Amazing stay at this home, host was amazing the entire time and was very flexible with us coming late. The property is extremely beautiful and peaceful. The home has been furnished in a matter that makes it feel as if you're living in a museum which it just awesome it takes you back to the time period the home was built! I think this would be a great getaway for a family or really anyone wanting to get away from everything and just enjoy nature.

Robert is an awesome Host. We we're staying due to working in the area. We had a last minute need to extend our stay and Robert was very responsive and with kindness he extend our stay. We really enjoyed the accommodations after long days of work. Beautiful place and would definitely stay here again.

This place is great for RV campers that love fishing and enjoy the peaceful water front location. Groceries and restaurants at walking distance. Elizabethtown is a cozy location and people were very friendly to us. Only comments are things included with camping in the country: lots of ants nest and geese $hit.

The cabin was lovely and right on the river. We didn’t have much luck with the fishing unfortunately but that didn’t matter too much because we enjoyed how nice and peaceful It was on the floating dock. We also enjoyed the fire pit and the played a few games of cornhole that was available at the cabin. The cabin itself was cozy and no issues with cleanliness or odors as another review stated. In the photos the cabin looks pretty remote. However there are other homes/cabins next to it, so just be aware. The ones on either sides of us were empty while we were there so no issues. We loved the cabin and will likely be back for another weekend getaway.

The cabin was quite spacious though the design was a bit odd from what I am used to. Plenty of room outside with the large decks and yard. The kitchen was well stocked and the rest of the house was in awesome condition. Easy access to the river as well as the entire southern NC coastal area. The tap water had a strong iron smell that was especially noticeable in the shower, but I believe that is pretty common in the area. There was a filtered water pitcher on site which worked well for drinking water. I can safely recommend this place for anybody looking for a quiet get away. Just make sure you have a 4WD capable vehicle as the dirt road to reach the cabin could easily cause problems for low riders, especially if it has rained recently. We plan on staying here again next time we take a coastal vacation.
