Lovely house, very comfortable, warm and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed for our stay. In a great location only 10 minutes away from Durham and easy to find. The rooms were all spacious, the bathroom was lovely and the free standing bath was a bonus, I had a very enjoyable soak. Tom left very generous welcome gifts. We would definitely stay there again. Great spot! The location could not have been more perfect for walking to family members in the area and shopping. House was ideal for our family of 4. The Christmas decorations made us feel right at home as we were so far away from Arizona. House was very clean as well. Thank you for being so responsive.

We had a wonderful stay at Percy Cottages. The photos don’t quite do justice to how cosy & homely the cottage is - and what a fantastic location, so close to the castle and some great pubs. (and only 15 mins walk to Barter books) During a spell of cold weather we were warm and cosy. Our family of 5 had plenty of space to relax and enjoy some quality time together. The well stocked games cupboard was an added bonus, as was the welcome pack.

The cottage felt like a home from home! We instantly felt comfortable. Spotlessly clean and simply cosy. There was everything we needed for a very comfortable stay and we loved the little touches that made the space really homely and cosy. It was so easy to find and it is in the perfect location to explore Amble, go for great walks or travel to other surrounding towns. Lynda recommended some lovely places to eat or visit which we were really grateful for. Me, my mum & my dog really enjoyed staying here and we already want to stay again!

Property was very clean and tidy and was extremely well furnished with all essentials and more. We felt the hosts had gone the extra mile with some of the finishing touches / extras which came across as they genuinely cared. Hot tub was great, ready to use on arrival and private. Only minor issue we had was the cot bed was a little bit tempremental to put up, however when we asked for any advice Chris called immediately.

Sandra is a one of a kind host ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ We had a medical emergency and not only was she super responsive on any messages before and during our stay. She offered above and beyond. Onto the accommodation, it is spotless, the beds are SO comfy, the house is quiet and spacious. A great venue and the Italian restaurant down the road is a family run beauty… get yourself there 🇮🇹 Could not recommend a stay here more. Thank you Sandra for making a stressful stay so much more manageable!

Wonderfully comfortable and cozy townhouse. It was exactly as described. Free parking in the back and the host provided free parking passes for on street parking in the front, enough for our entire stay. I would book again without hesitation.

John looks after the place well and is helpful and responsive. A good host. This is the second time we've been, and with good reason. Others have evidently visited even more frequently. We love it here. Great having the amenities, which we used every day over a Christmas week.

Lovely caravan - easy check-in with lockbox, and parking space next to caravan. Lots of extra thoughtful touches inside that made it feel very home-from-home (board games, DVDs, even a jar of biscuits!), extra blankets, lovingly decorated, and the essentials were there too so we could get comfortable straight away (I’ve stayed in some places where there wasn’t even one toilet roll, hand soap, or washing up liquid!) The location was nice, The view out of the lounge window of the sea was lovely, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The site shop etc obviously wasn’t open as it’s out of season, but local shops are a short drive away. Two toilets is a lifesaver with children. The two doors into the main bathroom from the hall and the master bedroom gave us a giggle as I thought it was a cupboard - remember to lock both doors if using the main toilet haha! But space-wise, it is a clever idea. Midday checkout was really useful too, less rush! Would definitely stay again, thanks for having us!

Victoria’s caravan is fantastically well kept and very well equipped. We stayed to visit family and have days out around the North East for February half term. Victoria was very friendly and provided clear instructions on how to access/use everything. Would highly recommend staying here!

Caravan was immaculate and very homely loved the added touches. The Seaview was a bonus as the children loved it. Our family enjoyed our Christmas in the caravan was a lovely experience. Would definately recommend to others. Great host 5*.

Love this place, right by the beach, and a beautiful beach too. The host was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. The place was immaculately clean, just as described, lovely and warm with all the utensils and appliances working exactly as they should. Easy to walk to town, with a Co-Op and pubs and restaurants there. Shower pretty good too. Family bathroom and a small but useful en-suite to the main bedroom

We had a relaxing stay at Pebbles. Situated in a very picturesque park overlooking the sea and the wind turbines which I felt were quite mesmerising! The park itself has everything you need from entertainment, pool and restaurants. The beach was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed the rock pools and scenery. Lots to do in the area especially if you like castles and history. We would recommend a stay at Pebbles.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Swallowtails cottage. A beautiful property that exceeded our expectations, well equipped kitchen, warm and cosy with the added bonus of a log burner. The bed sheets and towels were clean and fresh, both the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. Perfect location for a wedding we attended, the venue was only a ten minute drive from the cottage. Overall, an excellent base for what we wanted and would very happily stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Orchard. The caravan was lovely, well equipped and comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful with beaches and coastal walks just minutes away. The enclosed secure garden was great for our dog and we could sit and have a drink in the lovely garden in the evenings. We would definitely recommend The Orchard.

Cosy, clean and luxurious place with underfloor heating, well appointed kitchen with dishwasher and a large wood burner stove in the sitting room. So close to the coast path and sea. Perfect for visiting Morpeth or Newbigging. Highly recommended!!

Our four day winter stay at The Cottage was a delightful experience. The Cottage is cosy, warm and well-equipped and perfect for two. The decor is pleasing with great attention to detail and is so nice to return to after a day of visits to the many local places of natural and historical interest within easy reach. Carol is an excellent host and in welcoming us made it clear that she was available if there was anything we needed. If we return to the North East for a break we will definitely check if The Cottage is available for our stay. Brian & Mary

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Kevin is the perfect host, excellent communication, spotlessly clean house and lovely little touches for your stay. Looking forward to staying again next time we venture up north

Fantastic place to stay for a couple and our border collie with great facilities, friendly and very helpful hosts in Diane & Paul. Couldn’t wish for better so welcoming and obliging. Easy access to lovely beach and coastal path walks either up to Amble and Warkworth or Druridge Bay and Country Park, or Alnwick and Alnmouth only a short drive away. So a great central spot to explore both coastal or inland attractions and something for everyone.

The cottage was perfect. The kitchen had everything you need, lovely cooking wear and home from home utensils. The log fire (courtesy logs) was beautiful. Really cosy and the bed was extremely comfortable with plush bedding. I have read other reviews and I can honestly say the location was extremely quiet. Yes it’s on a residential street but it was peaceful and both my friend and myself could park our cars right outside. My 6 month old puppy loved it and was well behaved given her new surroundings. Thank you Doreen for your recommendations of dog friendly pubs and excellent communication.
