We had a great weekend in Newcastle in this lovely apartment which was in a great location with lovely views. James was always responsive to messages and met us at the apartment to show us in. We would definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sammy’s place. The flat was easy to find with the descriptions/directions given prior. The host was very quick at responding when I queried parking (which was no issue at all). It was all exactly as described with a nice homely feel. The bedding felt luxurious, the towels were soft, the sofas super comfy and there was even a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. The location was superb, so close to the centre of Hexham, yet very quiet. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back or recommend to others. Thank you ☺️

We had such a great stay! The location is perfect with a mall across the street and lots of restaurants and shops. The host was very responsive which was nice because we got in later at night. The place was extremely clean which is super nice when on the road! I would definitely recommend!

Stayed at the apartment for 3 nights, lovely place that had everything I needed. It's in a great location so close to the city. Loved that I could park right outside the property. I would happily stay here again.

Great spot for a short stay. Everything you need is at hand. Great having 2 bathrooms and parking, great size for a family of 4. Lovely and warm.

This is our second stay in a Wooden Star Cottages property and it won't be our last. The furnishings are immaculate, the kitchen is properly outfitted, and the location is outstanding. There are many thoughtful details in the property, but the best recommendation is the bed and linens are top-notch and everyone in our party including a three year old, slept wonderfully well. Thank you Sam and Vicky for your hospitality. We look forward to staying with you, again!

I grew up in that area so it was convenient for family but it's also easy access via bus into the centre of town. right near some nice take aways. Nice spacious property to allow room for myself and my wife and also a separate room for our toddler. Kitchen was spacious. Nice feel to the property. We'd been staying in rented apartments on previous stays to Newcastle. This has for sure taken its place as the priority place to stay in the future.

We stayed as a family and used it as a base to visit Beamish. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. Also great to have parking right outside.

We enjoyed our stay in this property, it was decorated to a high standard and had a good amount of space for our needs. It had almost all the facilities we needed to celebrate Christmas (we needed to buy a few more trays for the oven but that was about it). One thing to be aware of that we missed when booking is that the bathroom is downstairs at the back of the house, behind the kitchen, which was a bit of a surprise as we didn't remember seeing that noted before booking, however didn't cause us too many issues during the visit. The only other thing to note is there were a few minor maintenance issues (missing/dead light bulbs for example) that should be fixed, however again this didn't cause any problems during the stay, just something that could be improved to fully bring out the potential of the space.

Wonderfully comfortable and cozy townhouse. It was exactly as described. Free parking in the back and the host provided free parking passes for on street parking in the front, enough for our entire stay. I would book again without hesitation.

Everything about our stay was wonderful! Pete is a really kind, flexible and friendly host and the apartment is just amazing, so well equipped, spacious, clean and in the most beautiful setting! I couldn't recommend it more highly and look forward to returning to make more happy memories :)

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Alnwick in this lovely light and airy apartment, which was at the same time and cosy and comfortable. As soon as I got there, I felt instantly at home. Curling up in the comfy armchair in the reading nook was the perfect way to spend a rainy morning. The bed is very comfortable, and the heating system is easy to use which I was grateful for since it was February in Northumberland. I have food allergies and like a good kitchen in places that I stay when I travel, and this one had everything I needed. The apartment is very central, just round the corner from the marketplace and easy to find and access. It's very handy for shops, restaurants and lots of independent coffee shops. It's also an easy walk from Barter Books and Alnwick Castle. I loved the apartment so much, I'm hoping to return later in the year. Thanks, Barry, for such a lovely place to stay!

Lovely apartment very clean and tidy. Very comfortable beds. A walkable distance to the shops restaurants etc. On site parking which is a bonus and a very quiet area

We had a lovely stay. The flat was just as described. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We were able to walk easily into Jesmond and also into Newcastle. Thank you for having us.

First class . Superbly presented apartment, clean and tidy with stunning views overlooking the marina. Thanks for making our stay a special one , we couldn't fault it. Would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone, 100% . We will hopefully be returning soon .

We booked after reading other reviews and we weren't disappointed. Immaculately clean and such a gorgeous place to stay. Perfectly placed to walk into the city, 15 minute walk, but tucked away in a lovely quiet location. Would definitely recommend 👌

Beautiful apartment. Lesley-Ann was very helpful, much appreciated sorting out a highchair for us at short notice despite not being on the initial listing. Exceptionally quiet considering its location under the bridge, walkable for great restaurants etc. We didn’t find the steps to be much of an issue at all despite having lots to carry. Easy to unload bags from the car on the road, then Quayside multi-storey was very convenient and cheap. Loved our stay! To note for other parents: The travel cot provided was basic, with a thin and quite hard foldable mattress that doesn’t stretch to the sides of the cot, and doesn’t attach to the sides of the cot. The sheet on the mattress didn’t fit, so spare material creasing up. It did the job for our toddler but if he had been a baby I’m not sure I would’ve been happy with it.
