Wonderful weekend stay right on the river. Easy access to the hazel river, Shenandoah national park, as well as some short trails right on the property. Spectacular views from every window and multiple decks. It’s easy to sit and read a book while listening to the peaceful sounds. This property is beautiful with everything you need to feel right at home. It felt more like a home than a rental property. It was well decorated and somewhere you actually want to spend time vs drop your stuff and head out. We enjoyed our stay, and plan to return.

We needed a quick trip to the mountains and this place was wonderful in every way. Everything was clean and the sauna exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful house, great for a family trip or a friends weekend honestly will plan to come back, great yard the prettiest views and frankly quite unless u count the train right behind the house which you don’t hear much unless ur outside. We stayed here to go snowboarding and it’s a much better idea than the actual resort in my opinion

My family loved the house! It's lovely with large rooms! Great kitchen and dining area! We loved the porch and property! So thankful to be able to take our dog too!

Shiloh Lodge was an incredible place to stay, truly feeling like a home away from home. The property was beautifully maintained, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. Inside, everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged, creating a perfect blend of coziness and luxury. From the breathtaking scenery to the fun puzzles, board games, and even a waffle maker, this spot had everything for a relaxing getaway in the heart of nature. Thank you Diana!! This was our second visit to one of Frank's many properties and his high standards are reflected in the care he takes and feels for his homes. Our stay at "Overlook" was fun, relaxing and peaceful. Some highlights: -hot tub was one of the best we've seen (large, clean, good jets and in a great location). -home layout is well thought out -kitchen is stocked -extra 1/2 bath (not pictured) in awesome mudroom/laundry area -very comfy couches, sitting areas and beds -outdoor fire pits and indoor gas fireplace -nice dock -privacy and the ability to walk all over the expansive property, including along the river (there are some steep hills giving you the great views, but nothing crazy) -the scenic views from the big windows in the house We went during a flash snowstorm in December... can't imagine how much fun a summer or spring visit would be! We would definitely book again. Great gracious hosts! Thank you.

LOVED this unique home and would visit again! Very peaceful wooded surroundings; having coffee on the deck while listening to birds was so relaxing. The sauna took a good 30 mins to "warm up" if you're going to try that. We loved the decor and vibe of the airbnb. Very peaceful. We went to Cave Ridge Winery, which I highly recommend if you like wine [they also have sweet wines & wine slushies for those who are not THAT into wine, like me!] and delicious food, as well as live music in the pavilion. The Burn Barrel is a local bar with dining in the bar and on the top floor, along with darts and pool tables. Pale Fire Brewing was a nice small brewery with indoor [with an open wall/side] and outdoor seating, picnic tables, a firepit, etc. I would hit the grocery store before you get to Basye. The Community Store near the place is limited and very expensive [it's a gas station store]. Most other restaurants are about 30 minutes away from Basye, which we expected and were fine with.

Great stay and great price for a group. Easy to get along with and explained when I had questions. Does require you to send a picture of your ID in the messenger which feels weird but otherwise no problems!

Robert's retreat is exactly what our family needed to get away from our ticky-tacky suburban lifestyle. Our dog could run free as could our kids. Yes it was colder/wetter than we hoped and being from the south put as at odds with nature but we enjoyed the wonderful wide open out doors in small sprints. From walking the hanging foot bridge over and over to teaching my girls to cast and reel their first rod. We lit a fire the first night and the negative ions had the effect i had hoped for. My kids read and relaxed for bedtime. Robert is the epitome of "hospitality " always a few minutes away via chat to answer questions and provide guidance. I did learn that the Airbnb policy indicates that it is incumbent on the renter to provide their own firewood. Robert was gracious enough to supply wood for our first night but something you should consider logistically if staying more than a day during winter. We look forward to enjoying Robert's retreat again. Clan Milligan

Wonderful!!! We have such a relaxing weekend at Peter’s place. From the moment waking in we felt relaxed and at home. Peter had jazz music playing and the fireplace ready to go for us. There was plenty of wood available and Peter even provided fire starters for us to use. Peter’s place was spotless, the bath towels were soft and smelled so good. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, we slept so well. We loved the attention to all of the decor. We appreciated the plentiful seating in the living room. The couches were so comfortable and made relaxing so easy to do in front on the fire. The attention to detail and little touches that went into making this place amazing were appreciated. There were plenty of games, books, comfy blankets and pillows. The kitchen is well stocked with a wide variety of pots, pans, baking sheets, cups, plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery. We especially loved the views from all the windows. We can’t wait to return for another visit.

The unit was very cozy and clean. The pillows were super comfortable. The bathroom and shower were a bit smaller than we expected, but overall it was a nice visit for a weekend away, close to Bryce Resort.

Perfect for a quick getaway for my friends and I! The best part was being super close to the ski slopes/snow tubing and the late check out. We originally planned on just one day of skiing and snowboarding, but got to get in a couple extra hours with the late check out and close proximity. Thanks Carissa!

Accommodations were exactly as described. The surroundings are incredible and the view from the deck is lovely. Marc’s cabin is welcoming, carefully decorated, and fully stocked for a pleasant stay. The upstairs bedroom is a little small but perfectly suitable and the bed it’s really comfortable. Mark was always responsive and very polite. Highly recommended!

This rustic cottage is situated close by the GW National Forest, fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, utensils, seasonings/oils, etc.). Our property manager gave clear instructions on check-in/check-out and was highly responsive. Loved enjoying a weekend away with good friends in Fort Valley!

What an amazing stay at Shaun's riverfront house! Family of five here with three active boys. We were extremely comfortable throughout our stay. The house is quaint, well-appointed, and super cozy. We had everything we needed: a stocked kitchen, comfy beds (the kids loved the bunk beds!), access to the Bear Cave with games, TV and a hot tub, a private and serene spot relax while taking in the amazing surroundings, and a great fire pit for roasting marshmallows for s'mores in the evening. While in a very private location, the house is minutes from restaurants, a supermarket, and a short drive to hit Skyline Drive and enter Shenandoah. Shaun's place is super special and we hope to return again!

My family and I reached out to Viktar and his team literally at the last minute and they were so accommodating from the beginning. They made sure we had everything that we needed to be comfortable during our stay. Won’t be able to write enough in this short review to express how much we enjoyed our time together there. The house was so cozy and comfortable, perfect if you like indoor/outdoor living and a serene atmosphere. It’s far away from town to feel secluded but only a short drive to nearby stores/restaurants. The children loved the game room with the life sized connect 4 and ping pong table. Everything looked just like the pictures! There is so much to do inside and outside of the house that we didn’t even bother to watch tv our entire stay….but if you choose to the theatre room is super cute! We can’t wait to return and get back in the hot tub and sauna and do some kayaking!

This little cottage was so well decorated and clean. We were visiting our daughter at JMU and this little hideaway was only 25 minutes away. We drove into town for breakfast. Really a great relaxing stay!

This place is awesome! A perfect quiet stay and chance to get away for a weekend. Lots of good hikes in the area as well - but most importantly, just relaxing!

Sara was always responsive to our queries and the place was clean and homey. The lit-up Christmas tree was a pleasant surprise. The kids felt right at home in the game rooms and the adults found everything they needed. Instructions were clear. It was a perfect home away from home for our family. Sara is a super awesome host!

We had an outstanding experience. The location is very peaceful and allowed us to unwind and enjoy the tranquility of nature.
