Loved Maarten’s boat. Was a great base for exploring Ghent and a 10-15 minute walk from lots of restaurants and the old town. Very close to T4 tram stop. We loved the cosy boat and walking the gangplank each day. Breakfast in a hamper at the door when we woke up! Maarten is an excellent host and very quick to respond.

Wir waren eine Gruppe von 9 Personen. Der Aufenthalt auf dem Schiff war etwas besonders. Jeder von uns hatte eine eigene Kajüte und somit genügend Platz für sich. Die Toiletten und Duschen mit heißen Wasser waren sehr gut. Das Boot war gemütlich, so dass wir die Abende dort verbracht haben. Die Küche bot genügend Utensilien, um für alle zu kochen. Das Boot liegt direkt am MAS. In der Innenstadt ist man in wenigen Gehminuten. Auch einen Supermarkt erreicht man zügig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Une expérience très sympathique. L’hôte a été très accueillant et a su nous conseiller sur les activités / restaurants à proximité. La possibilité de faire des activités grâce au matériel proposé sur place était également appréciable. Le cadre est paisible, sympathique et bien localisé. Une très belle expérience que je recommande vivement !

Nous avons passé trois nuits à quatre dans l'habitacle du capitaine de la péniche Lucie. C'est une expérience ! Un cocon où il fait bon se retrouver au chaud après avoir visiter les marchés de Noël de Gand et de Bruges (desservis rapidement par l'autoroute). Nous avons apprécié pourvoir faire notre petit déjeuner et notre diner car la cuisine est très bien équipée. Les chambres sont étroites mais c'est normal, nous sommes sur un bateau ! Le matin la vue sur le canal est très agréable avec le levé du soleil sur l'eau et l'herbe gelée ! La literie est très confortable et la salle de douche fonctionnelle. Nous avons tous aimés cette expérience, d'autant plus que les hôtes sont très accueillants et présents sur le bateau. Nous recommandons cet hébergement aux personnes qui aiment l'insolite avec du confort !

We had a wonderful night on the boat! Everything we needed was available, and the place was very comfortable and well-organized. The host was kind and welcoming — he even left us some chocolates upon arrival, which was such a sweet touch. Everything was clean and tidy. I definitely recommend this experience!

We have just spent an amazing 5 days on the Aloha. She is a beautiful boat with a beautiful history. What an experience to be on such a historic vessel and it was lovely to read about her return to Liege in the newspaper reports displayed in the kitchen. We loved the quirkiness of the vessel, the way she creaked and gently rocked when other boats passed by, we found it very soothly and not at all sickly (which was a worry). We also loved the original features dotted around the boat, the ship's wheel and navigation instruments. The decor was very tasteful and modern but respectful of the age of the boat. The accommodation itself was excellent, the beds were clean and comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked and the bathrooms immaculate. The showers were great and a bath was a little luxury that you wouldn't normally expect on a boat! The Aloha is not a typical Air BnB experience, but definitely one worth doing in your lives. We had an absolutely fantastic time and would definitely return.

Dit verblijf is een hele laagdrempelige manier om meer te leren over zeilboten! Erwin is een sympathieke man die met veel plezier al onze vragen beantwoordde. Ik raad het sowieso aan om op zeiltocht want dat was een leuke ervaring. Als je met de fiets komt ben je ook gemakkelijk in en uit de haven om erop uit te trekken. Wij bleven nu maar 1 nachtje, maar ik zou meerdere nachten ook leuk vinden om het bootleven eens echt te voelen. Al bij al: wij hebben een heel leuk weekend gehad!

Une très belle découverte, la péniche est situé à proximité du centre, tout ce fait à pied et nous pouvons nous garer devant. La vu est impressionnante et l’hôte est super réactif. Merci beaucoup.
