Sunil's place was nothing short of exotic and luxurious. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with chilled coconut water — a thoughtful and refreshing touch. The villa was immaculate and incredibly comfortable, featuring a spacious master bedroom with breathtaking ocean views, along with two other well-appointed rooms, each with its own attached bathroom. The private swimming pool was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing dip. The kitchen was decently stocked, and we were treated to a delicious breakfast of toast, omelets, and fresh fruits in the morning. One of the highlights was the villa’s beachfront location — a serene and picturesque stretch of beach where we even had the rare pleasure of spotting turtles in the waves. Overall, our stay was luxurious, peaceful, and truly memorable. Highly recommended!

We have had a fantastic week here at Cococabana, with a spacious and well-equipped house, a park-like garden and a large and elegant swimming pool. In addition, the hosts Anne-Marie and Daniel are very positive and attentive, along with their pleasant staff. The dogs that live here are friendly and contribute to a great environment. When we arrived, we received a good overview of all the practicalities, and were met with a clean and delicate house, with fresh fruit and food in the fridge. We have been traveling around Sri Lanka for over two months, and this is without a doubt the most beautiful place we have stayed in. The property is located undisturbed right by the sea, but still only a nice walk or tuktuk ride to beaches, shops and restaurants. Here we have experienced everything we could wish for. We would be happy to return on a later occasion.

A beautiful place in an awesome location with private access to a stunning beach. We loved our stay and the staff were extremely helpful and cooked great dishes both for breakfast and dinner.

Wir hatten einen wirklich wundervollen Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft ist so viel schöner, als auf den Bildern und die Lage ist einfach toll. Man hat Blick auf die Reisfelder und die verschiedenen Tiere, die dort leben. Die Villa ist so bedacht an die Umgebung angepasst gebaut, dass man mit den Tieren gemeinsam dort lebt. Im Außen- Badezimmer hat sogar ein Vogel seine Eier in einem Nest gebrütet- einfach toll! Wir haben und sehr wohl und sehr umsorgt gefühlt, Charith der Haushälter hat sich toll um uns gekümmert und seine Kochkünste sind phänomenal. Er hat uns auf Anfrage Abendessen gekocht& es war das beste Essen, dass wir in der gesamten Urlaubszeit in Sri Lanka hatten. Das Frühstück war auch himmlisch. Tagsüber- nachmittags /abends wird die Villa zusätzlich noch von einem anderen Angestellten dort überwacht, sodass wir nicht jedes mal alle Türen abschließen mussten und ganz sorglos Ausflüge machen konnten. Wir haben uns sehr sicher gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder! Vielen Dank!

Although our driver found it a little tricky to find, the instructions from Roshan, the house manager on the phone were really helpful. Roshan met us on arrival.He is a wonderful friendly young man who told us the best beaches and restaurants in the area. The house is set peacefully at the end of a small road less than 10 minutes drive from the main road in Ahangama. A Beautiful modern design,an architects delight. Private, quiet and set among trees and jungle.The peacocks and monkeys were the dawn chorus which provided a wonderful backdrop. The pool and gardens are cleaned regularly. Rooms were cleaned and beds made up on a daily basis. The house has a resident cat called Madam.She is a delight although she is making the journey to live in the UK soon.There is a small library of books and a bluetooth radio for music. Kitchen is well equipped. Towels and beach towels provided.Absolutely would love to stay again.Tuk tuk driver is available for trips down to the beach and further afield.

Wir hatten wirklich eine wundervolle Zeit in der Villa! Die Fotos werden der Realität hier nicht gerecht und es sieht wirklich noch viel schöner aus! Alles war toll und der Pool ist ein absolutes Highlight. Alle sind super nett und herzlich. Beim nächsten mal werden wir hier sicher wieder vorbeikommen. Vielen Dank und bis bald Benni ☺️

Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans cette villa ! La vue est magnifique, la piscine privative exceptionnelle : une belle petite pause au coeur de notre voyage Sri Lankais. Les gens sont charmants et le service impeccable. Très bon dîner et petit déjeuner !! Un super endroit.

