Spacious, comfortable, very well appointed & away from hustle & bustle of town which suits us. Use of the washer & dryer particularly handy. We did not want for anything. Thank you Sharyn for blessing us with your gift of hospitality!

Stunning location overlooking the ocean. The property was spacious and had everything we could want. Comfortable bedrooms and great shower.

This is our second year at Joe’s place in Reefton. It’s a retro house fitted with lots for young kids, with a beautiful garden. Highly recommended!

Fantastische Lage mit super Blick von der Terrasse oberhalb des Oezans. Grill vorhanden, Sonnenuntergang direkt von der Terrasse einmalig. Einrichtung liebevoll und individuell, aber man sollte keinen top modernen Standard erwarten. Für uns aber voll ok, soll keine Kritik sein. Kochgelegenheit mit 2 mobilen Kochplatten, mit denen größere Gerichte etwas Kreativität verlangen. Dafür aber noch Außengrill vorhanden. Kurze, aber steile Auffahrt auf Schotter mit teilweise ausgewaschenen Rinnen. Stellt prinzipiell kein Problem dar, sollte man sich aber zutrauen. Kurze Wege zu den Pancake Rocks und Pororari River Gorge. Wir würden definitiv wieder buchen.

A lovely peaceful location with a flat walk to town and the beach. It was great that Carol provided breakfast for us. It is a comfortable home and the kitchen is well stocked.

Super suite right next to Paparoa. I loved being on the top floor, surrounded by palm trees, birdsong, and the sound of the ocean. It is possible to do an inspired hiking loop without driving by walking down to Paparoa track, cutting south in the inland track, and circling back to the cottage. This will take you past the caverns, pancake rocks, and some of the best hiking around. I felt the suite was very cozy and had a warm feeling.

Beautiful home! We enjoyed watching the sunset over the ocean. Such a great location! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home.

This has been my fifteenth BnB since coming to NZ about three months ago and one of my very favorites so far. Was it George's hospitality? Was it the very modern kitchen? Was it the very comfortable bed? Was it the pristine bathroom? Or the large, comfortable living room? Or the great laundry features? Yes! All those things and more! But when you step into the living room and see the view of the Okari river mouth steps from the front deck, along with the Tasman sea beyond, you know why you came here! Are there stores, shops, or cafes in Cape Foul Wind. No, but Westport is about a 15 minute drive north if that's your desire. So bring all your supplies for your stay. There's plenty to do. Stroll kilometers of pristine beaches or the river at low tide. Tauranga Bay beach is just up the road if you fancy surfing or just watching the rollers pounding the amazing rock formations. Or take a stroll to the lighthouse and the seal colony. I wish I had stayed longer! Highly recommend!
