This is an extraordinary place. The house sits above the others on the ridge, so there are unobstructed views in every direction. The yard is a stunning mature garden with trees the owner played in as a child. The kitchen is enormous and there is so much living space! I never wanted to go out, but we were 10 minutes from both old growth redwoods AND beach walks! I can't recommend this place enough!

This was our third stay at the Blue Whale Bungalow, and it remains our favorite place to stay in Rio del Mar! Mariam is a wonderful and generous host who immediately remembered our family and welcomed our two dogs. The Blue Whale Bungalow is clean and cozy, with everything you need to enjoy the beach or relax indoors. It is located just two blocks from the beach, where you can enjoy the ocean breeze, search for sea glass, and admire the beautiful sunsets. We look forward to visiting the Blue Whale Bungalow very soon!

Ideal location for exploring the area, walking distance to Cal Poly, privately set back into a peaceful garden setting with no through traffic. Exceptionally quiet, comfy, and clean. We felt right at home. Way better than expected and Linda is lovely, responsive, and helpful while providing great privacy. Blissful stay.

It has become a tradition for us to go here once per year. There is room for 3 siblings and their spouses. The wives like the thought-out kitchen and it is easy to work in. There are enough televisions for everyone. Pool, darts in the garage and more activities in the back yard (mini-bocce, corn hole and a covered patio table). The neighborhood is nice to walk through. There is a trail by an intermittent stream 1/2 mile away.

House was spacious and very clean. Looks exactly like the photos. Less than 10 minutes from downtown shops/bars/restaurants and within 20-25 minutes from all the wineries we visited. Right down the road from the Sensorio exhibition as well. Our group had a great time and I would recommend staying here.

Thanks to host Mina for their kindness and flexibility in allowing us to stay an extra hour. Our experience in their home was wonderful, and we felt very well taken care of. Everything was perfect, and we hope to stay again in the future! Highly recommended!

The location to restaurants, towns and beaches for the price is unbeatable! The home was easy to locate, very cute exterior with great amenities for the kids. The inside was neatly decorated with a beachy vibe. The drive to the beach was short, we found a delicious restaurant, Ada’s fish house on the way that hit the spot for my whole family. Our server was great and gave us a tip to a local beach spot. Incredible. Wish we stayed longer to explore more. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was perfect and the access to laundry services helps so much when traveling with a pack like mine. We’d definitely stay again.

The rental was charming in the middle of beautiful oak trees . Very safe location and provided privacy. Walkable to beach and town. Clean and well equipped. Host was available, if needed, and went over the top to make sure our stay was comfortable. Hope to return soon.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Checking in instructions were clear and easy to follow. We were in town visiting family, will definitely consider staying here again in the future. Host were very responsive and friendly. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, great location and definitely enjoyed the privacy it offered our family.

We enjoyed the space and the view! Lots to do nearby but also a nice place to relax and unwind.

Our stay in Paso was amazing thanks to this beautiful perfectly located condo! More spacious than we expected with a huge beautiful bathroom. So many restaurants and shops in the area and the square right outside our front door!

Great place - very close to downtown Palo Alto. Host was very responsive and helpful. I would definitely stay there again and even recommended it to my work colleagues who travel frequently to the area!

Michelle and Peter are absolute gems. They were amazing with communication and helped me a ton when I left my wallet back at the Airbnb! Super honest and helpful cleaners as well. 100% our new go-to HMB getaway! We can’t recommend them enough!

We had a wonderful stay at Alan and Amelie’s with our friends! We especially loved the comfortable, spacious, charming and sunny common space, perfect for all of us to hang out together. The place had good separation of space with comfortable beds, a clean bathroom and complementary coffee in the cute vintage kitchen. It was walkable to downtown and the beach - a perfect home base to explore Santa Cruz! Thanks for being such responsive and welcoming hosts.

My friend and I were in town for Silicon Valley Reads and were instantly charmed by this listing's photos. Not only is this private in-law suite exactly as cute in real life, Ed and Toni were warm, welcoming, made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay and were always extremely responsive to messages. 10/10! This was the cleanest AirBnB we've ever stayed in! Pristine! Tidy! Stunning ocean views from both the living room & primary bedroom. The entire villa has been remodeled yet still has the Old World Charm and coziness. This Villa is located on the 2nd floor of North Bluff - is very private - has a pool jacuzzi just steps away. The resort offers many amenities, restaurant, bar, room service (or pick up) massage, sauna - endless. Aptos Village is right across the street - walking distance offering many shops, market and a great place for pizza and Italian food. We will definitely stay with Sue again - as soon as we can! Next time, we'll try her other property #33. Sue is a GREAT hostess in every area and has earned Super Host many times over!

Perfect spot for a nice weekend vacation. Everything is within walking distance and our host was just amazing in every way! Will definitely want to come back again!

Staying at Seascape was the perfect kid-friendly vacation. The pool was easy to access from our condo and the views were beautiful. The condo's set-up with two bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and a half bath downstairs was great for our family of 5. The private beach was beautiful - we saw otters, whales, and my son found two perfect sand dollars walking down the beach. It was a little bit of a trek to get down to the beach with three little kids and all the beach gear, but once we were there no one wanted to leave. Several near-by restaurants were delicious, especially the newly opened Dos Pescados. It was fairly easy to get into Santa Cruz too, but we did have to time traffic or it would double the drive time (to almost 45 minutes).

We liked this place so much that we returned for the second year for our winter getaway. The space is ample for a couple and the furnishings very comfortable. There are restaurants and coffee shops in easy walking distance and the beach is also just two blocks away. Aaron is always ready to help

The view from this property was extraordinary with amazing sunsets from the deck each night. The location was perfect to visit Santa Cruz one day and Pinnacles National Park the next. The host was very responsive. We’ll definitely save this to our wishlist.

We had the best time! The home is exactly as described. We loved hanging out in the living room with the floor to ceiling retractable door open. Perfect weather. We will be back!

Great location in Aptos in quiet neighborhood with short walk to beach & shops/ restaurants- for summer with kids, pool conveniently nearby/ visible from front patio-perfect 3 br 2 1/2 ba set up for our group - thank you for having kitchen stocked with little things- esp coffee/tea-Roberta was quick to respond/ communicate - arrival/ departure super easy- highly recommend!

This place is such a gem that I’m inclined to be selfish and not tell everyone about it! Modern appliances, close to grocery and mass department, clean and recently renovated. Very happy and will book this again!!