Best place for a family of 4!! We stayed for 4 days and honestly didn’t wanna leave. The housekeeper Shamika was so facilitating and nice, we had a great time. The only thing to consider is that this place is a bit far from the main fort area and beaches, like 30-40 min drive cause traffic. But we used pick-me app throughout to call tuktuks and cars and didn’t face any difficulty at all. I’d love to stay here again

Visited Lucid House with my girlfriend and two other friends. Lovely place for a small group. Everything was perfect. Located away from the town but not far away either. 2-3 minute drive to Secret Beach and 5 minute drive to the Ahangama Town.

Moss Villa was more than just a home for our family for 3 weeks! It was just perfect. We had a happy time in this spacious bright clean tranquil green place with its large garden & brilliant pool. So relaxing, so private, so exotic. The well equipped kitchen is great (only a toaster is missing). It’s not too far from town (15 mins walk) & only a scooter or TukTuk ride away from the beaches. We loved the big porch, watching monkeys, peacocks, birds, fire flies & lizards… The pool gets cleaned twice a week & a weekly clean keeps the villa super tidy & the beds/towels fresh! Our 10 year old daughter loved jumping in the pool & we loved the sun loungers. It is such a quiet space in the jungle. We spent more time there than on the beach, as it was so relaxing. Highly recommend this wonderful villa! We will try & book again next year! Already missing our Moss Villa! Thank you for making our stay so unforgettable! 🙏

Catherine's place is fantastic, beyond what we expected from the photos. It was large, well furnished and had plenty of nooks for the ten of us on a family holiday to find some chill time. The bedrooms were large, air conditioned (and fans), each with their own bathroom, and very comfortable. The garden was beautiful and spacious and with outdoor pavillion and wide verandahs was perfect to watch the kids in the pool. Nimal, the chef at the house, was fabulous and could cook almost anything we wanted from full Sri Lankan banquets to burgers and pizza. He was great to work with as was house manager Sathish. We had a wonderful 10 days here and would love to do it again.

Thank you so much for your hospitality! The place was really cozy and nice, we loved the balcony surrounded by blooming trees. The hosts were incredible - friendly, responsive. For example, we wanted ab extra key and a fan for the balcony - all of our requests were completely satisfied. It was always clean and neat - cleaning every week with a change of bed linen. The place is close to the main beaches, bus stop and everything you light need. Yard is blooming and big enough for parking 4-5 bikes

Der Aufenthalt im Takamake Tree war der perfekte Start für unsere Sri Lanka Reise! Und zugleich auch nicht: denn alles andere kann eigentlich nur schlechter werden! :) Das Apartment ist wunderschön, liebevoll eingerichtet und die Lage war für uns einfach perfekt! Ja, es ist etwas abgelegen von der Hauptstraße und damit von den meisten Restaurants und Cafés. Man braucht etwa 15-20 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand und den meisten Restaurants und TukTuks sind in dieser Gegend nicht immer einfach zu bekommen. Gerade das fanden wir aber toll!! Es ist absolut ruhig und entspannt. Von der Dachterrasse aus kann man Palmhörnchen und Affen beobachten, und den Zug, der immer wieder vorbeifährt. Die Umgebung ist so schön und friedlich und die Menschen sind einfach freundlich. Gerade die Dachterrasse ist das absolute Highlight! Der Ausblick in den Dschungel ist fantastisch, die Geräusche der Natur sind so beruhigend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen Dank!

The house was spacious and the garden was perfect for outside breakfast and dinner. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and train station. The communication with Suren and his family was very good, they are lovely people living just beside the house and ready to help us whenever we needed it! For the price it’s a bargain, we definitely recommend :)

Trop cher pour ce que c’est par rapport à ce qui se fait au Sri Lanka, mais en dehors du prix c’est un logement agréable proche de la plage, avec une belle piscine.

We loved our stay here in Ahangama for 5 nights. Melanie was a wonderful host, always quick to respond to any questions or requests we had, as well as being flexible with check in/out times. The house looks exactly like the photos, very bright, modern and clean. The small pool and patio was cleaned every morning. Would advise to bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper as the monkeys on the roof can get a bit noisy some nights. Nice to be within walking distance to Kabbalana beach. Would 100% recommend staying here, it was perfect

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der White House Lodge sehr genossen. Wir haben uns schnell wie zuhause gefühlt in der grosszügigen Wohnung. Es war alles da, was wir brauchten. Die schöne grosse Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein. Janaka und seine Familie haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und wir haben interessante Gespräche geführt. Unsere beiden gleich alten Söhne haben sich angefreundet, vielleicht eine Freundschaft fürs Leben? Das Internet funktioniert sehr gut, perfekt um zwischendurch zu arbeiten. Janaka hat unsere Ferien mit Tipps für Ausflüge bereichert. Sewwandi hat sehr lecker für uns gekocht, vielen Dank dafür! Preis-Leistung ist top! Wir kommen wieder.

