We had an amazing winter stay at this cabin! While the driveway was a bit tricky due to the winter conditions, the host was extremely responsive and gave us helpful instructions to navigate it. The cabin itself was cozy and well-equipped, making it a great place to unwind after a day of skiing. We especially loved the hot tub, it was the perfect way to relax after hitting the slopes! The space is peaceful and private, and we enjoyed exploring the walking trails and the pond. The cabin was well-stocked with everything we needed, including coffee, spices, and even a Roku TV for when we wanted to unwind indoors. Overall, it was a fantastic getaway, and would visit again!

This was our second time staying at Jamie’s cottage and it was just as wonderful as the first time. It is such a beautiful location and the cottage is warm and cozy with the amazing fireplace. It was a perfect spot to watch all the snow fall gently out the big windows, looking out over the river. So peaceful! We ended up having to leave early and it made us all so sad, especially our kids, so we’ve already mentally made plans to go back next winter. Jamie was super communicative and we really just enjoyed our time so much.

Daniel gave a thorough intro message of specifics the day of on top of what was already so clearly laid out. The property was beautiful with access to so many activity options. House is clean and spacious. We spent a lot of time on the dock which had a great selection of furniture and sun/shade options. The beach is a close walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will likely be back to enjoy the space again!

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing cottag. very clean and spotless. The place was well-equipped with lots of entertainment options and fun activities for everyone. One of the highlights for us was definitely the hot tub — it was such a relaxing experience, especially in the peaceful and beautiful environment. We’re already planning to come back, and next time we’ll definitely stay for more than two days to fully enjoy everything the cottage has to offer. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and quiet getaway. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and recharge. Thank you for such a memorable experience Shahrzad.

Beautiful location and stunning views. Lake was completely frozen when we went and we were able to walk out onto the lake. Comfy bed, provided good amenities and stunning backyard space. Currently has construction right next door so it wasn’t ideal with sleeping babies, but nothing Kris can do. Otherwise a peaceful and cozy stay.

My friends and I stayed here for a winter weekend away and it was just what we needed/wanted in a little cottage. Great location for those coming from the GTA and nice and close for those in Simcoe. Once we got there we felt right at home! The hosts had cleared the walking paths and back deck of any recent snow fall which made it nice and easy to get inside and enjoy the grounds. They went above and beyond by having the wood burning stove going for us when we checked in which made CARL that much more cozy and welcoming. Communication and instructions were very clear and detailed from start to finish which made the whole rental process easy and enjoyable. My friends and I look forward to coming back to CARL in the future!

We had a great week at Daniel’s cottage - the perfect place to relax & unwind after a week exploring the sights in Toronto. Daniel was an excellent host - no question was too much trouble, & he was very quick to respond to any queries. The cottage & amenities were exactly as described and proved to be perfect for our family - especially our two 16 & 19 year old sons, with plenty of time spent swimming, kayaking / canoeing, riding the Peloton, or playing table tennis, table football, & the X-box. The location of the cottage was perfect, with beautiful views of the river and surrounding woodland. The rear deck was the perfect spot for breakfast or BBQ’ing in the evening & watching the sunset. We ate at the cottage most days with supplies from the excellent Canoe Stores & Bakery in Washago, which had us coming back for the pecan slices on a daily basis! We ate out at the Lock42 Grill, set in a beautiful location beside the canal. All in all we would highly recommend Daniel’s cottage.

Our family had an enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend at Carol's property. The cabin was cozy and charming, the bunkie was super cute and the deck and fire pit were amazing spots to hang out at. It's a short walk to the water and a convenience store/lcbo. Our only issue was that we didn't stay long enough!

Maryam and Haldane were wonderful hosts to our group, making our stay welcoming and easy. We were given clear instructions upon arrival and departure, and they were responsive throughout the stay for any further queries.

We absolutely loved the cottage it was perfect for our week at the beach. The beach itself was just steps away and was absolutely beautiful with calm,clear water and friendly neighbours. There is a strong sense of community in the area. We really loved the outdoor shower which was a family favourite. We will defiantly come back to this cottage again and again if we can.

Stayed here while working in the area, very comfortable set up, large yard with lots of seating. Brian replys almost instantly and had all the info you will need while staying here. would definitely recommend and come back again.

We really loved our stay here. We have a 6 and 2 year old and this cottage was the perfect size for the 4 of us. I like that it’s all one level, and floors are a clean hardwood. The road in front of the cottage is so quiet and feels private. A great place to kick the ball around and jump in puddles. Hot tub and games room made this place extra special. Would love to come visit in the summer, and enjoy the beach type amenities that are just a short walk away.

Brandy was a great host. We stayed for about 5 weeks while our home was being repaired and the house had everything we needed — even a baby tub and crib for our little ones. The hosts were very proactive and awesome to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Jamie was my point of contact. She helped every step of the way. Easy going & focussed on making sure you're taken care of. Cottage was a true 'cottage' style feel. Loved being able to use the hot tub and sauna. Had a great time... excellent value here.

It was clean, well-heated, and offered the perfect escape after a day of exploring the area. Whether I was taking a morning dip or winding down in the evening, it truly enhanced the experience. The surrounding area was just as lovely—quiet, scenic, and full of charming spots to explore. Whether I was taking a walk around the cottage or venturing out to nearby attractions, there was always something new to enjoy. All in all, this cottage provided the perfect balance of relaxation, comfort, and adventure. It was a much-needed escape, and I left feeling refreshed!

Spent our Thanksgiving weekend at The Red Door Inn Cottage & we had a lovely time with our two dogs. Cottage is very clean & cozy. The Lakeview is so peaceful . Can’t wait to return in the summer! Thanks Kaitlyn !

This property is located within walking distance of Lake Simcoe and walking paths. The property though located outside the city has grocery stores, LCBO and other fast food locations in close proximity. A beautiful 3 storey property for large family and/or friends gathering with each level self-contained with a light and peaceful ambience. Overall the property was clean and all our guests and myself were pleased with the amenities. We are looking forward to using this facility again in the near future and will recommend to other family members and friends.

My friends and i enjoyed our stay. I was flabbergasted when i walked into the door. The entire house was so cozy and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this location and Amanda's listing to anyone. I would definitely book it again in the future.

We spent a couple of days up here, and it was as described. It took me back to my childhood! The classic “by the lake” cottage. And it is that. Complete with a breezeway with life jackets, a great dock, and of course the fantastic lake. We enjoyed a campfire, and the place had everything we needed, for meals and memories. It is a cottage though. You should expect that. It isn’t fancy, and Geoff doesn’t describe it that way. It is how he describes. Geoff is also very responsive, and when we had a question, came back right away. It was a nostalgic little getaway for us! We loved it.

We loved our time here! Robert was responsive and answered all of our questions. Instructions were clear. The cottage was clean. There was enough space for 6 adults to feel comfortable and have enough space, and a number of gathering spots to play games, eat together, etc. We were particularly impressed and grateful for all of the amenities--they have it all! For activities: 2 kayaks and a canoe, various-sized life jackets, even 2 fishing rods! Lots of games inside. There were plenty of towels, toiletries, fragrance-free laundry detergent with the washer/dryer. The kitchen is well-stocked (plenty of dishes and cutlery, large mixing bowls, baking pans, pots/pans, oils, sauces, condiments, spices), and we cooked many large meals. The fire pit was great, and they even have bug spray! The park down the street has a new tennis/pickle ball/basketball court. Cons: you can definitely hear the trains and highway, but we expected this going in. Would still recommend this cottage!
