We selected this listing among many others in the nearby area, and it did not let us down. Beautiful location, spacious house, and necessary amenities. Only downside was that the hot tub struggled to get to its high temps during the second half of our stay. Other than that, this is a perfect option if you’re considering a stay near Pagosa Springs.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed Hummingbird at Elk Point Lodge. Nolan and Olive were easy to work with and communicated everything clearly. They were responsive to all needs. The cabin was very clean, as well as the hot tub. It’s a really beautiful and peaceful location with great amenities. Will do again soon!

I cannot say enough great things about this place. I've stayed at numerous places in Colorado over my lifetime, and this one has to be the best. The location was ideal for us, and the place was fantastic. The views, the huge deck with an amazing hot tub, the spacious living area with enough seating for all 6 of us (and then some), the most amazingly stocked kitchen of any rental - the list goes on and on. The entire host team responded quickly and gave us local recommendations, as well. My father-in-law is already talking about bringing the grandkids next year! My dad told me several times a day what a great find I made. We all loved it so much and can't wait to return! Thanks for a great week!

The cabin is as described in the information. Possibly just a tad smaller than we expected, but not disappointing. The hot tub was nice and clean and heated up fast. Plenty of firewood, but the entirely needed unless it’s really cold. However it is always nice to have a fire. There are tons of knives. This place has more cooking knives than any place I’ve been. We cooked all our meals out of the cabin with general cooking tools. I would go back again. Oh. The only heads up would be that the upstairs bed is a very small queen and seemed more like a twin.

Our family of four truly enjoyed our time at Joe’s place. We could not have asked for a better place to come back to after a day of skiing. The house had absolutely everything that we needed, was clean, and very comfortable.

This was the perfect spot! It was 10 min away from purgatory ski resort and 30 min away from Durango for shopping! My family absolutely loved it and would stay again. The only note I have is if you are traveling with a baby do not sleep on the very bottom floor. Due to the house being a cabin it was very creaky, so you can hear everyone above you!

Small cabin with two beds, a TV that is just big enough and a 1 minute drive to Purgatory. This place is fantastic for small groups and those who want to ski Purg without a long drive.

An absolute great find. Ambiance of the property is great, well stocked kitchen, the property was clean, would highly recommend.

The drive from downtown Durango wasn't too long and offered stunning views. Our family had ample space, and the backyard was perfect for our two dogs. Having a washer and dryer was incredibly convenient. The owners responded promptly to our inquiries.

This is a very rustic gem away from everything, I absolutely loved how peaceful and quiet it was and I’ve never seen so many stars at night in my life! Elena was incredibly friendly and the hospitality was phenomenal!

DOG FRIENDLY! This was my main element that I was looking for in an Airbnb location and this was it! Not only did Ellen And Steve advertise their dog friendly property but they greeted us with open arms upon arrival and it was like a home away from home. Their property is tucked away in the mountains which provided us privacy and we were only a couple of minutes away from the main part of Durango. They had an amazing walking trail at their home and the stay was so comfy and cozy. We loved our stay so much we are already planning on when we'll be returning.

Great location, beautiful grounds would love to stay again

Jason’s place was beautiful and felt fairly secluded and was the perfect place for a peaceful getaway even though it was very close to downtown Durango and any stores you may need! My dog loved exploring the property, and I loved stargazing at night! For any other remote workers - the WiFi is not sufficient to get work done, if you have any teams/google meets/zoom calls I would recommend going to town since there is also no service for hot spot. It seemed sufficient to have one device streaming a TV show with limited buffering as well as WiFi calls/texting but not much else!

My husband and I had so much fun last year at Amy's place, we had to come back! We love winter activities, so if you are looking for a private little getaway to do some hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, or XC skiing, this is the place for you! I also love that this little cabin, although remote, has all the amenities you need to be comfortable just as if you were home. I have a very demanding job which requires me to work even on vacation, so I really appreciated the fast and reliable WiFi so I could check email and stay plugged in. The furnished kitchen came with all the necessary cooking essentials and appliances to make our trip easy. All we had to bring was a cooler of food. The cabin even comes furnished with a TV, washer and dryer, so you can pack light! Amy has always done a great job communicating with us and has been so helpful keeping us apprised of the snow report leading up to our trip. This is a must-visit location! We'll be coming back!

We love staying here! we have been several times in the summer but this was our first winter trip. absolutely beautiful! They let us use some of their ice skates so my daughter and I could skate on the lake and let my husband borrow some bait for his ice fishing. Very generous and friendly! we will definitely be back again and again!

The cabin is really nice and a lot bigger than expected. Location was perfect and amazing backyard. Little light pollution made for great star gazing.

What a cozy cabin! My husband and I absolutely loved the peace and quiet. The views were amazing and never ending! We took a stroll up just up the road and the views just get more beautiful. We can’t wait to come back!

This gem of a cabin was perfect for my husband and I to get away for relaxation and being refreshed. Very comfortable, in beautiful surroundings, quiet, well designed and supplied, yet close enough to be able to go see other places nearby (like Mancos and Dolores). The weather cooperated for a mid-July stay. Chelsea did a fantastic job of preparing the cabin and being available for any questions with quick responses. We would definitely stay again and would recommend for groups of 1-4 to choose.

We had great time staying at this Durango home. We golfed, swam, hiked and rode bikes in Durango area. It’s a beautiful and well stocked place.

i want to start off by saying i absolutely loved the cabin. it is so cute and very clean. it is in a beautiful place with a huge lake in the backyard. barney was very polite and responded to us in a timely manner. we felt very comfortable with our stay. i have nothing but good words and feelings about this stay. thank you!!

We had a blast, felt like a second home. The place was so cozy and the kids had a blast! What a dream weekend away from the busyness of life.

The house is in a beautiful area. Not secluded but felt private. The neighborhood did not have paved roads (makes for dusty vehicle), but the roads were well maintained in this hilly area. (that's not always the case). The house was very clean, comfortable and well equipped (especially the kitchen). The location was great for us as we wanted to visit both Pagosa Springs and Durango. So, it was a nice middle point. I would stay here again if I go back to beautiful Colorado!
