Loved this super cute and rustic cabin. It had a wood burning stove, as well as electric radiators so you don't have to keep the fire alive all night. The lodge was great and had complimentary coffee and tea, as well as wifi, a bodega with items to purchase, sauna/hot tub, and comfy couches with a fireplace - great spot to hang out if you want out of the cabin.

Loved this location and loved skiing at Powderhorn mountain! The only thing is the wood fireplace is meant to be used as the main source of heat - it worked out just fine but we it took a little bit to light the fire! All in all would highly recommend!

This was our second stay at Alpenglow and it is our favorite Airbnb. The cabin is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and has everything you need, from a well stocked kitchen to games. The setting is peaceful, surrounded with tall pines and a mountain vista. We love the location for its access to great ski touring. We will definitely be back!!

We have stayed here before and came back because of what a great host Joel is. He went above and beyond to clear snow and make sure we were all set up with plenty of firewood and pellets for the pellet stove. The hot tub was ready to go and he had plenty of towels for us. We will be back again for sure!

Description was spot on and this is definitely a place to get away and relax. Amazing opportunities for stargazing and relaxing by the fire. Also, the location makes for a convenient home base to explore Ouray, Telluride, etc. We would stay again if we were to come back to the area in the future!

This is a cozy cabin in a beautiful location. We’ve stayed here twice now—first in the fall and now in the winter. The cabin is warm, bright, and surrounded by a forest, making it feel like something out of a fairy tale! It’s easy to access, even in winter. There’s plenty of space for five people and an infant, making it perfect for families.

This space is so much bigger than expected!! The couch was super nice and comfy and reclined 🤩 loved the patio space too. It was great for having 5 people in there. So walkable to anything but that’s also Lake City since it’s small. It was really great.

This is a unique, clever, comfortable and well appointed place to stay. I highly recommend the Lumberyard if you are in the Leadville area. Ski areas are 30-45 minutes away. Leadville is an interesting place with much history and is located in a beautiful high altitude location offering many outdoor activities. Check it out.

Truly a remote off the grid cabin, but it had everything that we needed, and the host was extremely easy to communicate with. Was even better when we found the "short cut" to cut drive time off our trip to Wolf Creek. Host checked in and made sure we good throughout our stay. The stars were incredible in the evenings, and you don't realize how far out you are until you see Del Norte lit up at night from the cabin. Hope to be able to experience the cabin in the Spring or Fall for some local fishing.

Our family of three felt right at home in Cristina’s quiet cabin.. we heard a wolf howl and loved viewing the stars in that high lonesome canyon after a day of hot springing. Recommend 10/10!

Michelle’s place was great! The cabin was clean, beautifully decorated, and was so peaceful. Michelle was very easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

We enjoyed our stay! Great location to get up to grand mesa for XC skiing. We also loved how well the stocked the place was for cooking meals. Would definitely stay here again.

Jessica and Walter were amazing hosts and the cabin was to die for. Everything went perfect and was easy to get too. I would highly recommend this cabin and area for anyone wanting a historic adventure in a small town in Colorado!

This was one of the nicest stays I’ve ever had. I was at Dan’s cabin for 4.5 weeks, and it was just heavenly. I arrived when the Aspen were just budding and got to see them fully bloom. The cabin was fantastic. It was just my cat and me, so we had more than enough space. The bed was incredibly comfortable (I was grateful for that since I was staying so long). The bathrooms were great and the kitchen was SO well-equipped. My favorite part was all the windows. They were all huge and open—no coverings—so it felt like you were part of the outside with beautiful sights to see. The location was perfect for me—easy to do a number of day trips, but fantastic to come back to with privacy and serenity. Dan was always super-responsive! He had to come one night to move a huge Aspen tree from blocking the driveway to the cabin. He was always on call for questions. I feel so fortunate that Dan allowed me to stay. I hope to again next summer. It was the nicest time I’ve had in a long time.

We had a wonderful stay. Mike is friendly and responsive, the views are beautiful, and the cabin is spotless. This was our second stay at this cabin and will not be our last—highly recommend!

I feel extremely grateful to have met the amazing hosts to this cabin. Their family was instrumental in getting this important environment and the public lands around it conserved. Staying here will be a special experience for anyone who cares about wild, scenic environments and their future. I can't say enough about the kindness and understanding of the hosts, and how incredibly fantastic the cabin is. The showers are hot so don't worry about the outdoor shower, and the fireplace and ambiance of the setting made for a peaceful stay. The hosts even invited me to their Winter Solstice party on the property, which was the icing on the cake. If you're looking for a secluded, idyllic setting with the ultimate in privacy and natural surrounding, I can only recommend.
