When it comes to places to stay in North Bay, I have to say this unit is one of the best choices for a small family. Tons of open space, well lit space, very nice kitchen, host was so so helpful, and the scenery was perfect every evening through the huge windows. Staying here was definitely the right choice for our annual Family Fall trip, my family was hyped to stay here and we’d definitely stay again!

We will be back. That should say it all! (Or maybe I should write that we won't so we can keep it all to ourselves...lol). Book this location. You will not be disappointed!

Maria’s cottage was perfect for our family of four, including two teenagers! The cottage was spacious and clean. Outdoors was absolutely beautiful with various seating areas - a patio with tables/chairs, Adirondack chairs around a fire pit, picnic bench closer to the lake and then more Adirondack chairs right on the dock with a gorgeous view of the lake. The cottage had various outdoor sports/leisure items (kayaks, volleyball, badminton etc). Indoors there were cards, colouring books/crayons, novels etc. All of these made for a fun few days through rain and sunshine. Communication with Maria was timely and kind. We all had a restful and enjoyable 3-4 days at Maria’s cottage and would highly recommend it!! Thank you!!

Sandra was friendly and inviting and strived to make sure we had anything we needed, including hot coffee and fresh pastries. We had a family dinner at the bistro on our first night and the food was delicious, especially the lobster roll and homemade tomato soup. The accommodations were cozy, but definitely enough room for 2 or 3 adults. Unfortunately, we were there during a heat wave, and there is no air conditioning, so it was quite warm and stuffy in the evenings. I'm sure it would be quite comfortable during cooler weather. It was a handy location to stay when visiting family in the area, and the park and beach located less than a block away was lovely. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Anthony's place is a hidden gem nestled in the beautiful countryside, close to town but surrounded by a serene forest. The property is situated on a stunning lake, which was frozen due to the cold winter weather. The cozy yet spacious cabin comfortably accommodated three adults and two small kids, providing all the amenities as described. The view from the large windows and balcony overlooking the lake was breathtaking, offering a peaceful retreat in nature. Anthony was incredibly friendly and provided excellent check-in instructions and recommendations. We had the pleasure of meeting him, and he was super welcoming. This stay was an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil escape in nature.

Thanks Nicole for being a great host. We loved the cottage and with the snow around, it felt like a winter wonderland. Taking back a lot of wonderful memories from here but we would definitely love to come back here during summer to make some more memories and enjoy the summer activities.

Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at this location. The place was in meticulous condition and we much preferred it to any hotel/motel in the surrounding area. We had a small hiccup finding the place because there are 2 separate sections of this street but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable!

Kim was really communicative and good about making sure we had everything we needed for the weekend. Easily reached, easy to work with. We spent the weekend fishing/snowmobiling and the location was very good for access to Lake Nipissing. Fishing is always good on the South Shore. Space was spacious, clean, multiple bedrooms. Kitchen well stocked. Everything you need.

We wanted to get out of Toronto with our 3 kids (11, 12 and 14) and two dogs for New Year’s Eve this year… Ronald and Irene’s place was a fantastic find! A beautiful drive from Toronto, private and lovely snowy surroundings. The hot tub was great, and nice touches like lots of towels and bathrobes gave it a “spa” feeling. We also enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. We brought our own board games and didn’t explore the little town much, but it does have a grocery store and LCBO conveniently close. There’s a nice lakeside walking trail. The house had all the modern luxuries for cooking and relaxing. Loved the gas stove! Thank you, we’ll be back!

This Lake Nipissing rental was very much what we were looking for to do an ice fishing outing for 6 mostly retired guys – it was almost directly in from Lonely Island (about 1.5k walk). The actual cottage is very large, and it was nice having 2 ½ baths. The kitchen is very big with a huge island that also works as a pub height dinning area and there are tons of cabinets with all of the kitchen utensils/accessories you’ll need to make great meals. There are a few rough areas, which comes from a lot of use (e.g., trim work, a few chips, dents and worn chairs, shower heads, etc.), but for a northern cottage rental I would say it would be 4 to 4.5 stars and for an ice fishing choice I must give it 5 stars. I will very much consider this location again if we decide to do another ice fishing trip to this location again in the future and if you were doing a non-winter trip, I’m sure this location would be a perfect area with boat access and placement on the water for a large family outing.

Paul's house was a great "home base" for our group of snowmobilers and ice fishermen/women. We were a group of 14 and found the open spaces inside to be really great for conversing and being together. The location and proximity to the lake, ice huts, and local establishments was very convenient. The driveway was a bit steeper then expected with our snowmobile trailers but the driveway was very well plowed/maintained for safe access. Paul and his Father were incredibly pleasant, friendly and very communicative, making the booking and stay a positive experience. We will definitely keep this spot in mind!!
