Came in October. The instructions on how to find the A frame cabin were clear. It was a bit tricky to find but thankfully Jen’s instructions led us straight there without getting lost. Check in was super easy as we arrived just as it was getting dark. We woke to a beautiful vista right on the water. Everything around the cabin was serene and quiet. No loud neighbor or kids in the vicinity. Very private with own beach and kayaking included. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals at home. Bedding was supplied, mattresses were very firm but comfortable. Cabin itself was extremely spacious with huge windows and large back deck. Dining table inside and outside. Even a screened dining area close to the water in addition. Sandy area for a game of horseshoes, fire pit, new BBQ with utensils and plenty of parking. We had a wonderful peaceful experience and hoping to come back when the water is a bit warmer. Price was one of the best on the island for this season! Thank you Jen!

Micheal and Rex were great hosts. We quite enjoyed every bit of our stay. The property is well kept, the lake access through a trail down their property is a pebble beach and great for a dip or swim in the lake. They provided some good recommendations for spots to hit and things to do nearby. They provided us with great breakfast with almost everything grown or produced on their land. The view from the breakfast spot was amazing. To top off the trip, we were lucky enough to have met an artist after complimenting the great artwork in the cabin and bought a few pieces of art from them as well.

I had an incredible experience staying at this Airbnb! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The host was extremely responsive and accommodating, making check-in and communication seamless. The location was perfect—close to great restaurants, and attractions.. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like fresh linens, a well-stocked kitchen, and local recommendations. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay!

Our 2nd visit within a month, Needless to say we will be returning again! It’s everything we need & more, it will be our vacation spot when we stay on the island. Keith, who maintains the house.. such a great guy, always making us feel right at home. See yous soon! :)

Stayed here with my staff for Massey Fair. House was fantastic in the heart of Massey. Very clean and lots of room. Everyone was comfortable and enjoyed their stay!

What a treat to have so much privacy, complete with modern amenities in an area that is dominated by older, traditional cottages. French River is a gem of a place and how lucky we were to enjoy it in David's modern 'bunkie'. We were blessed to have a clear and calm night on Oct.10th for peak Northern Lights show. Mornings were spent visiting a nearby beaver den by kayak or canoe. Our next visit back will include fishing which is what the area is known for. Would love to come back during the summer season to enjoy water sports and late nights on the covered porch. Thank you Dave and your crew for making our stay enjoyable.

Love the place. Beautiful, clean, calm and comfy. I went there eith my wife, toddler, and another family of 4, and a friend. Everyone enjoyed this cottage stay. For most of us, this is our first time staying at a cottage. We're lucky our first was such a great one. Susan and Peter were such great hosts. He even offered us to get in the boat showed us around islands and river. We went all the way to Recollet Falls. We were also lucky enough to see up close the fox that visits the cottage almost morning. The boat ride and the fox were the best moments of the whole stay for sure. Recommended 100%

Great spot right on Murdoch River. Our first time to the area was a good one and topped off the hospitality and well organized/prepped cabin at Great Escapes. We would visit again.