Дом находится в джунглях, на холме, в 800 м от прекрасного пляжа. Дорога до пляжа не тяжелая, может только до дома пешком показаться трудноватой, но для нас это не было проблемой. К тому же в случае сильного ливня, что в Шри является нормой в независимости от сезона, вода не затапливает дом - одно из главных преимуществ дома на холме. В доме есть все необходимое: 3 спальни, 3 кровати, ванная комната с горячей водой (на улице есть летний душ) на кухне газовые конфорки, холодильник, большой обеденный стол. Везде есть вентиляторы, а в одной из спален - кондиционер. Очень понравился сад - большой и утопает в растительности. Хозяева очень гостеприимные и добрые люди. Организовали нам поездку в Эллу. По приезду приготовили очень вкусный ужин. Мы обязательно сюда еще вернемся. Хозяевам желаю удачи и успеха во всем. Спасибо за чудесный дом, отдых и доброе отношение. До новых встреч.

This was a wonderful place to stay for a weekend of adventuring!

Finding a place for a long stay and remote work is not easy and I’m happy to say that Rashmika’s home checked all the boxes! It’s basic but has all the needed amenities, ACs in both bedrooms work great, and internet connection is truly reliable. Both of us were working at the same time, on the calls, and never experienced any issues. Family living next door is sweet and caring, but not intrusive. Rashmika’s mum offered us food a couple of times and it was absolutely delicious! On top of that there are at least 5 restaurants within the short walking distance (+ many more a bit further away) offering various dishes (both local and international), and you can also other on Uber eats. To keep our routine, we were going to the gym twice per week and decided to in fact walk, instead of drive, and it was the best decision! 3km one way through local paths, railways, surrounded by coconut palms, banana trees and insane greenery was a great local experience to have! 1 month was not enough!

This home, host and his family was our best thing in Weligama! Close to very calm and pretty beach, close to markets, centre, but more calm, no noises in the night, no smokes near..We stayed there for almost month and we were sad to leave. The host is super friendly, super helpful with every little thing. The best experience, better than we expected. We already miss this place and we know that we will come back next year! Would reccomend 100% to everyone!! ❤️ With all the love!

We absolutely loved the villa; it has a soul, warmth, and you can feel that it was created with love. We had a wonderful vacation here, feeling completely at home. Onali and her father surrounded us with care and attention. They helped us with any questions we had and suggested interesting ways to spend our time. Onali is an excellent cook. We visited the fish market, the weekend market, and a lobster farm, where we learned how they are caught and raised. Together, we bought some amazing fish and seafood, which Onali lovingly prepared for us. This was our third visit to Sri Lanka, but this experience allowed us to see it from a different perspective. Anna, thank you for giving us the chance to share the joy of staying in your villa, to immerse ourselves in complete tranquility, and to enjoy every single day. You have a beautiful home and a wonderful family that takes great care of it

We have just left Khouse after 3 nights as a large family of mixed cultures (12 adults and 3 young kids). Khouse was the perfect choice for us to spend relaxed quality time together. The 2 properties both with 3 bedrooms each situated close by to one another provided flexible accommodation with just the right balance of closeness and space. With the use of 2 extra beds for the kids it was perfect. The buildings are beautiful. The shadey garden is full of nature and large; affording space to safely play and the pool has a great shallow area for the pre-schoolers. The beach is lovely for exploring, digging, rock pooling (with shoes) but not for swimming, although you can snorkel early morning. The staff are friendly and accommodating, they cannot do enough for you. They have a small kitchen and only 1 chef so catering for a large group can be complicated this is not a hotel but we appreciated every effort they made even adding extra guests for a special meal. Perfect. thank you all.

Lovely hosts who were helpful throughout & greeted us, showing us around the property! Such a huge space with lots of useful amenities :) A very beautiful villa inside and outside in the private garden.. Was great that 3 of the bedrooms had A/C & the kitchen was fully equipped. Surrounding area was great and there was lots of points of interest within walking distance. Once again such lovely hosts and we will look forward to staying again as we felt right at home!
