We didn’t want to leave! It feels like a rustic tree house, with the wide porch boasting a plethora of rocking chairs; the gorgeous wooden soaking tub perched on the hill up a steep set of stone steps and surrounded by layers of green leaves filtering the sunlight; the mountains peeking through the foliage; the easy access to the beautiful river and its abundance of excellent throwing stones (a child’s delight); the quaint kitchen and its adorable gas stove; the cozy river rock fireplace; the sweet homey touches like books, board games, art supplies, extra blankets, provisions in the cupboards, and fruit and pastries provided upon arrival. Theresa was so very kind and accommodating in her communications. We loved everything! A note: if you plan on cooking a lot on the stove and are finicky about pans as we are, maybe bring your own as there’s only one nice cast iron (and the wonderful griddle). And if your stay forecasts rain, bring ear plugs—torrential rain on the roof makes a racket!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! What an AMAZING find!! The pictures posted by Aubri & Danny are great but just don’t fully capture how beautiful this cabin and property are!! The cabin was clean and cozy. Great set up for the kids with a bunk bed and bath upstairs. A spacious large bedroom downstairs and another guest room upstairs. Kitchen had everything it needed. The small fenced in backyard off the house was perfect for our pup and had a nice back porch overlooking the beautiful creek. Plenty of space for our family of 4 and dog. We spent so much time with our kids (9 & 5) down by the creek playing. Our dog even loved it!!! A great fire pit allowed us to take in the stars and make smores. Even the firewood was provided by the hosts (thanks Aubri!). A jacuzzi right off the side porch gave us nightly relaxation!! Can’t say enough how AMAZING our stay was. The kids have already planned where we are staying next year; ) Thank you Aubri & Danny for priceless memories!!!

Beautiful scenery, we loved listening to the cascading little waterfall while enjoying the jacuzzi tub on the deck right next to it. Love the spotlights so you can see it at night. Very much needed getaway for the weekend to relax and disconnect.

They create a space that it is hard to find , honestly your have everything you need on this luxury house , they thought on everything , you can feel when you drive in the fast sensation of privacy , walking up before I was in the house I was already in love with the fire downs stairs relaxation area they offer , the out door fire place area make you feel you are a hike away from the house next to this massive rocks next to you , once inside is another felling , I am a person I connect with emotions and places , and they really did a fantastic job here , for sure I will be back, for us it is just a 2 hours drive.

Easy to find location. Home matched the description. The instructions to the AC/heating units was very helpful, and all the amenities were in great shape. It was also really helpful to have the checkout instructions posted on the wall, which made checkout a breeze. The home was also clean upon check-in. Great, secluded and peaceful location near multiple hiking trails. Was perfect for a quick weekend getaway. Just be aware the neighborhood area is not super walkable. No sidewalks or shoulders. But there is so little traffic on the back county roads that safety while walking is not a concern. I walked my dog first thing in the morning, and cars always have us gave room as they passed on the local neighborhood rural roads.

Loved our stay here! Such a great dog friendly hideaway in an awesome location. So many beautiful hikes and great restaurants close to the location. Sitting out on the deck listening to the river at night was our favorite part of the stay.

We had a great time at Buttermilk Acres. The place is beautiful and a lovely get away into nature. The showers were awesome and bathroom was close to the cabin so going outside wasn’t a bother at all (even at 8 months pregnant!)

Loved the place. The house was super cute and very cozy. It slept all of us comfortably. The roads coming in and the steep drive way, you definitely need 4 wheel drive. But would definitely recommend this house. Thanks!

Had an excellent stay here with our two dogs. The house was clean, welcoming, and comfortable. The little touches like having a dog crate and dog bowls available made it even better. We had to use 4-wheel drive to get up the steep driveway after rain and snow came through, but otherwise it wasn’t an issue. The location was far away enough to have peace and privacy, but close enough to easily access shops and restaurants in town. Would love to stay here again!

Such a great place to stay!! Enough room for everyone and all just felt right at home and so comfortable. We can’t wait to return!!!

This cabin was the perfect setting for a much-needed getaway for us. Beautiful cabin, super clean, and so tastefully appointed. I can't recommend this place enough. I won't lie, the road getting to the cabin was a bit sketchy, and I'm glad they recommended 4 wheel drive to get there, but it had been graded by the time we left so it was much smoother. We'll definitely be back and have already recommended it to several friends

Best Airbnb we’ve ever rented anywhere. The house is as promised, spotless, and well appointed. You will not run out of plates, glasses, or forks for once. I had a question, Trisha got right back to me. Only a few minutes to Beech skiing. Please be good to this house and these owners, they are sincere and dedicated and have a beautiful home. We’ll be back, it was so good to have this time with our (almost grown) kids!

We had a great stay and enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful atmosphere. Convenient location to restaurants and activities while also providing privacy. The cabins were cozy and charming and had just what we needed. Most importantly, the pups loved exploring and had a great time too!

Loved this cozy cabin! Easy walk to the ski resort, & coffee shop. Perfect size for our family of 3 adults and our fur baby. Cabin was super close to the ski resort and centrally located to every restaurant, coffee shop & store we had on our bucket list to visit in Beech Mountain. . The view & sound of the creek was an added bonus . The gated wrap around deck / porch was my fav part of the cabin. Check in was a breeze and hosts were super detailed with directions & instructions . Hosts had super clear communication and gave fantastic local recommendations. 10 out of 10 recommend & hoping to book again for next year’s trip!

Don't hesitate to rent this one! The cabin was cozy, welcoming, and very clean. It was extremely easy to find and it's close to major highways, making it easy to venture out for activities if that's what you want. We went to have a laid-back reteat weekend and it was just perfect for that as well. Our favorite part was the porch with rockers and the long-range view that was truly inspiring. We spent many happy hours there. Neal is an attentive, prompt, and clear communicator. We loved his place!
