I love Maine's working waterfront and even though my stay was in the off season there was a wonderful glimpse into our fishing economy and the hard work it takes to keep it happening. The quality of light in the unit was amazing, and viewing the moon across the water was stunning. Easy to access all that the midcoast has to offer within an easy ride, to Rockland and Damariscotta and Boothbay and Wiscasset -- my favorite spots. Beautiful places nearby to hike and explore. Onsite staff people Debbie and Blair were wonderful; when I had an issue with the internet -- it was fixed quickly. Unit was well equipped for a person who loves to cook. Also having a bathtub in a waterfront apartment was a plus since many don't have them. Clean, comfortable, safe-feeling -- all one could want in a Maine coastal vacation. Wish I could have stayed longer but instead I'll just plan to go back again.

As described! Located right behind Farnsworth Museum and walking distance to Main St. Had everything we needed in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Rosemary was very prompt in responding to questions. We had total privacy with easy parking. Nice upper deck for breakfast and a sitting area in the yard below. Main bed was super comfy. There’s a daybed in living room. (However, the daybed mattress may not be comfy for an adult.)

We had a wonderful stay. Pat was very responsive and helpful, the place was comfortable, quiet and perfectly located. It was easy to come and go and the island is idyllic. We loved our first visit to Maine!

Great spot in Owl's Head. Super quiet and has a nice dedicated parking spot. Blue door makes it easy to spot, but be aware because Google maps seems to want to take you past the house. The kitchen was well stocked and the living space is comfortable. Would love to have an ottoman for the chairs (I'm a little short) but no real complaints. You can hear the ocean sometimes and the neighbors are friendly. Had a great stay.

Julie is a wonderful host, extremely helpful and catered to all our needs. The place itself is very cozy, modern and very clean! I would highly recommend this place to guests looking to stay in Maine!

Our stay at The Bee Keepers Cottage was amazing. The property met our needs perfectly and it was super cute and cozy. The host was very responsive and communicative. And for any star gazers out there, the sky on a clear night is mesmerizing.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! The location was amazing. Right off Main Street and totally walkable to anything in bar harbor with a parking space! It was on the right side of bar harbor to get to Acadia within 5 minutes. We loved all of the restaurants close by and the access to the park. The place was so comfortable and cozy! Beautifully decorated and warm after cold hikes in the park. We did not hear any noise at all from the hospital which is tiny compared to the hospitals in Virginia. I didn’t even notice it was there. Brianne was so kind and responsive and recommended lots of good hiking and dining options. I can’t wait to come back here again! If I could give this home 6 stars I would and I am usually a picky reviewer! We will definitely be back to the same house if we come back to Bar Harbor, which I hope we do! It’s a great base for exploring Acadia! The kitchen was well stocked and the bedroom was very comfortable. Thanks so much for sharing with us!

We enjoyed our stay at Ashleys's home. It is a beautiful, peaceful and lovely location, with great proximity to Acadia National Park, Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Institute. Our family enjoyed watching the lobster boats in the morning and noodling around the peninsula. It was a very comfortable space, with a well stocked kitchen and dining area.

Jennifer was responsive and helpful. The house is great. It is the most well furnished home (I want that kitchen) we have rented, and my girlfriend group and I get away twice a year. Beautiful ocean view from two bedrooms, but easy walk to the beach. Cool to see two lighthouses in the distance and the gorgeous moon shining on the water. Very interesting shoreline, and also a nice walk to Fort Popham. Lots of room in this very comfortable air b and b, and that rain shower water spout in the downstairs bathroom is amazing. This nearby area is quintessential Maine.

The house is stunning. I stayed here for a work trip. The location and the ambience were perfect to get my work done. I wish I had more time to explore the beach area. But my booking coincided with a lovely snow fall. The house is very cozy. The hosts were very responsive to all of my questions. The interior decor is lovely. And I slept really well on the master bedroom bed. I’d love to know the brand the mattress is. Thank you so much. I look forward to returning on a leisure trip when the weather is warmer. But the snow is absolutely lovely.

You will fall in love with the charm of this home just as we did! The view from the screen porch and access to the water and Island were fantastic for our teen boys and gal to explore. The adults loved enjoying sunset with a drink from the island rocks. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and well stocked. We especially appreciated the quality towels and bed linens. If we return to Maine we would absolutely stay at this home again.

This was a gorgeous stay with a great location for going to Acadia/Bar Harbor, while still maintaining privacy. I spent several hours during my one night stay admiring the design of the home (interior and architectural). I spent the night on the living room couch with a solid view of the bottom floor and with several large windows facing me, yet I still felt completely comfortable and that I wouldn't be disturbed or intruded upon. I was plenty warm the entire stay with the gas heater barely on. While there are some small details of the home that could use some touching up, *none of it* was a problem and still left plenty to love. I enjoyed sitting on the cut logs outside and listening to the crows and loons in the early morning (~6am). Everything felt as though it was placed with great intent and consideration, but still welcoming enough to get comfortable without worrying about ruining or disrupting it all. I would love to stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

This is a beautiful home located in the woods on a bay! If you don't mind being away from towns and crowds, this is the place. The location was relaxing and the views are spectacular. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking. We packed picnic lunches and took off each day to explore Acadia National Park. We came home each night and cooked dinners. The grill was clean and ready to use. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the house. We would definitely love to come back in the future.

The vacation home was so enjoyable, we left a first ever, entry in your "Guest Book." Located on the water, the home had an outdoor porch which was great for viewing the lake in the early morning hours and stargazing at night. Beautiful dock and beach area with kayaks, all the water toys were available. The interior of the home was well appointed and had everything we needed to make the stay an enjoyable one. Looking forward to returning someday!

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property, situated right on a beautiful pond. The location was absolutely perfect, providing a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to Acadia National Park. We spent our days kayaking on the pond, hiking, soaking in the stunning views and enjoying the tranquility of the water. The host was incredibly helpful and communicative, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. They provided great recommendations and tips. Overall, it was an amazing stay and we hope to return again one day! I highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

What a beautiful location and house. There’s nothing better than sitting in the living room or front porch and being able to see the Belfast Bay. The house is very clean and neat. Beds are comfortable, shower is very hot. Don’t miss the sunrise in the mornings. Overall this is one of our favorite places we have stayed in Belfast.

BEAUTIFUL landscape directly on a lake with access to fishing poles, kayaks, and canoes, we felt like we didn’t need to leave the property at all. Perfect location to visit Acadia and near by towns. I wish we could have stayed for twice as long. The condo itself seems to be brand new! The beds were comfortable and the decorations and big screen tv were a nice touch. We spent hours on the dock and in the lake (kayaks). Cannot wait to return to this slice of heaven.
