Lori’s is exactly what we need while visiting family over a holiday. She is very gracious to host us over Thanksgiving as the last occupants of the year. Even during a snow storm, her place is cosy and beautiful. This is our second year coming, and we love it every time. We would recommend it for those looking for a charming getaway from busy life. Very nice of a place! Had a great time.

We had a great late October stay for our honeymoon. The cabin was definitely warm enough for the 30 degree temperatures. Hot tub was amazing, that was clean as well. The outdoor kitchen was very convenient, even when it rains the kitchen is still covered. We had an amazing stay, will be visiting again!

My husband and I came back to Maine to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, this cabin was the absolute most perfect place to do so! The photos are so beautiful, but arriving and walking into this space was unmatched! You can tell how much attention and intention is put into this cabin. I have never felt more relaxed, safe, and comfortable in an Airbnb before. I’m a bit of a germ freak and can’t sleep in most beds that aren’t my own but that wasn’t even close to being the case here! The space is SO clean, including the bathroom! For a detached space I cannot believe how cozy and clean it felt. Our fur baby came with us, she’s a medium sized dog, the space was so accommodating for her! There were treats (which she loved) and food bowls for her! The property is the perfect size to allow your fur baby to stretch their legs too! Indie especially loved the adult bean bag chair, we could not keep her off! We will 100% be coming back, so grateful for our stay. Thank you for having us!

We had a wonderful time at Misty’s cottage! The property was so peaceful and private - you’ll have a great time even when visiting during the off-season. The cottage itself was homey, clean, and decorated so nicely. Misty was also proactive in making sure we made it inside okay upon our arrival - she is a welcoming and attentive host. We would definitely stay here again!

The location is magical . Loved waking up and seeing the scenery. The trail was really well maintained given all the snow. We've had a wonderful hike to the pond seeing only nature, not one person on the trail. It was fun stopping and trying to identify all kinds of animal tracks along the path. We are thinking of coming back in the spring or summer. Thank you for muffins Toby and Peter!!!

We’ve had the pleasure to rent the Hygge Hut multiple times as a relaxing getaway from our busy schedules. It never disappoints! The stay has everything you need to feel comfortable and right at home. Well stocked kitchen for you to cook a delicious breakfast or dinner, clean comfy living room (no tv which we love), beautiful views of the mountains and a hot tub for you to relax in! The hosts have always been extremely welcoming and communicative. We are very thankful for our time away and would highly recommend this stay to anyone who needs a reset!

What a great experience to return for a stay as the former owner! Thank you, Doug and staff, for maintaining this cabin in such pristine condition. It felt like I walked out the door yesterday even though it’s been more than three years. A true slice of heaven on earth! I hope to return for another stay very soon!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It had everything we needed. It was clean and quiet. We liked the proximity to snowmobile trails, the pellet stove, and the TV options. Thanks and we will be back.

I loved this place! Enjoying coffee and meals outside on the deck overlooking the lake and beautiful surroundings of nature. I felt safe there and was a charming neighborhood. I loved that there were boats to use and a dock to watch sunset an autumn harvest moon over lake! Jess was the perfect host and made sure everything was great when I arrived. She was very helpful when I had any questions and I am looking so forward to going back there again! Thank you Jess for sharing this wonderful place!!!

Moose Tracks Cabin was incredible! Such a beautiful house surrounded by nature, yet still close driving to get into town. The house was used as homebase for a weekend full of skiing, snowboarding and adventuring. We took full advantage of the ping pong table and dart board in the basement! What an amazing home to be in for a wonderful extended getaway weekend with family. We will definitely be back!!!

My husband and I had a great 3-night stay at Liz’s cabin. It was an enchanting place to spend a rainy long weekend with all the warmth and coziness that one would want from a cabin in the woods. As others have noted, the location is superbly private and relaxing! We loved sitting by the fire, having our morning coffee on the enclosed porch and walking the pond-side trails right outside the front door. The cabin makes for a great jumping-off point, too, for lots of great things to explore in the midcoast including Odd Ale Wives, Oxbow Brewing and some great eats in Damariscotta. We really enjoyed our time. Liz and her husband were awesome hosts.

This was our second stay at the Sugar Shack as it’s a great spot when skiing Sugarloaf. I really appreciate the well seasoned cast iron pans instead of using scratched up and flaking nonstick ones found at most Airbnbs. There are plenty of hooks to hang your ski gear. It’s also one of the few we’ve rented where I didn’t have to wash the glasses after pulling them out of the cabinet. Clearly the cleaner is very conscientious. We will definitely book again when returning to the area.

We have rented this adorable log cabin many times and look forward to our next visit! The host is very responsive and friendly and we can not recommend this lovely stay enough.

Hope and Lloyd’s cottage was a wonderful getaway - a beautiful place to relax and unwind. We loved being able to walk out the door and enjoy peaceful long walks with our dog along the many trails - we especially appreciated the hand drawn map of the area as our guide. Can’t wait to return and explore more!

A great place to stay!!! Communication back and forth couldn’t be any better!!!! Very accommodating!!!! The only issue we had was having a 8.5 x 30 snowmobile trailer the driveway and parking area was a little tight but we made it work. Great host and a nice little cabin!!! Would definitely recommend it for snowmobiling.

Came for the Fall colors; left in love with the place! Small but delightful. Cluttered in the most fantastical way. Nestled in paradise. Bonnie is so nice and friendly! Pay attention to the fact that the toilet is not attached to house. Short walk to privet and very clean!

If you are looking for a perfect Waldenesque retreat for a few days THIS IS IT. Perfect for those who appreciate the beautiful quiet of life on a marine estuary, who are looking to camp-glamp without intrusion, yet also not ready for a truly remote location (you can get to the charming town of Bath in 15 minutes!). I sincerely hope to return.

We had a very restful three days at Rod’s lovely cabin. This is a fantastic place to stay for those seeking to experience the midcoast area for what it is (without all the tourist traps and hustle and bustle that you’ll find in Bar Harbor area). Don’t sleep on this gem!

Chris’s place was great for our weekend stay. Close to Bethel and Black Mountain. Perfect for two people. Clean, comfortable bed, and very peaceful.

We love Katharine’s cabin! This is our second year and we plan to make it a tradition. It’s just a great location, and the cabin makes you feel right at home. It’s easy to disconnect and just take Boothsbay in! Thank you for having us!
