Lovely property with everything you could need! Deborah was a fantastic host - incredibly friendly and kind! 5 mins walk to Hihi beach and town only a short 10-15min drive away this is a perfect spot to explore the area. I’ll definitely stay again if I’m back in the area. Many thanks indeed for letting me stay!

Lovely place nestled in the hills of Russell. Little drive into the main town but nice relaxed area. Place was spacious. There are a few other rooms but not really an issue. Views are great.

Lovely stay, highly recommend Lil's place. The location is awesome, so relaxing, comfortable bed, everything you need for a great stay is provided, love there is a full size fridge, BBQ, washing machine and dryer amongst other essentials. Lil is very helpful and there is plenty of information about walks, where to go and what to see. Being able to walk across the road to the water each day was a bonus and the views from the unit are forever changing as the tides come and go and the sun rises and sets. Some days there are cattle next door at the fence. I highly recommend staying and will return in the near future.

Leanne was a wonderful host; excellent with communication and very helpful. The accomodation has a stunning view and is beautifully kept - comfortable, clean and just right for our stay (a two-nighter). The location was excellent; close to the city which has wonderful restaurants - of note The Quay. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place. Enjoyed sitting on the private patio for coffee & drink. Place was clean, well organized & had everything for us. Very supportive host with local recommendations. We were welcomed in person. Hope we can visit again.

This place is gorgeous and a perfect location, easy walk to town and wharf. The place has a beautiful large deck that was excellent for relaxing with wonderful views. We had such a great time at Chloe and Ben's. It was clean and spacious, 1 min walk (if that) to the estuary and five minutes to the lovely surf beach so you could visit several times a day. It didn't need to be a big complicated affair as it was so easy to nip back to the house for food etc. The shower was awesome - very strong pressure. Everything was provided - linen, blankets, pillows, glasses, cutlery etc and all in great condition - and the kitchen was well equipped, including dishwasher and lots of good pans. Loved that we could eat outside on the deck, there was a fenced yard for the dog to run (he was in heaven), plus a trampoline, barbecue and fire pit. The view from the deck was stunning, and the overall vibe of the place was so friendly - from other holidaymakers with kids to the people working at the campsite. Would definitely book again.

My daughter and granddaughter and I had a lovely 2 night stay here. It was close to the bay so we could go for a walk and even a swim.

We had a fantastic time at Gordons beautiful place. We got greeted with a very warm and personal welcome and it was very easy to communicate with Gordon. The house is perfect for children, but even us adults had fun with all the different games. The location is perfect, we prepared a BBQ and watched a stunning sunset from the terrace. The beach is one of the most beautiful ones I have seen. I can highly recommend the house

We spent a night at Merrill’s place on our road trip. The place was very easy to find just off the main road north. Merrill met us at check in a showed us around the house. We were given breakfast provisions for the next morning which was very nice and also some local fruit to try. The property has 2 bedrooms and a combined living room and kitchen with everything you need. The Ruakaka beach is beautiful just about 15 min walk or 3 min drive away. We would stay again.

Sensational Stay … highly recommended … Douglas was a superb host going out of his way to enhance the experience through the offer of a “Kiwi Spotting” adventure… had both beaches and bush walks close by … definitely would stay again.

Sarah was great at communicating very understanding and made checking in and out a breeze even accomodating when we were not going to be checked out in time made it very stressfree for us. We had yummy eggs in the fridge when we got there and everything you could need for a weekend away. Thank you Sarah for making our stay very easy and stress-free. Would definitely recommend this place for your next stay in Whangarei :)

Great place on northern West Coast. Beach path right from garden. Beautiful sunsets. Good as a destination itself or as a stop when going up or down the coast. Spacious comfortable homely and clean. Good WiFi, washing machine and even a garage. We had a great night here.

My mum lives in Ruakaka so Tony and Nora’s is a great spot for us to stay. Comfy bed, good shower, very private and great views. If you are couple we highly recommend this place.

Sehr grosszügige Unterkunft. Gavin hat uns super Empfehlungen gegeben, zb eine Insel zu besuchen. Wir haben dort einen wunderbaren Tag erlebt. Sehr schöner Wanderweg der Küste entlang nach Paihia. Restaurant nebenan sehr gut. Sehr zu empfehlen das JFC Restaurant in Paihia.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.
