This was such a lovely place to stay in on a long weekend in February. It was very cold and windy but the house was warm. The abundance of windows made us feel so connected to the surroundings, even when it was freezing outside. It's easy to really appreciate the design of the house- the wood paneled exterior, spacious bedroom, the catwalk, and the beautiful fireplace and the couch which can unfold. We made some delicious meals in their kitchen - it is spacious and has everything you need. Everything was clean, all the basics (towels, linens, etc.) were provided. We felt especially welcomed when we arrived and Ben had already set us a fire up in the fireplace. We also really enjoyed walks on their property - the views to the river are stunning at sunset. Thanks Ben and Shelly for hosting - we'd love to come back in warmer weather to kayak!

Always a pleasure staying at the cottage. This was our 2nd time visiting, our dog loves to run around in the pasture, and we love the coziness of this spot. The bed is so comfy. Kathleen is a wonderful host!

Very nice place with a great view of the river. The neighborhood was quiet and nice to walk with our dog. We stayed here to visit nearby Chestertown for their Christmas festival and we were not disappointed. We were able to get to town in under 10 minutes and were also within a short driving distance to a number of other restaurants and breweries. Would absolutely stay here again.

The finishes Dwayne has chosen are just beautiful. The home is way more home than we expected. The thoughtfulness is immediately and repeatedly apparent as you use the spaces throughout the home. The community is a little boring. We like fishing and unique places to eat but please please note that things close early and it’s a very very small quiet town. Eat like a human, Bee crafty, visit Zelda’s and go at night to meet the bridge guys. ;-)

Amazing spot, so comfortable, inviting and warm. Felt like a cabin in the West. All in all, a perfect stay.

This is a great large open suite. Very comfortable and attractive with everything you might need and an easy walk to restaurants, theatre, and riverfront. We’ve stayed here several times as well as in the house next door hosted by the same lovely people. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing weekend! It was the perfect, restful retreat that I needed. Beautiful views, gorgeous rooms and a super comfortable bed. Bobbie was very responsive, had water, drinks and snacks. She and her husband went above and beyond. I look forward to returning in a few months for another peaceful retreat.

Tyler’s home was exactly what was needed. It’s perfectly tucked into a quiet area on the water. As soon as we walked in we felt right at home. Everything was spotless and welcoming. We love to cook so the large kitchen with the big island worked great. Bedrooms and the bathroom were very spacious. The long sunroom had places for multiple people to sit and relax, play games, socialize or just take in the views of the water. Step outside and chill or sunbathe on the deck. We woke up early and sat out by the water to watch the sunrise. The place is amazing. We appreciated his mindfulness about making people feel at home. There were little touches that some might overlook…extra padding on the carpet in the children’s room, extra blankets, chocolates snd marshmallows for the firepit, canoes, wood and a lot of dishes. If you like fishing this is the spot! We caught catfish, perch and fought with three huge carp. :) The carp won but we’ll get them when we visit next time. Thanks Tyler!
