of cafes and tourist sites for the winter, we still managed lots of beautiful walks with magical views, and to shop well for a restorative feast at the end of the day. Also, enjoyed a fanastic evening of Scottish music at the Ceolas centre and a trip to Barra and the cafe in the lovely community gardens there, plus stocking up on seafood at the Barratlantic shop and things to take home at the Buth Bharraigh community shop. A lovely place to stay and a great location.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Ronnie‘s cottage, it was such a historic and charming property, full of character and beautifully renovated. Ronnie was such a friendly and helpful host and we really appreciated the welcome pack on arrival. The cottage was comfortable, immaculately clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The cottage is perfectly located to explore North and South Uist, Eriskay, Barra and Vatersay and we will always remember our stay there.

Beautifully decorated and well appointed home. Great location - 5 min walk from the co-op, 15 mins walk to the centre of Castlebay. We stayed with our two young kids and their grandparents. Everyone was comfortable, there were appropriately designed bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate all ages. The house was warm throughout and features a comfy living room, big dining table - and a bright and welcoming kitchen with a nice, smaller table for breakfast. Definitely hope to stay here again and happily recommend.
