Wonderful place to stay! Beautiful scenery and cozy cabin. We had all the amenities we needed. The host was friendly, helpful and always responsive. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend

We loooved this cabin! Even being next to the house, you wouldn’t know it. It was nice and quiet! I told her this but I need you all to know too: there was a plethora of ice and plenty of towels, two things that may seem small but are very much appreciated!

We went there for our anniversary and had the best time! The view was incredible and we were able to enjoy nature in comfort. The hot tub was everything!

We had a large group and the place was perfect for what we needed! Look forward to visiting again next time we are in Steelville to float!

The cabin looked brand new! Beautiful scenery! Only complaint is the extremely uncomfortable pull out bed. This thing is NOT intended to be slept on. My husband tried it the first night and my 9 year old daughter the second. They could feel every spring and the bars that ran across. Just wanted to emphasize that there is only one suitable bed. Otherwise everything is as described.

The cabin was cozy and very clean. It is located in a beautiful rural area of rolling hills, and it is close to St Francois State Park, where we hiked among the bluebells.

Fantastic location! We had a peaceful 4 night stay at this cozy mountaintop cabin. Spotless and supurbly decorated! The setting was incredibly tranquil, perfect for a getaway from the grind of daily life. We loved sipping our morning coffee on the deck while planning our daily hiking adventures to some of the beautiful nearby state parks. The hosts were friendly and communicative, making check-in/check-out a breeze.

The perfect getaway and extremely pet friendly. Will be back again (:

We traveled here for our spring break and had a wonderful time! Spent time at the river which was super close and enjoyed how peaceful our experience was!

I’m glad we stayed at one of Linda’s cabins. She’s an excellent host! We originally rented side A, but I realized after booking that it didn’t have a kitchen, and we planned on cooking most of the 5 nights we were there. She so graciously switched us to side B! The farm is SO beautiful, and thankfully the rain cleared away long enough for my daughter and I to walk one of the trails — even though we had to work around some giant puddles. 😆 It’s seriously so gorgeous! This particular listing is a cabin with 2 sides rented out, and the walls are PAPER thin, so just be aware of that! Definitely no fault to the host, but we could hear a lot of movement next door. I’m sure they could hear us too, though we tried hard to keep our 4-year old contained while indoors. Haha! THANK YOU, Linda! We’d love to come back when the weather is warmer and dryer. Personally, we would choose a single cabin next time, just for a little more space and less stress about our daughter’s crazy activeness. 🤭

Robins Nest was a rustic & peaceful slice of heaven. The cabin is adorable and well stocked. We loved sitting around the fire at night and stargazing. She had games and movies for our grandkids to stay busy. They loved seeing the cows in the pasture and exploring the area. We were so close to all the local sights and restaurants. We saw the wild horses 2 days in a row. Robin accommodated us in every way. We hope to come back soon. It was a perfect mini trip for our family.

Absolutely loved this place . My sister and I brought our Mother here for her 80th birthday. Could not picked a better place to make memories. Doug and Roxanne made this the best vacation ever.

Look no further, this cabin is perfection. Super convenient off the highway, with a grocery store less than 10 min away. But feels like worlds away. The cabin was spotless and very well kept. Absolutely perfect for our family and super kid and dog friendly. All the little touches have been thought of…from fully stocked spice cabinet, plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, spare toothbrushes, laundry pods etc. Weekend getaways can get tiresome when you have to remember to pack every single tiny thing, but here, it was all taken care of. Our kiddo and dogs loved exploring the property and we loved the thoughtful touches - towels for the dogs, toys for the kids etc. We had rainy weather which is always a bummer but loved the cozy fireplace and all the board games. All in all a lovely, peaceful weekend escape super convenient from St Louis. We will 100% be back. The owner was responsive and thoughtful and very clear through and through this cabin is well loved.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The surroundings were quiet and peaceful, the river was gorgeous, and the cabin was cozy and rather spacious! We had a campfire in the firepit and watched a few of the DVDs (big selection!). The kids had fun waving to the neighbors who drove by. Great weekend, great cabin, great host!

We went for a siblings outing and it was amazing. We went to the pool and enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing was fun and also being able to see beavers right outside was pretty amazing. I will definitely be booking another time. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. Perfect place I recommend this place 100%.

We had a wonderful stay at Patty’s . We really appreciated the st. James concord juice and basket of goodies left. She even left a card wishing me a happy birthday. Thank you! We opened the bottle after fishing and watched the sunset. One of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen. Then the stars came out and enjoyed a camp fire, wood was left for us too. When you stay be sure to hike around the area, they have private trails and offer hiking sticks. Trout fishing is just down the road. Everything was great! Met Patty’s husband and he is just as kind. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay! Our favorite part was the outdoor pavilion and fireplace.

The log home met the needs of our family ages 6 months to 72 years old. Would recommend to others. Relaxing atmosphere with many thoughtful touches. Responded to questions quickly. We will return.

This place was perfect for us, and had everything we needed! The keurig and the drip coffee maker, with plenty of coffee, were nice. The beds and furniture were comfortable. The location was great for our family events in Bonne Terre and Fredericktown. We would definitely stay there again!

Jenna was a great host, very responsive to questions. Her place is very secluded and peaceful. All of the farm animals came to visit every day! 😊 The internet didn’t work, no cell service and no TV but that was a blessing in disguise, we were completely disconnected from everything! If you want seclusion, peace and relaxation this is the place!!

The panther den was very well discribe with extra little touches that weren’t expected! Jeff made it easy to communicate. He gave us a list of things to do and did tell us that most dining and shopping would be a little drive. Nothing to complain about! I hope others decide to come stay at Jeff’s panther den!
