nous avons passés trois nuits dans un logement très agréable à proximité de nombreux sites. il est très bien équipé, au calme et nous avons pu voir des aurores boréales depuis le canapé à travers les baies vitrées du salon. nous recommandons fortement ce logement ! merci pour l'accueil et les idées de visites à proximité !

This house was perfect. The hostesses met us when we arrived, gave us instructions on things they wanted us to make sure we knew (for safety and such due to the temperatures), and spent around 2 hours giving us a tour and history of the house. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed and they were so thoughtful with all of their recommendations for activities with our children. We 100% recommend this house to others and we will be coming back in the future!

Burma’s beautiful home is ideal for anyone who wants two bathrooms (hard to find in Iceland) and plenty of space. It’s in a quaint small town very close to the Golden Circle and not far from Selfoss, which has more substantial amenities. Easy drive to Gullfoss and Geysir, and a small grocery is within walking distance of the house. The views from the sunroom are beautiful. The kitchen is modern, functional, and spacious. The outdoor area, including the hot tub, is wonderful in the evening. The nearby restaurants, including those in Reykholt, are wonderful! We highly recommend this place for people who want extra space and don’t want to stay in the busy capital city. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

It is a beautiful cabin in the middle of nowhere. It was farther than we had home to items we wanted to see. However, the setting was quiet and secure, one could not hear any traffic. The only downside was the Jaquzzi didnot heat up and kept flipping the breaker. We were never able to use or enjoy it. We did reach out to Hafsteinn he tried to help us get it working, but it never did. That was the reason for choosing this location.

WOW! That is the best description of Geirthruder's place. Maybe even more perfect than the photos. A perfect location to easily check out the Golden Circle The layout of her house is great with the living area dividing the two bedroom areas. Easy entrance, over-the-top kitchen, cozy woodburning fireplace, presitine in every way.... and THE VIEW!!! And the quiet!!! We cooked a good bit, just for fun. There is an amazing food market just a few minutes away (which was a highlight of our stay), Little Farmers Market. Staying at Geirthrudur's is a must!!!

Creo que es el mejor lugar donde me he quedado! La casa es muy bonita y tiene todo lo necesario para que pases unos días en casa. ( sin que sea tu casa ) Sin lugar a duda, lo recomiendo a cualquiera que quiera visitar la parte sur de Islandia.

If you are looking to stay in Iceland and have a central location that allows you to see a bit of everything in the Golden Circle, while still having the utmost privacy, this is the place to stay! The cottage has most amenities you'd look for with a few exceptions, the wifi access is good enough for streaming when you need to relax, the lake is beautiful and being able to watch the Northern Lights almost every night from the hot tub was one of the highlights of our trips.

Was our 2nd time and it was perfect, we had luck to be able to watch northern lights for a while. It was windy but he really enjoy the hot tube and the sauna 🥰 Inside everything it’s amazing and so comfortable It’s so good to wake up and see the surroundings 🥹 a perfect morning with a coffee.

Niceland Cottage was the perfect spot to host my wife's parents for their first trip to Iceland, within an easy drive to Selfoss for provisions, the well-known Golden Circle sites, and in a beautiful location surrounded by the trademark drama of the southland landscape. Returning to the hot tub at the end of a day driving and hiking had me giddy. Super clean as others have commented, with a well-stocked kitchen and a very welcome washer/dryer combo. Hosts were proactive with their instructions, and quickly responsive when we had questions. We enjoyed a low-key aurora show one of the nights, and in the right conditions (solar activity and weather) this would be a wonderful spot to view them - light pollution slightly visible over Selfoss to the south and the Fridheimar greenhouses to the east, and then only with low cloud ceiling.

We had the most amazing time. I was so excited to stay here based on the pictures and it did not disappoint. The hot tub and sauna were amazing and the views were spectacular- you feel like you’re on another planet. We had some difficulty getting in to the accommodation but the hosts sorted it straight away and provided an alternative solution. The video of how to find the property was also super useful. Would recommend it to anyone for a truly memorable and magical experience.

Super séjour dans un environnement reposant. Nous avons été gâté côté météo et avons eu la chance de voir des aurores boréales du logement (ou au niveau du chemin juste derrière) presque tous les soirs, rendant nos soirées magiques et inoubliables. Après des journées bien remplies, le jacuzzi était particulièrement apprécié. Les enfants (tout comme nous), avaient des étoiles plein les yeux. Merci Elsa pour votre accueil et Throstur pour nos échanges. Nous espérons avoir la chance de revenir dans votre beau pays

Belle et grande maison, bien équipée, des chambre spacieuses et agréables. Nous étions sept personne et cette maison était parfaite. La piscine municipale est juste à côté, avec des bassins d'eau chaude, le top en hiver. Très bien située au milieu du triangle d'or, donc parfait pour les visites.
