We had an amazing stay! The house was perfect for the 3 of us. Our trip included a lot of walking, shopping, restaurants, and an enjoyable hot tub to relax in after our adventures.

The house was perfect. You couldn’t ask for a better location. It is on a corner just a few blocks from downtown, great food, various shops, Crystal Bridges, and biking trails. The hosts were great. This is the second time we have stayed at one of their places. The house is very spacious and with the big windows, there is lots of sunlight during the day. She has a place to store bikes in the fenced in backyard, and a bike washing station in the front. I would highly recommend staying here.

The cottage was nice and clean and tidy when we got there. There was everything we needed and more. I would definitely book a stay here again!

We come here once a year. We always love this place. We have never had an issue. Great private hot tub. Great location that is close enough to all the action will still maintaining some privacy. We will be back next year for sure.

This was a beautiful property that was very private and easy to unwind. Kitchen was well equipped, grill and hot tub were nice amenities, and location was perfect. There were some mentions of concern with the drive in other posts. We had a small crossover vehicle, it had been raining and we had no issue getting to this property. It appeared the gravel drive had been recently graded. We had a fantastic weekend. We would highly recommend this property.

The cottage had something for everyone. If you wanted to watch the sunset there was porch for that. If you wanted to watch the sunrise, there was a porch for it. There was a hot tub for use, however, I was too busy with grandkids that I didn't get to enjoy that amenity. The cottage was decorated beautifully and well stocked. Great place to sit back and to relax. The beds were super comfy. It was a perfect location just a few miles away from my grandchildren, and short drive to town. I enjoyed having my morning coffee and watching the cows and the farm cats roaming around.

Had an amazing stay at Lisa and Greg’s place. Lisa was so kind and friendly as were her 4 dogs. We hiked around the area and Lisa gave us pointers on which trails to hit. The place was very nice and clean and we were overall satisfied with our trip. The only thing (and it’s so minor) is that the instructions for getting there weren’t updated as the doors are now blue and in the instructions it says yellow doors. So arriving at night and expecting yellow doors had us driving around the property and into someone else’s yard … oops lol. But again we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back!! Thank you Lisa for being so amazing 😊

I needed a place to escape locally for a min. Found this little piece of heaven about 20 mins away and could honestly live there. Katie was super friendly and helpful, very accommodating. I have zero complaints, you’ll love the peace and quiet. The place is cute and quaint, very nicely redone. I’ll definitely consider this place again if I ever need to escape again :) Thank you, Katie

The house is a beautiful older house with very comfortable furniture including the beds. House was spotless and had everything that was needed for our stay. Our dog Bristol loved the fenced yard and we felt comfortable leaving her out at any time. Iris and Sam were excellent hosts and very responsive when we needed. We will definitely stay with them again when we return to gentry.

Charming, cozy and convenient! Perfect for a week long stay. Loved the house and learning about its history. Hosts were beyond helpful. We traveled with our preschooler. Highly recommended for small families!

The home is beautiful and wonderfully situated near the city. The home is charming and the hostess is simply the best. Will definitely be coming again soon.

This little cottage is as described. it is in a small community walking distance from the water with kayaks making it really fun for those that like water sports. there are also if you rental places for boats close by, and there was dogwood canyon about 8 to 10 minutes away. my kids enjoyed the ability to watch some of their shows as there was great internet connection and the services available to watch Netflix. we will definitely stay there again

Almost perfect! Just wish there were some blinds/curtains in the living room area. The oven had some leftover mess probably from previous renters, so it got pretty smoky when we tried to use it. The gas stove also didn’t work properly, but all we had to do was light it with the lighter provided to turn it on. Just a couple small issues that would make the place perfect if fixed. Gorgeous place, exactly as described. The morning after we got there, when we hadnt opened the doors aside from just entering, there were two wasps in the house. We messaged the host, who said its never been a problem before. His suggestion was to try to catch them with a towel, or to check the basement for bug spray. The ground floor is an open concept, and the windows in the living area dont open, so it’s not like we could just let them out or close our doors. To be honest I had expected he would send someone to help, but maybe thats expecting too much. Ultimately we left without incident, hence the 5 stars, but it wasn’t the best host interaction we’ve had.

Great location with stylish and cozy design for the house. It’s on the smaller side but the layout is nice for the space and it’s very functional. You will be comfortable and inspired by the great books around and record player with many records to play. Be on the lookout for deer around the house, they’re all around! I do recommend.

We had the best time with our 3 children at Chelsea’s place! Beautiful view and perfect for dinners on the deck!

Barb’s place is likely the nicest we have stayed in while visiting Eureka and we visit often. The beds were super comfortable, the bathtubs were an added bonus, we enjoyed the gardens and walking path behind the house. There is ample parking (a rarity in Eureka) and an easy walk to the Crescent and Ermilios. We needed a marker during our stay and Barb arranged to have someone drop it by very quickly. Barb went above and beyond before our stay sending multiple emails with suggestions of things to do-which helped us make decisions for activities during our stay. The binder inside the house offered information on Eureka we didn’t know about previously and we have been to Eureka often! Barb was so kind communicating with us about every detail, gave us the best tips of egg hunts (we stayed Easter weekend) and seemed like a good friend in the way she spoke with us. She takes pride in her place and genuinely cares about your experience. We can’t wait to stay at Barb’s place again! Thank you!

Nice to be able to stay in this area again. This place was just what we needed for the weekend for the two of us. Very clean and comfortable. Owners were very responsive and friendly. Very affordable. Highly recommended.

What a charming place! My family spent a few days at the Rockford Grange Cottage for Thanksgiving, we all and loved our experience! Samantha was responsive and accommodating. The house is quite old with a few old house problems, but it was very clean, quiet, and spacious — with so much character. The views, the space, and the outdoor exploration cannot be beat. It was the perfect place to get away, unplug, and connect. We plan to book again for the warmer months.

Was in a really great area and had lots of fun. Perfect place to stay for a little weekend vacation!
